I love to see so many good things. Offline cosmetics, the merchant’s guild improvements, the minion balance changes, the dual wielding for Lich, new chapters and systems. Krafton drama aside, please keep doing what you’re doing EHG. You’re still delivering on things the community has been asking for and I am here for it.

There’s no other way for me to say it - Fucking excellent work.

But well, for the trailer itself:

New Chapter: Great! Finally we see it. Only 3 more to provide the 1.0 release state that’s supposed to be there! Onward to actually being release worthy!

Primordial Uniques: Interesting, dunno about the full list but what was shown are interesting directions.

Primordial Exalted items: I swear… if this is another ā€˜champion type’ modifier which you can only get as a rare drop from a specific mob or area and can’t be transferred over to another base in some way I’ll just put the game down then and there for that Cycle… as if Exiled Mages and Champions didn’t teach you anything at all…
If not… looking forward to it, interesting! Esecially with how powerful they seem to possibly be.

Rework: expected, gonna need to see details.

Minion balances: Much needed, gonna need to see details too.

Offline cosmetic support: Nice! Baseline achieved as it should be!

Merchant tokens: Useless, utterly and entirely useless, doing jack for the actual issues and is the most wrong implementation of an exclusive currency for the guild one can ever imagine…

Improved unique search: Finally roll-range search! Baseline for uniques achieved. Possibly.

Quick set filter: Good direction, good start for that! Definitely something to look out for going forward, kudos there for the implementation as from what I see it could turn out fantastic and at least is easing the time investment for interacting solely with a UI rather them playing the game!
First actual positive non ā€˜it should’ve existed since 1.0’ point!

Rift beasts: Dunno yet how the rewards are or how the mechanics will be exactly, so no comment there. Could be utterly fantastic or crap… we’ll see. The one upside I see is ā€˜you need to interact with the portal and it’s not thrown in your face directly’ which is a great thing! Still need more info.

Overall could be a decent update!

In response to the trailer, I would have been hyped for the lich/necromancer rework (and beastmaster I suppose, but given the state of melee druid and melee shaman Beastmaster was already the better melee mastery and this just secures that lead. Shaman rework when?)

I really wish we just got the important info up front. You could save content stuff for later, but there’s not much to think or talk about if we don’t even have an idea of what the systems stuff is. Like what is a ā€œprimordialā€ unique? All we were shown was 3 new uniques that just have a little green thing on their tooltip. They don’t look different from regular uniques to me. Is primordial just flavor for the ancient era stuff? Is it some new upgrade tier that other uniques can have? Is it just indicative of how you acquire them?

That said, that ring looks wild. I’m really curious if there’s actually a multi-set build to take advantage of this or if it’s just gonna end up being a bit more flexibility for builds that were gonna use a set anyway. Also I’m assuming this only counts once? Second ring would just be for more stats?

You mean 2 more. It’s supposed to have 12 acts, this will be act 10, 2 left to do.

Based on what they’ve done with everything else so far, I’d say no. If you have 2 of these rings and a set piece, you have the 3 set bonus, as well as +2 skills, +6 to attributes, +10% all res per set.

The reason I think that (aside from balance issues) is that I could imagine the argument being that the ring is a single named item as a part of the set. So in the same way that you can’t dual wield shattered lances to get the 2 set, you couldn’t do this either. But who knows?

Yeah, I could see the argument for that as well. Maybe Mike will get asked about it on stream and clarify it.
He already talked about that ring, but no question about this specific interaction. If he does, I’ll update you about it.

EDIT: Mike just said that the second ring won’t count for the set count, so it’s like you mentioned and it counts as a named item of the set.
He also said that the other bonuses shouldn’t work, though I’m not actually sure why they shouldn’t.

One thread is on fire, given what happened with the 1.0 launch cluster fuck, this really does not count as ā€œthe forum is on fireā€.

I’m guessing it’s not similar, because those items have 6 affixes. They have the regular 4 affixes, then they have a sealed affix (possibly a champion affix as well) and then they have that extra powerful affix.

If I had to guess, I’d say that you have a way to ā€œaugmentā€ your items by interacting with the new mechanic and it will place a random extra affix on it.

Yeah, I’m hoping there’s a way to push it in a useful direction otherwise it’ll be like the 99% pointless champion affixes.

I mean… yeah… I hope so.

But given the record of EHG by now my hopes are miniscule. They just can’t stop moving from one debacle into another without fail.
I mean… it solely needs a single Cycle of time to simply not screw up majorly, scale accordingly and ensure the quality of the release is high rather then all over the place, no matter if it’s a large or small release… just a good state.

And they just can’t get their shit together one… single… time. Let’s hope 1.3 will be a rock-solid release without any major mistakes at all, that’s currently really their only saving grace possible.

I don’t know where to ask about this, but I’m wondering if you accept player submissions for creating items and other game features. If so, where should I write?

Player created items is something they’re not doing right now. I believe they still have a backlog to go through.
However, nothing stops you from suggesting them in the Feedback and Suggestions thread. Same for game features. Or even just QoL ones.

Devs don’t interact with the forums as much, but they do read them and they do take note of player feedback, so feel free to make suggestions to your heart’s content. :slight_smile:

IMO, the cinematics in the trailer were a waste of resources. It’s not like they’re going to drive engagement, and I wonder if they will even be in the game at all (or make sense there, considering how not everyone plays a sentinel)

(Although ok, they’re so overpowered right now that most people do)

Curious to learn more details, but so far, nothing much to feel excited about. By act 10 in a 12 acts storyline, I would expect to see more resolutions to plot point than new characters.
