I’ve only ever said a multi-class leaderboard can never be balanced, and nor should we expect it to be. Nor even want it to be.
And that this is just a bug and no big deal.

Already proven wrong.
12 specs hit around 400 waves
3 of them are exceptions
nothing prevents the 3 from being adjusted properly so that they hit 400 waves like all the others
the only thing that supposedly prevents this is the crying of players who don’t want to have the same level as others
So you hope for every single build (there are dozens of builds per mastery btw) to cap out at wave 400 plus or minus a number of waves that YOU deem should be quite small.
What a pointless leaderboard that would be. Everyone capped at 400. Yay that was worth participating in.
I guess you will be calling for nerfs forever while one or other build is further ahead than another by some number of waves that exceed some range that YOU deem acceptable.
Number is just a representation of potential, it doesn’t matter if it’s 400 or 500, as long as they all have similar performance.
There is literally no logical reason for 14 specs to perform between 400 and 500 waves
and distinctly a single spec hit 2000 wave
There is no explanation or purpose for this, anyone who advocate for this is delusional
It is clear to me that @Athamos has a strong point. When the majority caps at around 400 waves, how could there be classes hitting 2000 waves?! In my opinion there shouldnt be a general leaderboard if there is big imbalances between classes. Then make the leaderboards class specific only. It wouldn’t make sense at all. And like the EHG and some others mentioned before, EHG aims to make it so that everyone should get to atleast 300 waves and then shortly cap out after that.
Theres no problem about ladders thou…
You can have a specific only and you can have overall. Choices are always better than non-choices.
If EHG fix locks, necros and falconers game will be on point.
Well, ofcourse it is possible. But why compare apples with oranges? It doesn’t say anything. A 2000 wave warlock isnt 6.5x as good as a 300 wave mage. It just means the warlock is imbalanced af.
Yes, thats why i’m asking for warlocks to be adjusted. What am i missing?
You realy make me want to push arena again with a paladin or Shaman just to proofe you wrong. I won’t do it though so you have to take my word for it when I say: “Other masteries can push more then 400 waves easiely.” I just can’t be arsed to waste so much time to get there.
warlock hides in corner, spams chaos bolt for his dear life, enemies run at him like swarming rats through his fissure and die, lock prays to rng jesus he never runs out or mana
The point i am making is the same as in my video, the AI like many things lack mechanical complexity. All it wouls take to fix warlock, is for enemies not to be brain dead charge the lock in the corner.
All warlock needs to do is: place stationary infernal shade, cast cathonic fissuew, chaos bolt, hold chaos bolt like your entire life depends on it, for if rift goes down for 1ms your dead to swarm
Problem is not about melee vs ranged nor AI mechanic.
Sorcerers are ranged but they are at 270 wave.
Marskman are ranged but they are at 411 wave.
The problem about warlock is about RAW numbers.
No one has advocated. It’s a bug. We all want it fixed.
Except you; you want a class nerf.
The fact that this is due to a known bug. Well 2 bugs, but whatever.
A few weeks ago, Marksmen were able to generate 50k ward stupidly easy just by firing their bow, and they would be top of the boards right now with you calling for a MM nerf.
Guess what… It was fixed.
You are dancing around semantics behaving like bug/nerf/adjust are different, when they all have the same effect, change X to Y.
Regardless of which word you choose;
If the change in question makes warlocks going from 2000 waves to 400 waves like all the rest.
Doens’t matter if it is a bug, nerf or adjustment, if that happens thats fine for me.
Then stop calling for a nerf with sensationalist titles like that of this thread.
Are you seriously telling us now that you KNOW this is just a bug and have been calling for a nerf all the time regardless?
It absolutely DOES matter.
I doesn’t matter, premise is change X to Y, doens’t matter how do you call that.
Some devs may call it a fix, some may call it a nerf, some may call it adjustment regardless how you call that, X will change to Y.
Not to mention the detail that absolutely no one has proven that this is all just a bug.
If the bug is fixed and warlocks continue hitting 1000 waves while other specs are at the base of 400, new adjustments will have to be made, whatever you call them. Be it a bug or not.
healing hands needs a nerf u can legit take any bosses hit with it cause the ward generation
Um, I have no idea what that has to do with anything. Not testing a mechanic that is notorious for having broken/buggy interactions, just seems like not actually doing the job they were expected to do. Especially when it is something that is being deployed without otherwise being tested, at all.
i had this thought like 15 times reading his posts
I have no interest in Arena! There are a couple of builds from different classes which can do 500+ corruption easily. So from that standpoint, there are more viable builds than warlock and falconer.
If they now adjust/change skills from a character I have already invested so much time and in game gold (to the point I have not enough to buy stash tabs), I will probably just stop playing and won’t play next cycle from the start because they may change a class I have time invested in again. Would then always wait for the first big cycle patch before starting a character.
That’s why POE and d4 don’t nerf mid-season, too.
Heaven forbid a Paladin be tanky … what madness.
