Massive nerfs on ward abusers, massive nerfs on warlocks.
Massive buffs on Forge Guard and Forge strike. Maybe a 30% overall damage mitigation is not enough.

Some balance would be nice, ward is too OP.
ward is OP??? Bro, not in a million years. Iâm maxed on res, capped CA and I generate 8-9k on single target and if I donât avoid mechanicsâŚDEAD.
But, I ill concede thisâŚ300 corruption monos are just too easy with 14-17k ward generating every pack.
you realize players who donât use ward dies 10 times easier than you?
If they donât nerf ward, then buff endurance by huge margins.
I bet those deaths are not a ward issue. They are a playstyle issue. Besides, as a Spellblade, ward is my best defense mechanic. Every class has one. Nerf it and there goes the class.
Spellblade doesnât need a ward nerf. Weâre talking about the classes who get 20-90k, including RM who gets insane DR.
oh, 90k is quite a bit. 20k is quite a bit. I wish I could get 20k.
i have 2,9k hp, 5k is a lot. iâm dying 30x times faster than ward users
Buged ward interactions need to be nerfed. Falcons need to be plucked. Shaman Armor stacking needs to be nerfed (lol never thought I would call for Shaman nerfs). Palas Healing Hands need to be less bonkers. There is a lot of nerfing to do and I hope they work on class overhauls for Shaman and Spellblade because without some tiny exeptions both classes are dead in the water for average players.
Primalist, Mage and Sentinel are all around 400 waves, they seems balanced compared to each other.
Falconer and Warlocks are the discrepant ones.
Yeah but most likely the armor stacking shaman that runs arround at 85% reduction hasnât been that prominent by now ^^.
Imagine they will nerf something while they said before launch they want from players to break a game with different types of builds. They want from people to hear they have fun. I guess they will not nerf anything. Maybe rework something or add more options. But i dont think there will be some nerfs.
Thats just illogical.
If a class is breaking the game you have these options:
a) nerf respective broken class making it closer to the others (non-broken classes)
b) buff all other classes and specs to make them broken as the respective broken one, game will be a mess and everything will be harder to balance
c) do nothing because you may hurt the feeling of a player that only think his class is fun if he is 50x stronger than all other classes (your game will die soon)
They will need to add much more classes, masteries, talent trees âŚi think in future you will have at least 100 options and they will dont nerf anythingâŚit will be cool to have playground on little sandbox optionsâŚif you know what i mean. But i hope it will not be repetetive.
For me the second is most viable option. Buff other classes and their defensive mechanisms to be on par with what warlock can do. IMO right now ward is the only viable option for good defenses. Mages and warlocks scale damage and ward retention with intelligence so itâs relatively easy to get stronger. And this is on top of scaling hp, armor and dodger that works with other masteries.
Nerfing is not fun, getting stronger is. If everything is nerfed to the ground it wonât be fun for anyone. But if every mastery gets decent way to build up defenses itâll be fun for everyone. Something that might work would be to increase rolls on endurance threshold. That would allow other masteries to build up easy damage reduction while keeping high health pool.
With option 1 thereâs a big problem: who decides which class is broken?
So you mean the most viable choice is to change 14 specs to warlock level, instead of change only one spec (warlock) to make it closer to other 14 specs?
It is a LOT harder.
But let supose they do it, lets assume this premise, you expect all 15 broken specs will not be harder to balance after this decision?
This is what I call the âbackhanded nerfâ-fallacy.
If you buff all other classes to be as powerful, EHG has to rebalance their whole game to keep it a challenge people enjoy. Then, all perceived power of the previously busted classes/mechanics will be gone.
EHG donât like to break OP builds in the middle of a big patch. Many player already climbed the ladder with a bug, so I bet it wonât be fixed until 1.1
I can say, warlock definitely feels a bit broken. Little investment into minion health and youâre generating over 100k ward with bone curse + profane. Made it to wave 980 before my game lagged and I died. Will push further next weekend if its not fixed
