+1 for memory leak issue.
RTX 2070
32 GB Ram
i7 9700
Playing Marksman Explosive Trap.
I’ve this issue after completing echoes but I didn’t realize this issue while playing campaign.
More echoes = More ram usage for me
Game starts with 4gb usage but it can go like 15 gb after a while
Also, before the multiplayer update, no matter how long I played the game, I did not have such a problem, even if I played for 10 hours, there was no problem. Now playing for 2 hours without restarting is a reward for me.
Good afternoon, today I experienced very strong drops in FPS from 200 to 30! When you hover over an item or when you collect fragments. Very unpleasant! 2070, i58600k, 16 gb
I also noticed a RAM leak. After a while the game closes with an error
I’ll certainly try that out! Like I said the FPS isn’t bad, since its usually in the upper 100s in terms of fps, just has those fps drop during intense high effect combat. Just wish it didn’t drop at all xD. Appreciate the response and I hope you’re loving Last Epoch like I have been!
Terrible FPS drops here as well, I’m using an older 1080ti card plus 32g ram with graphics set to the absolute lowest. The game starts smooth but after doing ~10 monos it drops consistently until restarting. This wasn’t an issue during beta play.
This game expects you to position yourself to avoid big hits but this isn’t always possible due to FPS drops.
I really, REALLY want to invest my time in this game, but since 1.0 it’s just… impossible.
I understand the release problems. I understand having server issues (even when with services like Amazon you can adapt quickly to a high traffic), but it’s not just the server problems, now I can’t play this game without freezing my entire computer.
I’ve two displays. Usually I’ve something like a video in the second one, or just Discord to chat with my friends, and if I wanna change the video or just reply to a message, my computer frozes for like 5 or 6 secs. Hell, even if I open the game and tab out in the exact moment that the game starts opening, the PC will freeze.
It’s not a specs or graphics problem. There must be a memory leak or something, because this is not normal in any situation.
Hi all, same thing with me, r5-5600x/3060ti/16gbRam
this is a RAM leak, because passing monoliths island by island, the game does not clean the memory about past islands, all information remains until the restart of the game, playing for 1 or more hours fps drops from 140 to 30 having average graphics. wrote already to the support in the hope of fixing this terrible problem(
Unfortunately no, not in any way. they even mentioned fixing Chthonic Fissure performance. I don’t see any changes what so ever.
End of Time Base = 140-160FPS (99% GPU usage)
Monolith Echo Run = 50-70FPS (60-70 GPU usage, should be 99% as well)
so monolith echoes are still performing poorly for me
This kind of game performance is unacceptable and the silence on this issue from the devs is concerning. Can we get some acknowledgement on this? This is top thread in this forum…
I too am having the same major fps drops. It is especially unplayable when I am running monoliths in a party. High density mob/spell effect situations with a party sees my framerates drop under 30fps with major stuttering. Changing to “very low” has no impact on frame performance, it ultimately drops to sub 30 fps in high density combat.
i’ve tested VSYNC, GSYNC, HDR, ultrawide, 1080p, low graphics for 4 hours, ultra high graphics for 4 hours, older driver, turned off all screen caputre stuff (msi afterburner, geforce overlay, and more), only one monitor attached, closed all running programms, running 4 youtube videos in parallel (which does reduce my fps a bit more).
The issue is definitely within the game itself. Yes, some people are bound to have a failed system because the stars are aligning in his disfavor, but that’s just the exception.
Many people have this problem, including people with a high end gaming rig. Im just curios how some people are claiming a smooth experience, though i see the fps with streamers being utter garbage in high density monoliths.
Very low setting has minimal if any impact on improving performance. FPS drop at the same rate and its especially bad in high density mob / spell effect / party play.
If anyone here has a second monitor I’ve been experiencing exactly what people here are running into (20fps, 100% gpu util, until the game is restarted) and can reproduce it pretty reliably by playing a youtube video (or hulu, etc) on my second monitor
I am in the same boat as you guys, made a post too.
if this wont get addressed from the devs in the future that would be it for me which would be a shame since LE became one of my all time favorite games outside the FPS issues.
