Yeah, I sure can. The default one was shown before DPS tab was introduced and since then it shows actual channel cost only for skills for which dps can be calculated, for all others it doesn’t show up at all. I’ll add default channel cost for such skills.
Default channel cost is now shown for skills that have no DPS calc.
Two things!
Your invite link to join your discord server in your first post is invalid.
It would be nice if we could filter the prefixes and suffixes for idols based on class. It might even be nice to be able to view all prefixes and suffixes across all idol types specific to one class.
Thanks for the report! The link to discord is fixed now.
As for the affixes, for now it just uses general logic that applies to all items which might potentially cause the confusion. By default all affixes are not filtered, but after you select an idol in planner, then affixes will be filtered automatically for that current idol and it will be easier to check what’s available for current class. However this doesn’t answer the question what idol affixes are available only for that class, I will have to figure out how to provide better UI for that case.
Hi !
The loading of the build planner is stuck at 5%.
Does anyone else have this problem ?
edit : my bad, I just needed to restart my pc.
Usually to fix this issue you can either clean up the cache or double check that hardware acceleration is enabled in browser.
Ok, noted !
thanks !
between “sealed” affix and legendary… good luck Dammitt with your next update(s) !
Thanks very much for all the hard work you’ve put into the build planner !
Sitting in the build planner, on the character screen, I see very high CPU use.
Someone in game chat had mentioned this was a known problem.
Is it still a known problem, or am I just lucky ?
I’m running on linux and have tested this with both palemoon and firefox, and both seem to use about the same CPU cycles when the build planner is active. Active means just the character screen. The CPU use goes up in either the skill tree or in the passive tree. I might be seeing about 50-60% CPU use in the character screen and 70-80% in the passive/skill trees.
Doesn’t prevent me from using it, but as I said, it may be that it’s helpful to know it’s going on.
Thanks!
If you have high CPU usage, there’s a rather high probability that hardware acceleration in your browser is turned off, so GPU resources are not used at all. You might check your browser settings.
That’s a great thought. Firefox already had it enabled, but palemoon did not.
I enabled it in palemoon and just for good measure restarted both browsers, and saw the same behavior, in both browsers. I’m curious about it though as to whether this might be a linux issue in some way, so i think i’ll try it in windows at some point.
although it is linux i am using the nvidia drivers (LE runs pretty well in linux, although the fan likes to come on).
Thanks for the suggestion. i just have to make sure and not run LE and the planner at the same time. lol.
Build planner uses webgl to render passives and skill trees, that’s why hardware acceleration is preferrable shifting all that load to GPU. I might consider to use other means of rendering in future, but as of now it is what it is. Most (if not all) people who had issues with high CPU load actually had hardware acceleration turned off. I’m not sure though whether they were using linux or not, probably not. I understand that it’s not helping, but there’s currently no workaround. I’ll look into other rendering means later down the road.
I verified that the problem is linux related. I find it really odd that the shifting to GPU is broken on firefox (palemoon i could understand). That doesn’t see like it should be an issue.
Under windows the CPU use is in single digits when the page is up, even if i’m in a skill or passive tree. You can tell that it’s running on the GPU as the lag i see in the browser under linux is gone.
I certainly wasn’t asking you to “fix” this, just wondering if you knew about the problem and what I might be able to do about it.
Looks like your answer is exactly right with respect to Windows and there’s something busted on Linux. I’ve noticed this problem on other graphics intensive web pages, so i think this is a systemic problem.
Thanks again !
edit: i verified that this is a webgl rendering issue under palemoon AND firefox.
Yo Dammitt,
I noticed now that when you load a build, the browser tab title (aka window title) no longer has the class/mastery name, it only has “Last Epoch Build Planner”. It was pretty handy to have the class/Mastery name in the title, especially when I had more than one open. lol
Hm, it should be there. Can you share a planner link where you saw this issue?
Made it today. In chrome, the tab title doesn’t have “Spellblade” anymore.
Thanks! I overoptimized something, which caused this issue It’s all good now, just reload the page.
Loading from save files should be much faster now.
OK, I know it will take time, but…
… were you able to get access to the API/files early to have an 0.8.4 version ready for the Planner?
I LOVE IT SO MUCH. psycho look in his eyes
I’m not a community tester (I doubt they even review new CT applications), so no.
