The funny thing is, a lot of people taunting here is saying that you should play your own build instead of following trending build. If that is the case, then these player only gain from those OP build instead of having bad impact. Why? Because their build is unpopular and the equipment price on market is extremely cheap, and they can sell trending build equipment(which they don’t need) at souring price, giving them every advantage.
I hope EHG reacts to this feedback as fast as they did to the poll.
The people saying that MG is bad now is the same people saying they would play SSF because they hate trading.
It’s funny how things change when someone has a better character than you.
“Play whatever you find fun” then the person find a fun broken build: “YOU CANT PLAY THAT BECAUSE YOUR CHARACTER IS BETTER THAN MINE YOUR BUG ABUSER”
Sure MG is broken because broken builds but trade always going to be broken. Some people play 18 hrs a day man. It’s impossible to play trade and care about economy.
That’s a joke right? Because that’s EXACTLY what happened…
They admitted they screwed up with the bugs, but instead of deliberately making changes now, they ASKED us what WE wanted… And we, as a huge majority, decided we wanted bug fixes now.
So what is it that you’re not respecting the community’s decision?
Because sometimes the majority is wrong.
This is a videogame, let us have fun with broken shit.
I’m referring to the guy saying he was going to be OK if EHG just admitted they screw up and said they were changing things… Well, that’s exactly what happened, yet he’s not respecting what he said he would.
The fact that we voted for it doesn’t mean its right, but it sure means EHG should listen to us (almost 80% of voters) because we are their playerbase, so…
But also, EHG doesn’t just blindly follow the playerbase suggestions… (reason why shards still aren’t auto-looted).
They do what THEY think is right for THEIR game… So, I’m sure they think the right thing to do is try and fix game-breaking bugs as soon as they show up… The fact that they opened a poll before doing anything is just a bonus showing their good will towards the community.
There are like ten or fifteen people here complaining and arguing about not liking the upcoming change. Hard for EHG to pivot based on that.
Can someone explain to me how this change is going to brick their builds? I have not played it myself because the flashing screen would just be annoying to me.
From my perspective looking at this change from the outside, everything is staying the same except the explosions will not cover the whole screen anymore. What am I missing?
That’s a joke right? Because that’s EXACTLY what happened…
No, no it’s not.
They put their decision in the hands of some people on a forum thereby relieving themselves of any responsibility.
They shouldn’t have asked us, it’s their decision to make not ours.
This has created a divide in the community.
Over 1 Million copies sold.
69k people took a poll. (Just over Half of the daily active users)
“Huge Majority”
Maths in Current Year.
you’re not respecting the community’s decision?
No, No I’m not
The funny thing is that most people does not know exploding ballista area is a bug. They probably expecting something else and not have aware of what they have voted. And it was not a in-game voting, 70k vote doesn’t represent the gamers of the game, and it wasn’t even specific enough to make the call. If they point out the bugs currently have, and ask whether to fix these in cycle, the decision will be more acceptable.
In law, if you bought something that is stolen and you do not know about it, you have every right to keep the item or ask for a refund for the price acquiring the item. This is exactly the same as what is happening right now.
Also, doing the “bug fix” right now doesn’t benefit the game. You provoke 15-20% of all user (exploding ballista player), probably a lot of them will quit, and plant the seed of distrust in many other OP build players. The ones that start the build very early already profit from the build, and they have ever more purchasing power on the market since the item sources of the market will largely decline. Just pointing out this is a poorly made decision, I was hoping that they can reconsider or make another poll on this specified subject.
In high corruption it’s either they’re dead or you’re dead. Losing 75% of area means you’re no longer covered from all direction, so it would become that you either push very slowly or die instantly.
Certainly doesn’t stop anyone else from thinking their opinions are that of god’s.
I’ll admit, I made a mistake. Went back and verified, you’re right, only some of their posts show up there. You got me dude, I’m sorry to have given you something to get so uptight about.
The issue is not the balancing being done, but the fact that EHG said they would NOT balance mid-cycle. Then stated it was not set in stone. Then listens to a vote.
Every single gamer appreciates balance for the health of the game. But the communication and execution could and should have been much better.
Those complaints were voiced in the last couple of threads about mid cycle balance. The stuff here seems to be specific to this nerf.
You know more bugs are find each day, right? So there should be a daily basis poll system for this?
It makes no sense, really.
It does represent it way better than 10 guys complaining that a bugged skill got fixed.
But no balance changes has been made. Wth you talking about?
They made a poll asking if we wanted game-breaking bugs to be fixed, we said yes…
They also asked in the same poll if we wanted balance changes to over-performing builds that are not abusing bugs, we said no…
Seriously… The complaint is valid, it’s just not applicable on this situation.
Oh, well, if a content creator and not the actual game developers said the only bug is “damage loss” then it’s GOTTA be true and the devs fixing it is unwarranted!
In this thread: people acting like one-shotting packs offscreen is balanced and they didn’t know it was unintentionally bugged.
Yep, good luck playing the game where bug is everywhere, and your build might suddenly become shit because some landmine in under the table that you have completely no aware of exist.
No one said it is balanced. It is a S tier build, obviously it is not “balanced”, considering this game is highly unbalanced that most build can’t even get past 300 corruption.
It’s wonderful of how all these defenders of justice and scientists of the game are actually a mishmash of casual gamers who have never reached lvl 100 with their characters allow themselves to judge, insult and accuse of exploiting and cheating as if they have the truth in their pockets.
EHG has decided to allow the “community” to set the direction of the game but if the representation of it is this aggolomerate of extremism, intolerance and conceit then I really believe that it was mostly the loudest part without any arpg culture that voted.
I also find it inconceivable of how a single generic and vague poll can be the basis for important choices as in this case where to be fixed is a bug that no one was aware of. I’m tired of people arguing about how obvious it was, it wasn’t at all as are an indefinite amount of other bugs currently present that no one is aware of but which will turn out to be obvious and known as soon as the developers decide to fix.
This direction and policy of mid-league changes will only drive away the most assiduous players who invest all their time in a single character and only the sunday gamers will be left who in 2 or 3 months will go back to playing gta or fortnite completely forgetting about the newly discovered genre.
It’s wonderful how someone who joined the forum 6 days ago and has not been playing, following, interacting with devs on discord, seeing things getting built from scratch since beginning of Early Access is so entitled, thinking they’re so special for picking and abusing a bugged build after release.
Even shinier is that their only actual valid entry on the topic is stating people’s levels post release, ignoring most of us have likely leveled and deleted multiple characters to level 100 in the past 5 years…
God bless
Yep, only those 0.1% player who played the game from the very beginning has their word counts. Also those who can’t speak English or not interested in official channels should also be ignored. Those who play a lot of different games definitely don’t count as well, since they’ll just leave when they get bored anyway right?
D4 made their ignorant officials from their crusading fanboys, and now I can see it here as well
