[Beta 0.7.0C] Moltenskin Sorcerer build guide UPDATE. "Elementalist" here!

I wish this guide could be useful for adjusting game balance even for just a bit.

Game version

0.7.0d… Nothing change in this build.
0.7.0c… Ward generate are adjusted.“Elementalist” here.
0.7.0b? “Moltenskin” here.

Updated this guild for 0.7.0C
I made old school caster, “Elementalist” newly.

I tried using “new ward generate system” of Teleport skill.
Not OP, like before.
Elementalist build guide (beta 0.7.0C)

Powerful & speedy casting is exciting!
Need “potion control” sometimes before you use teleport skill for retaining ward.
Generated ward is lesser compared with before game version.
“Exciting cast” often cause to forgetting “ward retaining”

Important Unique gear

・you lose 20% of your current health per second
・gain 15% of your missing health as ward per second
・20% increased attack speed, cast speed, and movement speed if you have used a potion in the last 4 seconds

THE INVOKER’S ring set
・20% more different elemental damage

・Refresh the duration of fireshield at the cost of 80 ward at the end of its duration.

(Option) STRONG MIND amulet
・150 % Maximum mana added as stun avoidance

・15 % increased cast speed

(Option)TOME OF ELEMENT relic
・2% Elemental damage leeched as Health


For using “Out of body” (teleport skill node)
It is necessary using potion or a bit of life leech to generate current life for OUT OF BODY.
When you use potion, Cast speed increase 20%, from Unique body armor.
When you cast Fire shield, Cold / lightning spell increase 40 % damage.
And it get 20% more damage from Invoker’s ring set!

Item Craft at Endgame

I am sorry, in fact, I am straying now :sob:
These have enough survival ability to run end-maps, but I can not see what is the best.
Please try variously conforming with gears you picked up, and playstyle that you like.

for high ward (video at top of this guide)

Because “you lose 20% of your current health per second” and “Gain 15% your missing health as Ward per second” from EXSANGUINOS body armor, high life regeneration from high leech Inhibit to generate high ward.
However, you need a bit life leech because OUT OF BODY refer to current life.
So, if you want to play high ward style, wand is better choice for high damage.
・Lightning damage / Elemental damage / Crit chance / Crit multiple (Prefix)
・Suffix…up to you.
・hybrid health leech (Prefix) (It may be T1 ~T2 is better for keeping high ward)
Or equip TOMB OF ELEMENT relic.

for hybrid (life and ward)

Using sceptre is better choice for hybrid style. Of course, This style can gain much ward too, but it is difficult to keep high ward than using wand because same reason.
・Lightning Damage and Leech (Prefix) (Sceptre only) Important for hybrid style.
・Spell damage / Elemental damage / Lightning damage / Cast speed / Crit (Prefix)
Suffix … up to you.

Other Armors

・Intelligence (Prefix) most important for ward.
・Glancing blow chance and armor / (Prefix)
・Health (added) (Suffix)
・Health (increased) (Suffix)

I do not have Unique shield " Rahyehs Light" yet, but if you already own it,
you can see TRUE POWER of this build!:blush:

Important note:
・Sorcerer passive skill “Dragon mage” and “Mirror Breath” have bugs.
If it fixed, need more point on this passive skills for high damage.

I feel It will be more exciting to use point for SPARK CHARGES.

2 STATIC ORB for high life boss

3 FIRE SHIELD for buff


Until you use skill points to “CRACKING PRECISION” and “REACTION POINT”(sorcerer passive skills), it may be difficult to comfortable fast casting.
These skill is most important on this build. So, at leveling, it is better choice to craft…
spell damage and mana cost (Prefix)
mana (Suffix)
mana regeneration (Suffix)
mana efficiency (Suffix on amulet)
onto some gears than “X damage”.

As well, at leveling, until you have enough ward, it is better choice to craft
vitality (Prefix)
void protection (Suffix)
onto armors than “potion mods”.

Active skill

ELEMENTAL NOVA … it is better to get “ARCANE PROJECTION” first.
STATIC ORB … up to you.
TELEPORT … it is better to get “UNCONTROLLED DUPLICATION” because they are useful to avoid enemy attack.
FOCUS … Get “all mana regeneration node” first.
FIRE SHIELD … you can use other skill if you do not have Unique shield or do not reach equip level. Because sometimes forgetting to re-cast this skill after the end duration.

More exciting & more fun

I do not try still, but maybe it is fun to modify elemental nova and some passive tree, keeping fast casting. Such as…
Freeze specialist that use cold / lightning element.
Shock specialist that use fire / lightning element.

Old build "Moltenskin" guide (beta 0.7)
"Moltenskin" (at level 76 )(old version)

In this build, It is important to make High Ward, so it need to craft INT with each gears, and get int passive skill node.

Also, it is important to cast spell stress free, so it need to craft mana and mana regeneration.
I chose fire spell, but it will work other elemental spell too.


Most important Unique gear

・you lose 20% of your current health per second
・gain 15% of your missing health as ward per second

My gear and stats


generating high ward(about 500) by teleporting skill and it can keep 2000 to 3000 ward. maximum reach to 5k ward.
And it is not low dps
need to mana management for comfortable

1 METEOR for farming, and high life boss

2 VOLCANIC ORB for high life boss

3 Fire Shield for … just because. maybe i will change this skill to other in future

My challenge

At level 76, armor and protection score is too low in my build. but it not threat my life by enemy attack and spell because i have enough ward.
So i truncate all protections, and I try to craft INT and Mana extreme.
After, I intend to challenge into deep Arena.

Meteor skill have enough high damage, so maybe you can try to change more usability skill rather than damaging skill, like “rapid impact” or “rapid descent”.

I’ve been using Prism Wraps over Exsanguinous to great effect. A lot less to micromanage and can focus more on elemental damage instead of potion find. Not sure if it’s better or worse since I don’t have Exsanguinous to test.

hey, where would you put your other points in case you are over level 68? what would you max next? i aim for 100 and unsure what else i should max tho

Yes, Prism Wraps is more useful for life leech than Elemental tome.

However, I wanted to check the ward generate by using new Teleport skill, so I sticked to Exsanguinous.

Of course I feel this guide is not best to generate high ward, but i wish this will be useful for cheking game balance.

As an alternative of DB,

Anyway, I think those skill will work good for this build.

※I am sorry, results of the my check, MANA ARMOR IS NOT USEFUL much for this build, so i will re-upload new passive tree on few day.
Please reset points if you used the points to mana armor.

Yeah for sure, just wanted to throw that info out there for anyone like me that doesn’t have Exsang - that Out of Body node on Teleport can look scary. Yeah, the ward generation isn’t as high as I was seeing reported before, but it’s been more than enough for me so far (I’m only level 47 though, hitting about 1500 and haven’t specc’d into Focus yet).

I’ve really like your guide, thanks for posting it, it’s helped me quite a bit!

That is the route I went. I took only the fire and +%Elemental nodes on Elemental Nova and followed @ponpoko Meteor build then adjusted passives as needed.

“CRACKING PRECISION” and “REACTION POINT” (in sorcerer passive tree) are enable to fast casting without MANA shortage, when you cast lightning spell.
So, I think fast casting style is difficult for pure fire spellist for now.

Of course i will try it at an early date, but other player may have more good idea for using fire skill.

How about ur craft , im seeing that u craft mainly on intel and dont base ur damage on " increased lightning Damage " , i know that using intel give a way more Ward retention but the damage from " increased lightning Damage " aren’t more important than the one coming from intel ?

Spell damage and (elemental) damage are useful for offence if you have enough crit chance.

About Armours
Intelligence, and rerated health mods are useful for generating ward.

Well about wand suffixes i dont think there is some " necessary" ones…


Mana --> gameplay confort
Elemental protection --> still less damage taken , mean more Ward saving
shock chance --> more confort gameplay aswell , more chance to stun , ennemies more vulnerable

Void / necrotic protection --> i think they can be worse to take , as necrotic and void mob hit like truck , it can relieve a lot

For now, It seem that not much useful at high level that gaining some protections if we have enough ward. (in 0.7.0c) Maybe, ward generate system are re-adjusted soon.

In fact, I added those affixs on items until I have enough ward for map run.
As well, until I used some points to “CRACKING PRECISION” and “REACTION POINT” for comfortable cast.

But dont u think necrotic should be take even in late stage ?

Actually lvl 78, 1029 life , got arround 2k7 ward and still get OS by those necrotic mobs in arena ( the one that throw lot of green buble following you ) at stage < 100 , i for sure suppose that im not playing it perfect as i just switch to this build yesterday but still

No “Glancing Blow”, no armour or protections, and no block. You’re wondering why you’re dying? You have literally no defence.

Hi, I also seek how to better this build.
Did you craft Potion’s mod onto gears? If so, I am very sorry.

I noticed today,
Sceptre’s “Lightning damage and Lightning damage as leech health” (Prefix) are great useful.
Total “% increased damage” is lesser than when equeip wand, but it gain a lot of leech (12% at T5).

So you can change Elemental Tome relic to other rare item to add Void/Necro protection.
Also, you will feel that potion mods is not necessary, if you craft the affix on Sceptre.
So you can craft more protection mod instead of potion mods!

I am sorry this halfway guide, I will more study about this build on this weekend.

  1. I feel more stun avoidance will be need for comfortable play.
    Do you suffer from stun?
    If you have STRONG MIND amulet, please test it.

I reached arena , at least 100 stage when I was Lv68.
There is a great difference between you and I, about stun avoidance.

  1. Now, how do you leech as life?
    Life leech is must need for generate ward by teleport skill because “OUT OF BODY” teleport node convert your 30% Current health.
    Your relic is not Elemental tomb (2% leech), It is Soul Fire (0% leech)
    Anyway, could you test the sceptre craft? It Improve survival clearly and if you can craft it, Elemental tomb is not necessary.
