Same issue here. One day I was playing fine, level 92.
Then I log in the next day and everything gone - stash, CoF progression, crafting mats.
Cant even wear my gear as it requires CoF rank.
HC, have not died. However, as other pointed out, I created a char at the start of cycle - it died soon, deleted it, started this new char with the same name.
I have not played since then, as I am hoping the progress lost will be recovered. Fingers crossed. Love the game dearly, but the waiting and not hearing back from devs is quite frustrating.
I donāt get my hopes up of ever seeing those items and reputation again. They have no clue and still think its hardcore related while people seem to have the problem never playing hc.
The problem with the release, this issuesā¦ i like what the designers of this game did but i get the impression the programing team was not nearly as good. I expect a lot of āsurprisesā in the future.
I just fast travelled from The End of Time town safe zone to The Bazaar town safe zone and that shifted my character from hardcore to softcore. No death, no enemies, no dialog box just fast travelled into softcore.
I just lost a HC character in a bug, in the boss prezone of the first dungeon. When I entered the zone I had 0 HP, I could move and āattackā but I could not do any damage. Then I used the TP and logged out, tried to log in again and I see that my character was no longer HC.
Same here, im also effected by this. What I dont understand though is how difficult it can be to identify the players effected. I mean, you could simply do a db query to find HC characters that died during a set period of game play. There you go, that problem solvedā¦
Not that simple. Not everyone who died in HC is affected. We also know that it happened even without a character death. For the matter of fact, it also happened for SC characters.
It would be a good idea to try to return items to those who have already claimed them. If there is no such possibility, at least report it. I canāt play normally, as I may be missing current items when trying to return missing items.
Please give some clarification on this issue.
Thats no at all the issue though is it. There have been no reports of people that have only SC characters being effected by this.
Besides, changes to a stash, crafting inventory cant just trigger on its own. The issue is, if you happened to be playing HC and your character died. Not only was that characters stash gone but that of your SC and if you have any offline as well.
You need to have a cause for an effect. Either a player triggered something by an event happening, I.E, their character dying or devs pushed an update that effected people at random.
The effect people at random has to have a cause as well since its not just pot luck.
For those who lost their stash contents and are not playing encase it interferes with stash recovery. I have recieved this ticket reply today:
Hello! I checked with the team and while they are still looking into how they will be restoring the data, they replied - āIn summary, it is safe to play and we will not overwrite the new stash data when restoring the old.ā
I for one have never played hardcore and have this exact issue. Others on this thread have suggested deleting a character and reusing the same name or playing solo character found (both apply to me) can attribute to the issue.
It is not a hardcore specific issue, this needs to be understood.
For me specifically I restarted the game after the 1.0.1 update and found my stash empty, all my crafting materials and gold gone and my CoF reputation reset. Softcore character, no death involved.
4 days later and still nothing. My faction was completely reseā¦all my gold and all my items and stash tabs goneā¦on a level 99 toon with multiple other toons. I saved almost every legendary I picked up. Ridiculous
Yeah, I canāt quite say I had gotten that far, but being 50 hours into the game, having constantly farmed to lose all of my stuff just because I had wanted to try out a hardcore, because why not, it sucks. My entire circle of fortune being reset as well, I have no words
Mjeh same here, after my hc char died entire stash of sc accound gone same as all the craft mats. Are the stash and items etc coming back or is it just gone?
I think thatās what we all want to know, theyāve kept us posted for a while but Iām pretty sure they just left us off with a āTo be continuedā no clue when or how or what. I just do hope they get to doing so. Because I have lost all will to play because of this as I dont want to farm for the same exact items I already had
