Add WASD movement preference - "only evade follows movement"

I’m really enjoying playing Primalist on WASD, with evade going in WASD direction, and leap slam going in mouse direction.

I want the same behavior on Rogue with Shift, but Shift is classified as a “short range” ability, so there is no way to get evade to follow my WASD direction but shift to follow my cursor. I can get both of them to follow WASD, or both to follow mouse, but I can’t get it to act like leap slam.

My preference is for ONLY evade/dodgeroll to follow WASD direction. EVERYTHING else I want to follow my mouse.

Seems like a fairly simple and sane mode. Pretty please?

Thanks, I upvoted appropriately…

It’s confusing to me that they added the three options they did, without adding the obvious “only evade follows movement” which is the only mode present in the couple other WASD games ive played and they feel great.

Let’s hope they get this figured out, as I find short-range travel abilities unplayable in any of the currently available WASD modes…

They either need to:

  1. add “only evade follows WASD movement”…
  2. or split these out as three settings (evade, short range, long range)

if you could remap the left mouse button to evade wasd would feel better

You can do that… use Keyboard Movement Setting “All follow cursor”… then evade and all abilties will follow your mouse cursor, then go into “change input keys” and bind evade to left mouse button.

I personally dont want that… I bind ability 4 to left mouse button… I just want Evade to be the ONLY thing that follows WASD direction, and every skill (short and long range) to follow my mouse cursor - and there is currently no way to get this behavior…

If they would just add a setting “only evade follows WASD movement”, all would be right in the world with WASD (except the left click interact stuff, which is tangentially related)

good to know thx
