I don’t really know how you would build glass cannon and not get defenses… somehow. THere aren’t any offensive stats on suffixes for gear. Other than armor shred, which that build doesn’t use. So why could you not have your damage and your HP/Resists/Armor/Dodge?
Genuinely asking. I don’t play the build myself, so.
Read the thread and you will see numerous accusations in that regards.
I’m playing a game that has a loop based on extreme grinding and I just found out that my efforts can be undone overnight just because the developers found out that my build has a bug.
I’m annoyed because I like the game but apparently this can happen again and again in the future, this prevents me to play it again, even if i’d like to.
It’s the developers fault and not mine, since it’s not likely for me as a player to be able to debug the entire build first to see if it’s completely bug free before investing in it.
But yeah, you are right! I can’t complain about and point out that this is a serious problem. I’m the devil.
I’m not asking to not fix a bug to abuse it. I’m asking to not fix bugs that of which no one was aware after 3 weeks in a league because so many players already invested hundreds of hours in it. After over 300 posts you are still not able to understand a simple concept. I’m not sure whether you are insulting your intelligence or mine.
It’s because there is a falconeer node that converts uncapped crit avoidance to crit multi and a unique body chest that converts uncapped lightning res to mana regen that translates into damage. It’s a very high investment build to be honest and requires some serious stacking on the gear.
Well the build uses Lightning resistances on every piece of gear to get mana sustain while going into heavy negatives on Cold and Physical resistances due to Mourningfrost that scales damage per dexterity. Some of the ladder builds I see got 0-10% on the other resistances, -100%+ negatives on Cold and Physical. After bugfix this would be a very bad idea since you actually gonna get hit by stuff now.
Doesn’t convert it, it adds your uncapped crit avoid as crit multi. Very different. You don’t lose the crit avoidance, which is one of the biggest defensive upgrades you can get on any character.
Otherwise, so you are building solely lightning res on all suffixes of gear, is the premise of the build? That and Crit Avoidance?
Yeah it doesn’t really convert, that’s just a concept to explain it easily. And yeah, you are basically trying to stack dex, lightning res, crit avoidance and a bunch of other stats.
I love how people complaining about this bugfix just keep adding more arguments against their own complaints.
Cool, the monsters will at least have a chance against such overpowered build, eh? And we’re talking 1k corruption.
The overpowered build are what some players enjoy in the games. Other players might enjoy funky interactions, more players could enjoy cool visuals or fast builds that can zoom trough the maps. Nothing wrong in any of those.
I’m also of the opinion that a build that can completely avoid damage with a build that kills things before they appear on screen, the build shouldn’t exist in the form it’s in.
I’m sure the build was very fun, people playing it felt like gods and that’s enjoyable. These games are power fantasies. But if I was designing a game that I wanted to challenge the people playing it, I’d also stop this from working.
There is no challenge in this game like in any other arpg tbf. You gear up you character as you can to push the difficulty as far as possible untill you hit an hard wall. Or build a character that can clear the maps as fast as possible at highest difficulty possible without losing speed untill you hit an hard wall. There is no skill involved. It’s just parameters.
Those guys from Maxroll are just Content creators, they’re not Developers, they have no idea what actually is going on in the game, besides making builds from what they are seeing on the screen. Plus don’t trust everything Maxroll is telling you, it’s just a guide.
Maxroll guides have some decent infos for new players, but once you started playing the game long enough, you’ll see that you can optimize your own build a lot better that suits your playstyle.
I agree with you, given the game in it’s current state. But that’s going to change, and soon, when pinnacle bosses are released (hopefully) next patch as they have said we are getting them then. We’ll have content to push for that they’ll likely not want builds like this to circumvent or trivialize.
Would it be so bad if this build stuck around for now? No. But I don’t blame them for fixing it either now or later.
It gets wrong the moment people advocate for a BUG to be maintained rather than fixed.
Btw, I’m really curious to see how the builds performance will be affected at all.
I’d bet it will still be able to do all content it currently can, just not as fast as it should never have because it was bugged.
I think the Area / Radius need to be nerf a bit more imo. If you get over 200+ dex , the Radius / ARea the Ballista explosion can cover is still pretty huge.
it’s not much about speed but about being overwhelmed by the enemies that you are not able to kill anymore throwing you axes, projectiles and one-shotting balls of shit. lol
