Error "Lost Connection" when switching zones

There is a difference between Bug report and Support Ticket. That’s why I got a reply from the Support ticket, but never form a Bug report.

Ah, never noticed the support button when in-game and calling the menu. I’ve sent them a mail. We’ll see if I get a reply or not. Thx.

I didn’t know I was in the same boat as some people after disconnecting almost everytime I was zoning during the campaign.
Then I realized I was also disconnecting 90% of the time while zoning in Temporal Sanctum as well and I found this topic, thankfully.

I can tell you that installing Cloudflare WARP did it for me (PC, Windows 10, default Cloudflare WARP settings). I haven’t disconnected again in Temporal Sanctum so far, fingers crossed.
Hopefully this issue gets fixed at some point in the future so I don’t have to use a VPN to play the game but I don’t think it’s going to be high on their priority list to help a few unlucky dudes with routing problems :frowning:

I began experiencing this after the 1.0.1 update last week. My existing online characters cannot leave End of Time, I just get disconnected when trying to zone transition. I made a new character who was able to get to the second zone (fire forest) but is unable to enter the first town. Sadly still an issue on version 1.0.2.

I’m on Linux Ubuntu 23.10. My wife is not experiencing this issue, her computer running Windows 10.

I checked the logs for my infinite loading screens in monolith and it seems to be the same root cause like the disconnects in loading screens. Less MTU is way more stable for me in monolith now aswell.
So maybe both issues can be resolved in one swoop.

Just confirming this issues has persisted since testing of multiplayer, I also did some network testing with VPNs and got it working again but I don’ think the dev team knows how to track it down to the root and is probably going back and fourth with the IaaS team to figure it out.
This is the core reason I am telling my mates to wait on this game and not go in on it till they get everything stable. If they can, I too am losing hope.,

EU WEST - I downloaded CloudFlare Warp and it didn’t work for me. I was stuck on loading screen… I tried to change mtu,”, but also it didn’t work. Right now I can’t play with getting disconnect every 5-10 minutes

Hello all,
I just wanted to inform that I found the reason for me to get those constant disconnects. Apparently the game uses P2P for something content I guess specially when changing zone during the campain.

In my home firewall I had the P2P blocked and that was breaking the connection in my case. So review this on your side because it might be the problem.

Hey man,
The MTU fix was kinda working for me, but it got worse over the week. After your hint with P2P Firewall, i sifted through my Router settings and found a Firewall/Filter option, that disables the Teredo-protocol for IPv4/IPv6 Tunneling.
After activating said protocol, i just ran 3 Temporal Sanctums with default MTU=1500 and no loading screen DCs for me (This NEVER worked, either gigalucky or it was the culprit). I can keep you guys posted on if it is successful further down the line.

Edit: 4th Temporal Sanctum - DC in first loading screen. Server rejects MTU=1500 and classic error log message -.- see ping 78.159.123.153 -t -f -l 1500
Aaaaand again see ping 34.107.31.210 -t -f -l 900
So issue not resolved :frowning:

Is this going to be adressed or are midcycle nerfs more important? I am still getting disconnected in the same fashion, due to malformed UDP packages from the EHG servers.

Hi This is still happening to me.

It happens EVERY TIME I go from Bazaar back to Monoliths. And randomly when I’m running monos or during a boss fight.

Please do something, I already updated all of my drivers/ network drivers.

I bet 100$ if i run monos i will have to post the same stuff into the infinite loading screen thread.

I can only say try the 2022 Realtec driver for your network adapter that fixed it for me,
at 2023 version i get again disconnects

I have tried the stock driver for my mainboard, the newest version and an older version. Does not make a difference.

Whoop whoop, the recent patch did it for me without doing anything! I just was a bit patient and somehow managed to level a Falconeer in softcore to check out in the meantime

Thank you dev team fixing this issue for me! (and hopefully many others  )

I actually just downgraded my 2023 realtek drivers for the latest 2022 version and it seems to be working. No disconnects in Temporal Sanctum so far ! Cheers man
