Upcoming bug-fix to Ballista

There are pretty strong Shaman builds though. Strong considering EHG is saying 300C is endgame for them and what they want to balance arround.

Right now we are in a space of far to strong builds and that’s another topic to tackle.

Forgeguard and Shaman suffer from old passive and skill trees and that’s the most obvious thing about the two classes. Forge Guard is completely lost since the winion nerfs while sitting on lackluster skills with equaly old skilltrees. Yes Forge Guard needs a rework dearly.

With EHGs focus on endgame I don’t think class changes outside of number tweaks will happen in the forseeable future. Then again we need meaningfull endgame much more then class changes from my point of view.

Haha yeah, was editing, I think shaman is actually almost good. I am mostly displeased as a totem player because the new storm bolt stuff didnt tackle totems, and the new tempest totems we got are bugged, weak, and have no support on their tree or from shaman. Fix that and im a happy camper.

I’m happy with Totem Shaman when Totem Shaman is stronger then Spriggan Form Shaman ^^.

Are you guys serious? This is a joke. The wraithlord has been one shotting everything in sight since launch and you guys don’t do anything. Then you “fix” a “bug” on a build that requires 6 Uniques with Dexterity and Lightning Res rolled on all of them to even begin to work? Half the primalist spells are glitched and don’t work correctly and you “fix” this? Where is your time allocation to actual game breaking things?

Something I don’t understand; every single build someone has played and every single item obtained is going to be useless in a few months when this Cycle ends and a new one starts. All anyone is going to be left with is the fun they had while playing during the Cycle. I see some people here saying they’ve played 300 hours and are acting like that playtime is totally invalidated now. Are they saying that they had no fun during those 300 hours?

Don’t most hardcore people in ARPGs go hard at it for a few weeks, reach the pinnacle, stop playing, and then come back for the next season/league/.cycle/whatever? Or, in the case of hardcore players like Streamers, they experiment with multiple builds for the remainder of the season. I’m going to guess that the number of people who stick with broken or OP builds for an entire 3/4 month Cycle is very low.

Good job, EHG. If I’m every in the situation were I’m playing a bugged build and it gets fixed, I’ll just shrug my shoulders and move on to the next build. I personally find one of the strengths of LE to be the amount of build diversity there is to explore.

Some people are amusing, I dare to say some can even flirt with dishonesty when they need to defend fallacious statements.

There is nothing unexpected in this. When you are playing only extremely over performing builds there is a high chance to this happen.
Please spare me of the nonsense cry. It’s pretty easy to spot these things, and they are greatly hyped by streamers and community.
No need to advanced theory crafting or math, just basic gaming understanding.
Doesn’t matter if it’s Lizzard or the Pope who said the contrary, obviously he was wrong. Ask him, as some of you love to blindly follow influencers.

Anyone playing the game for a fair amount of time and pushing corruption to higher numbers can’t be ingenous to say that they are not seeing some mechanic are performing way better than it should with the intended design.

Focusing in this particular matter, you need to be incredibly ingenous to think a skill one shooting enemies out of the screen is the intended interaction.
If you care and want so much things to be broken like this y’d better play offline with mods that can make the game broken only to you.

That’s just the new breed of lazy gamers these days. Instead of looking at the bigger picture they only worry about “herp derp my bug builds work no more” and cry in the comments. Anyway once the new season ARPG comes out, they will be gone anyway so no idea why they be crying

Thanks, but I was mainly wondering how big that actually was in-game.

People make mistakes (other than the surgeon earlier in the thread, obviously), that doesn’t make them incompetent.

It doesn’t actually matter, given the error was scaling radius instead of area, that doesn’t change the ratio of what the area is compared to what it should be.

And yet what he said wasn’t wrong.

Players aren’t supposed to think? That does explain a few things about a few people.

Now I feel like you’re straight up lying to maintain you point, because you cannot bare to accept you’ve been proven wrong again and again in this thread.

There is just NO WAY anyone would advertise any game and try to get people to play it by saying “Hey, lets play this game, it’s really good and they don’t do mid-cycle nerfs”, and then feel bad when the company makes the game BETTER by fixing a bug.

Cheers, have fun.

You’re more than welcome to play my lvl 94 falconer who can’t do corruption 109 WITH ballista build if you’d like

The mental gymnastics of bug abusers crying that EHG is fixing bugs is hilarious   If they had spent that time leveling another Meta build they would be crushing high corruptions now. :joy: :joy: :joy:

Exactly this. EHG why are you caving to the posters who are shouting loudest? YOU guys are the developers. YOU guys have made this awesome game and as such we as the playerbase trust YOU to make the decisions of this game.

Not through a vote or from LOUD people. You guys were on the right track saying balance changes would be done end season.

Stop blowing every which way the wind blows EHG you guys are awesome.

Your argument is ridiculous. If he enjoys playing maxxroll or whatever other content creators build, it shouldn’t be a problem. Most people play games to have fun, are you the fun police? Is the only “right” way to have fun to play your own build. What if he just wanna turn the brain off and farm to relieve stress? I’m tired of this BS argument you and others come up with. This is not just clown behaviour, it is the whole circus.

The player loss from fixing these bugs mid-cycle is way bigger then leaving it until next cycle, and if you fail to see that you’re delusional. I don’t play falconer myself but If I had a build I played since day 1 with hundreds of hours I’d also quit.

The only change here is to the area of the explosion, and the damage etc will all stay the same?

Sounds fine.

I’ll never understand why players want nerf mid cycle If other people builds doesn’t influence their experience with their own character in any way.

btw most of people crying about overperfoming builds are COF gamers.

And the worst is the devs that actually think this is a good idea. Removing fun from their own game.

Playing games is about having fun and not removing fun options from the players.

Normally I’d agree, but unfortunately this kind of stuff does in fact impact other players. The game has a player run economy which is directly impacted when a build seriously outperforms others and makes gains easier.

Exactly This

Except for this bit :

You guys were on the right track saying balance changes would be done end season.

It’s the first season, you should’ve anticipated bugs and not released that statement yet.

Don’t care that you’re changing builds.
Don’t care that you’re fixing bugs.

What bothers me is that you couldn’t muster the courage to make the damn decision yourself.
Now it just looks like you’re Pandering.

Wouldn’t have even cared if you had just raised your hands and said “Look people, we screwed up and have to make some changes”, in fact I would’ve respected that decision.

At this point the MG economy is already jacked up, and the leaderboards are full of explosive ballista falconers. What is the point of the fix?

Personally I’ll probably eventually quit if there are mid-cycle nerfs. I refuse to play a price in time and effort for your errors. It’s not my job to find bugs. My gaming time is limited and I play CoF, so the time I spend working on a character is very valuable to me. I do tend to pick “S” tier builds because they are better with crappy gear. Explosive ballista does have enough requirements I had discarded the idea but I have the staff for wraith necro. Are you nerfing that next?

You are pointing to the survey as rationale but the data actually show the survey was poorly designed, not that players approve of this sort of thing. Obviously when you ask about bug fixes players will want those addressed, but you had a contradictory result about not changing balance. The data are inconclusive. The problem here is that from a player perspective “bug” and “balance” are indistinguishable unless the game literally stutters or locks up when we hit the button. All we see is a nerf.

As an aside, you really should start moderating the character assassination and snark in threads you initiate. I seriously considered whether I wanted to open myself up to attacks before I offered this feedback.
