So you're advertising your game as finished 21st February but 3 chapters of story missing on release

That is true. The never said all this or that would be in the game. Maybe the OP should go complain on the D4 forums also because that game is not “complete” since they are always adding content just like POE is. Then he wants to say others are the trolls. No he is in here complaining about stuff that was never said and about a game like the other ARPG that continue to get content over time.

It’s not about the DMs I had. When I started with TTRPGs in the 90s, we already had long campaigns with cohesive storylines.

But we had some old school stuff for D&D and other systems - a slim introduction in the beginning as an excuse to run through a dungeon full of monsters, traps, and puzzles. And treasures, of course. Tomb of Horror is the only example I can remember by name, and it is still around.

My point is, an RPG can be an RPG without a big story.

Ever played Dungeon Master? The whole plot was to kill Lord Chaos. You run down a dungeon with a squad of 4 toons you leveled up and equiped without any hints about what the story was about untill the end. Good old days ^^.

Doesn’t sound as good as the original Dungeon Keeper.

Complete different genre and if I’m not mistaken with several years between each other ^^

So? They both have dungeon in their name & they’re about a dungeon being stormed by some mouth-breathers heroes. Identical!

Don’t remember if I ever played Dungeon Master.

I played Legend of Grimrok, is that close enough?

Legend of Grimrok was nice as well the follow up on dungeon master so to speak ^^.

such anger over absolutely nothing, this game is so much better than D4 if anything go be angry at Blizzard for selling us trash compared to this gem which can add more content as it grows much like POE

Both games have their pros and cons. Just hating on Blizzard is stupid as well because we all knew it takes at least the first expension to make a Diablo game good :stuck_out_tongue: .

i hate them regardless but i loved this comment though. First they sold out with Immortal and afterwards D4. What a shame. It could have been so beatifull and i actually like druid in D4 :sleepy: :cold_sweat: :sob: but i will never play that game again. Wait only if i want to throw more money in the bin i might.

I tell you one thing… if I’m bored with nothing to play in sight an a wonder happens and D4 has a seasonal theme I like I’ll play it.

On top if the get items done and better ways to farm loot that isn’t on Duriel levels of slog D4 isn’t that bad of a game. If they add more skill choices to their skill twig with each expension so there is more choice (and most likely Blizz devs will see the need for this) D4 is a far smoother experience then LE what is realy rough arround the edges. It all comes down to timing in the end. Right now I have nothing to play so I run it down in LE. Hopefully there is something different popping up when I’m sick and tiered about LE for the moment ^^.

The role I’m playing? The murderer of many monsters.

in certain ways it isnt that bad of a game i agree.
The thing is however that theyve added so many things way later which should be in the main game.

They are milking the cow maximum with minimum efford in my opinion and they are not hiding there intentions. Iam not supporting this type of attude any further, even if they get a nice league. I did the same with Immortal, i wont support such greediness any further.
I hoped they wouldn’t milk the cow again but they did so i quit.

And while yes its not that bad of a game in certain areas, its an unfinished game in many aspects. Endgame and many things they finally added aswell.
Instead of adding more for the player and the money theyve paid they put things behind a new paywall (DLC). Its a dead horse in my eyes and a shame, since D4 has enough to be way better. Blizzard knows that selling enough DLC and cosmetics will still be worth treating the game like this. This is the only reason they do the bare minimum, they are smart in that regard and evil IMO.

This game misses depth in the longterm. Iam afraid that won’t change since it requires way more work and efford which they probably won’t give.
The title will keep selling and DLC aswell so why work way harder for it?

As well as LE… just to make one example of another newly upcoming game that hits the market and deemed to be unfinished  .

I have no other way to say this: They are milking idiots that allow them to milk them. People always have the choice to not participate by not eating the shit they get served.

Right now it does. I still hope Microsoft aquireing Blizzard gets one person in place with half a brain who asks the devs and higher ups what they thought would happen when they released the game in this shit state.

I have a muffin top that’s super easy to get started.

With unfinished i mean with basic systems and QL functions.
Yes LE also does have area’s which need growth but in the most area’s in my opinion they did finished the core things. Crafting seems solid to me, endgame is included, many item systems like Legendary Potential, exalted, weavers will and the list goes on regarding to item depth IMO. Iam praising LE a lot on finally bringing new systems into the genre and that before the release. Big respect.

D4 wished they came up with this kind of stuff. they basicly building the same stuff in slightly a different way mostly IMO.

Nani? D4 had so little game systems and QoL options to offer I’m pretty sure they were all there… not in a good way but they were there for sure ^^. I’m positive I was able to count all three of them ^^.

So if you died it means you have failed even your own roleplay?
