Hello Travelers, and welcome to the final Hype Week post, covering the Patch Notes for Last Epoch Season 3: Beneath Ancient Skies!
To kick things off, we have a patch overview video, covering many of the exciting features to find in Season 3! Check out the video below:
Season 3 launches on 2025-08-21T16:00:00Z. Twitch drops will go live for creators to begin streaming and their communities earning cosmetic rewards on the 21st at 00:01 UTC. However, those cosmetics will not be active in Last Epoch until Season 3 launches.
Downtime Notice: Servers will become unavailable starting 24 hours before patch launch at 2025-08-20T16:00:00Z in preparation of the Season 3 Launch.
- True Offline mode will continue to be available during this downtime through Steam launch settings.

We expect there to be some things we missed with patch notes this long, so we’re reserving this space to add or correct anything we find in the coming days. Feel free to check back here.
Unique Items
- Mantle of the Pale Ox grants 12-18% increased health for you and your minions (from 20-32%)
- Aaron’s Will grants 10-24% increased health (from 6-18%), 100-240% increased minion health (from 60-180%), and +100-240 minion health (from 60-180)
Aura of Decay
- A recent internal bug was discovered to be affecting Aura of Decay’s power during testing, making it stronger. We have fixed this bug, and as compensation are buffing Aura of Decay. It is now affected by your chance to poison on hit at 100% effectiveness (from 40%). Similarly, the Cold Death node is affected by your chance to inflict frostbite at 100% effectiveness (from 40%), and Blood Font is affected by your chance to inflict bleed at 75% effectiveness (from 30%).
Earthquake:
- Fixed a bug which caused the 2nd and 3rd hits of Earthquake when you have the Seismic Tide node to not gain a benefit from Harder they Fall.
Flay
- Corrected Flay’s node Deadly Plot to state it has a maximum of 4 points (incorrectly stated a maximum of 2 points)
Summon Raptor:
- Added new visual effects to the Brilliant Display node.
Summon Frenzy Totem:
- Fixed an issue where, with Dig In node specialized, the totem would fail to attach/tether to the player visually. Now has a better visual indicator of when tether attachment breaks.
Dread Shade:
- Fixed Dread Shade Item Snapshotting: When you replace Scales of Lemniscate with any other item, all existing Dread Shades immediately end. This applies to all future possible situations where changing your items would result in a reduced buff effect for Dread Shade.
Bone Golem
- Fixed a bug where modifying the maximum number of Summoned Skeletons while equipped with the Aaron’s Will unique item would not unsummon additional Bone Golems if the new maximum of Summoned Skeletons would affect the number of Summoned Bone Golems
- Fixed a bug where unequipping the Aaron’s Will unique item would not unsummon additional Bone Golems
Summon Skeletal Mage
- Fixed a bug where deallocating the Cryomancers node would not unsummon any active Cryomancers
- Fixed a bug where deallocating the Pyromancers node would not unsummon any active Pyromancers
- Fixed a bug where deallocating the Archmage node would not unsummon an active Arch Mage
- Fixed a bug where deallocating the Death Knights node would not unsummon any active Death Knights
- Fixed a bug where allocating the Death Knights node would not unsummon any active Skeleton Mages, Cryomancers, or Pyromancers.
- Fixed a bug where allocating the Archmage node would not unsummon any active non-archmage summoned Skeletal Mages.
Other
- Primalist Companions now have a revive VFX which plays when it is successfully revived.
- Fixed an invisible obstacle in Last Refuge Outskirts that could block movement.
- Disabled the system that leaves footprints in sand & snow until we can resolve some issues it was causing.
Edits to Previous Patch Notes
- We have added a sub-bullet under the line about the new screen visual effect when taking damage in menus.
- This can be disabled with the “Show screen effects when taking damage in menus” gameplay setting
- We have adjusted the number of new champions down to 6. (7 were originally announced but one has been disabled for launch after issues were discovered with it.)
Known Issues - Reserved Block
This is a list of known issues with Patch 1.3 which are planned to be hotfixed shortly after launch.
High Priority bugs that we will hotfix when we have a fix:
- It’s possible for Majasa to rarely end up invisible after her phase transition.
Issues that we have potential fixes for that are currently targeted for next week’s planned 1.3.1 patch:
- Anorak’s summoned by the Unique “Call the Anurok” have some animation issues.
- Summon Skeletal Mage ability stops summoning different types of mages after a scene transition.
- T-Rex Enemies can sometimes take a few moments before becoming active after they spawn.
- Wengari enemies have some animation issues.
- The hotkey for opening the in game cosmetics shop (default “k”) would not open it in Offline Mode.
- Uniques are not listed in alphabetical order in the Bazaar filtering ui.
- A pile of pre-1.3 specific enemies rebalancing changes didn’t make it in for initial launch and are expected with 1.3.1
- Bug causing Harbinger’s Needle Idol to disable The Land Before max companion count
