Damn a really hard choice to make here

omg the delusion is real

Which delusion?
It was a fixed statement from GGG that PoE only costs a price for EA access and is also going to be a F2P game like PoE 1 is.

And while I don’t find the stash tabs a great concept for payment it’s absolutely true that for the shelf-price of Last Epoch you can permanently enjoy PoE 1 and 2 together for as much as you want as at every second weekend the price-reduction of stash tabs allows you to acquire all you’ll need without being a hoarder (like me).

So nothing which was stated was wrong… so where exactly is the delusion?

is it free to play now

Only free weekends, PoE 2 is still priced at 30$ until the EA segment is over.

Last Epoch is priced at I think 35$ (It’s 33,5€ in the store), that’s already 5 more then PoE 2 costs despite being very similar in content amount. Just that PoE 2 is vastly higher quality for graphics and mechanics. Gameplay feel is flavor and besides the point.

As a reminder… with the 30$ access you get the respective value of in-game points, so the access itself doesn’t really ‘cost’ something if you’ve wanted to get points there anyway. Or if you want to actually play properly and get your stash tabs handled.
For that every second weekend the tabs are discounted, it’s a guaranteed 2 week cycle for that to happen. So you get the basics tabs + some premium ones and you’re good to go from there onward basically forever.

so it is a payed game that is advertised as free to play game, on top of it u have to buy tabs to have advantage by being able to trade yep sound like pay to play and partially pay to win game but were cleverly camouflaged lol One mayor difference is if GGG shuts down servers u lose everything, if EHG does that everything remains on your computer

What?
No… it isn’t? It’s adverstised exactly as it is:

‘This game is Shelf-priced during EA and becomes F2P after EA’… the end.

And you’re right about the online only part, though given how the overall state of gaming goes it isn’t unlikely for GGG to provide a end-of-life plan in the next few years.
But to be entirely clear… if you play LE online you’ll also loose everything when servers shut down. You solely have access to your base game still, we don’t even know if it would make MTX available for the offline client.

Apply vs Orange.
By this “Free” logic, every F2P game beat any game with box price…

PoE2 charged double the price of cosmetic, have very expensive league pack, nickel and dime stuff like stach space and transmog, to be “free”

did I mentioned it also has lootboxes?

Also D4, has box price, paid expansion and MTX, but the game is not dying, and expecting (base on Gemini and chatgpt) 3-over 10millions new players after china launch on 12th Dec . Also WOW is subscription base model, with some mtx. still more popular than every F2P MMOs.

LE failure is that it cannot compete with established games in the live service model. The writing already on the wall in the 4-5 years the game is in EA with its slow progress.

When I list facts and you counter with a generic statement like this you are trolling. You clearly either don’t want to have a discussion or lack the comprehension too. Either way it’s on you.

I provided clear factual information if you don’t understand it, not my problem. At least say you don’t understand instead of deflecting. It’s called accountability.

This was already explained and you responded with delusion is real.

so u have to pay it now but one day in two three years will be free

Yes, that’s what he said here:

Its just funny man when someone complains about spending 30euros on the game that u have hundreds hours in but has no problem going in to a bar and drink same 30euros in ten min and pissing them later on. And even more funny would be that discussion goes in a way who said he ever goes to a bar LOL

PS people got nuts over additional 20 to 30 euros they are gonna spend yearly on this game which will bring them hundreds hours more obviously dont have smarter things to do

Yes, and they told us so and hence we accept it at that premise.

Unlike LE which told us the opposite and now expect us to pay something we weren’t expected to pay.

On one side the customer has the power of decision in his hands.
On the other side not.

Guess which one is treated better hence?

u never told something and later on changed your stance due to circumstances

Ah? Not? I think I halucinate then when I read:

That on the Kickstarter page:

This one-time payment will be all that a player will have to spend to have the complete Last Epoch experience and be on the same footing as other players.

And this in Steam:

Zero Pay-To-Win
Last Epoch will never offer gameplay advantages by being able to spend real money. We believe in creating a fair environment for all players.

Given that there was no warning period for the first, and no change of it until release and beyond which makes it something the community reasonably sees as a ‘now it’s fixated’ thing since ‘the plans didn’t change in EA, and now we move with what has been established’ from there I would argue ‘Yes they did.’

Not to speak that a paid class is indeed perceived by many many people as P2W, which they contractually obligated themselves to never have since a Steam store page is a contractually binding thing. Even the US has accepted that with precedence there.

I think they meant YOU, not EHG. Probably meant as a question as well, but capitalization and punctuation don’t seem to be something they do.

I can give u 20euros for that DLC if u like

I mean… sure, would be dumb to say no to something like that.

But I really don’t need it  I can afford myself a car, a good gaming PC and hobbies. I would say ‘I’m set’ in terms of my monetary needs.

You see… unlike someone who doesn’t value his time and makes empty gestures over the internet - you - I’m a penny-pincher because I don’t just throw my value away. If I use my money I use it for something which is worth it for me. Like a good game which holds the promises it gives. Or spending time with the people I know and like. Or one of my costly hobbies outside of gaming.

and on the other hand u are throwing away more valuable thing and that is time by complaining about something that is not gonna change

I mean… I’m fairly regularly writing in this Forum, and I also fairly regularly state ‘I do enjoy argumenting about things’. So… I dunno what you’re on about. This is literally entertainment for me to do, and absolutely free on top of that too! :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, got u, so would it be better for u if they closed studio instead of changing financial politics. For me personally it pisses me of that they are mocking with community with their lack of information, example that roadmap which is not a roadmap and making fun of everyone buy writing on bottom of it it is subjected to changes but paying 20 to 30 euro for DLC that Im gonna play with 100s of hours I have no issue with that
