Cant open chat or see global chats anymore

Hello, I am unable to open the chat window or even see the global chat anymore I have checked my settings for enabling chat and it is all been selected. It has already been two days that its been like this. It was working fine over the weekend and yesterday I wanted to ask the chat about a question regarding the game when I realized that I was unable to open the chat window as well as was not seeing any chats going on. Is there a way to fix this? I haven’t actually used chat before as I only started playing this game on Saturday so I don’t think I should have been banned or anything.

This issue was introduced by Patch 0.8.1e, and we’ll be correcting it in an update as soon as possible. News regarding this will be posted here. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

Beta 0.8.1f Patch Notes

Social Features Social Features (including account linking, chat, cosmetic pets and the ladder) are now re-enabled. Greatly optimized chat performance. We will continue to monitor this. Fixed a bug causing a “Your account is in use on another device” notification to be displayed at incorrect times. Known Issues Chat messages are sometimes displayed twice. We believe this can be resolved without another game update.
