Logged out on 29.02.2024 7pm CEST, logged back in 01.03 10am CEST and my progress is just gone. Stash gone, shards gone , CoF is back to level 1 which in return makes it so all the characters gear is unwearable. Character is in HC Character found.
As some people already described, I also am reusing the same Character name with my current character. My first character died on like the 27th or something it was named “Autsch”, when I died I deleted that character so I can reuse the name for my current character. Maybe the issue is somehow related to that? It seems to be a common thing for some people in here.
Nearly 5 hours later can we get an update on the status of item restoration? At least some indication of how long we should expect to wait before we’ll at least know it’s possible? It’s the weekend, will we be waiting until Monday? Later?
Furthermore, should players be reaching out about being affected by this? Or is the team confident that those affected can be detected programmatically?
I realize this kind of bug is sort of embarrassing and EHG is playing it close to the chest for PR reasons, but please can we get some more communication in more exact terms?
I reached out in modmail on discord, still awaiting for a reply after 7 hours. Due to time difference maybe I will get something during the night for me.
No problem, i am not one of those people who demands action within 5 minutes but it would just be nice to get more communication on this issue that has basically made the game not playable in fear of wiping data should we play.
I am affected by this. The server issues I could look past, but with having players essentially play time and collectings go to waste, and have very little to go off of is frustrating. I came to this game because I saw how the team was with it’s passion for it’s community. I get that there’s a lot of issues to attend to but you guys said you see us because you guys are the players just like us. With having no idea when to expect updates or even if we are getting our things back potentially or not I would think from a viewpoint like that you could let us know a little more. I’m not looking to be rude. I just want to enjoy the game and see it be successful but at this rate I feel some of us may go on to other games.
They still haven’t acknowledged that this has affected people that haven’t played hardcore. I lost my stash on solo character found and that is the only character I have played.
Just wanted to let the dev team know that even with the patch, I lost all of my gold, affixes, and gear in my chest when my hardcore character died at roughly 4 P.M. pacific time so the issue may not be fully resolved.
I did not even know this was happening. I do not even think I played yesterday and I definitely didn’t play until now. I just logged in on 1.0.1.2 and all my gold, materials, and stash is gone. My inventory is fine and my equipment is fine.
Did not play at all yesterday because of FF7 Rebirth. I have one offline HC character that has not died and no other characters. I just logged into steam and downloaded the patch. Upon entering Last Epoch all my stash tabs, gold, materials and faction progress are wiped.
As of the original post, it was about 7 hours ago live. At first I thought that this fix had happened after I died, but apparently it was before, and I had the issue.
No news in over 12 hours, not good leaving affected players in the dark over this problem. If it’s not possible to roll back to recover stash data just tell us.
At this point I’m guessing they’re putting together a PR strategy for how to let the players / community know their progress got wiped.
Because you either have the data in a backup or you don’t - and you either have a process in place to migrate it or you don’t. Both would have been known rather quickly.
Finally got a response from EHG_Derek over on the discord so thank you for that. Thought I’d share with the rest of you.
"Hey Kalmes, last I heard they were studying a way to solve this with minimal impact. I assume they’ll resume those efforts soon but no ETA. I’m personally optimistic though.

At least someone got a response, however it just reads as a “We don’t know how to fix it yet/if at all so will just say they are still trying to work on it”.
Doesn’t help the fact we are unable to play the game on a weekend when that is the only time some people have free to play.
Yes we could just go “screw it” and grind another character to gain lost keys or run mono’s with a higher level character to regain some gold. But until they bother to communicate on this issue better we have no clue, if data recovery is possible or not and don’t want to screw it up overwriting logs etc.
Well the problem is not only the stash gone, i could keep playing until they fix it but i cant use half of my gear since CoF progress got reseted aswell and i cant equip them (i dont have gear to replace since no stash!!) and even if i had them equiped before the bug there is a X icon on the gear and stats are not working
This has been a huge struggle for me as well. Plus with all my runes gone now and not having the items I planned to work with trying to get anything up to par with my gear is not possible.
Unfortunatly not, whether it’s because the server(s) are/were playing up again this weekend or for other reasons. This issue has not been made priority it seems.
