300+ Echo Streak Super Tank Speed Running Shaman Avalanche Build 0.8.1c

That’s what you’re supposed to do to reroll your blessing, yes.

Thanks for the response.

I have started to use Tornado as an autocast and it is working great!

I just specced into Aspect of the Storm. I do not see an Icon for this above my tool bar like I do for Thorn Shield. Does Aspect of the Storm have any visual indication that it is active?

When should I spec out of a leveling build into this build? Any advice there would be appreciated.

So far I am following your druid leveling guide 1-75 but obviously I am shaman so I cannot follow it past level 25 lol.

You should have avalanche now i would just use that and slowly work towards whats in the build

Leveling was really easy and quick and quite fun, very autobomber like.

I do have some newbie questions about gearing and crafting:

  1. For the bases on the gear, do I want to find a white version and craft my way up with the desired mods? or pray for a RNG good drop with decent tiers of my desired mods? Is crafting a white never a desirable way considering the fracturing risk of damaging it going from no mods to attempting t5 mods?

  2. When I shatter an item with a tier 5 mod, does the crafting material become a t5 crystal or does it not matter and I should just shatter an item, regardless of tier, ideally with multiple mods of something I want? I don’t suppose you can just slap a t5 affix on immediately, but have to go the t1->2->3->4->5 route.

  3. Speaking of shattering items for crystals is there a general rule of thumb to follow when shattering an item for affix materials? I notice the runes aren’t all that common and am starting to run low on them, so would I only want to shatter items that have multiple mods of the affixes I want (and would tier matter on them or just as long as the mods are the desired ones)?

  4. When you rune of removal on an item and remove undesired mods, I assume it would make it riskier to craft on since it will gain instability on the removals first and then adding back affixes, so it would be harder to max out the tiers on the crafting. Would it be better in these cases to just hope for a better base item rare with decent stats to start with?

Crafting from white will never get you up to 4x t5s, if you’re lucky you’ll get up to a mix of t3 & t4. The easiest way to get up to 4x t5s is find an acceptable base with at least 2-3 of the affixes you want of t4-4.

When you shatter an item each tier of each affix has a chance to give you a shard. You are guaranteed to get at least 1 shard from an item but which one it is and how many you get is ultimately RNG.

That is a matter of some debate. Some will only shatter items with 4 affixes, but personally I’ll shatter any item with rare affixes that I want, but I do have wiite a few runes of shattering.

It depends. Items that drop will always have lower instability than if you crafted them, so if you find an item with only 1 bad affix and you get lucky with the rune of removal (& again, each tier of each affix rolls to be removed so higher tier affixes are more likely to be removed than lower tier affixes) you may find it easier to craft it up.

Thanks that was helpful, what about items with tier 6 affixes? If crafting only goes up to T5 on an item on the forge, I assume the item with tier 6 now becomes the base item and you would craft onto that item instead of shattering it?

Should I proritize capping resists or endurance over everything else once I start going higher in monoliths? Haven’t had too many issues yet except getting one shot by some void damage,

@boardman21 This build just rocks!

I can’t believe as a first time player how well it is going. I finished the campaign with no issues, and have been doing my first few echo’s and did an arena run.

I got really lucky. With in my first 7 runs I got one of the idols that proc Totem on hit.

I am level 61 and have almost the full baseline in place. The only piece I am missing is a little more mana regen so that Avalanche can be self cast. It is almost there.

I completed up to Wave 60 in my first arena run ever and then stopped as I felt the damage was getting a little heavy.

Next up is to keep leveling and get points for totem resistance and then I can start looking at changing my gear up since I won’t need all the ele/phy resists that is all over my gear right now.

Here is a link to my build so far in case any one sees a big mistake some where. Shaman, Level 61 (LE Beta 0.8.1e) - Last Epoch Build Planner

Hey

I have a few questions about the blesssings.

  1. Why shred fire resistance on hit? (Spirits of Fire)
  2. Whats better Spell damage leeched as health or the crit multiplier? (Black Sun)
  3. Isnt increased Cold Damage better than Mana? (Ending the Storm)

Small edit with one more question
The increased dodge rating seems kinda weak, because we have low dodge rating. Is it a misjudgment on my end or is there no stronger alternative?

Thanks for the build!

The build planner had what i had on my char. I should update it.

  1. its just what my real char had, change it up
  2. depends. If you feel tanky go crit if you feel squishy go leech
  3. yes cold damage would be better. Same reason as 1

Hey, I’ve been playing this build for a couple of days now, gotten into Monoliths and the clear speed on trash mobs is fantastic and the build is really fun to play.
However, I find myself doing really low damage against bosses… Is this something that’ll change once I get all the relevant damage scaling via idols (4x +% cold damage per totem), the avalanche scaling per totem and the highest tier shaman totem scaling per totem, or do I just have to resign myself to the fact that bosses will take a while?

I’ve also been playing the poison lich build, and while it murders bosses in seconds and clears most trash mobs quick as well, I like the way the avalanche shaman plays a lot more.

Getting more cold damage or just more damage inparticuliar will speed up boss clears, but it never gets as fast as the Acolyte

Alright, thanks.

Thanks.

Your first paragraph was very helpful, as it feels even better like that. Didn´t crunch any numbers, but seems more powerful from the compared Avalanche-Skill-DPS-Tooltip with same Gear.

Your second paragraph let´s me think about dropping “Swirling Maelstrom”…
…while “Ancestral Speed” sadly doesn´t seem to proc “Haste”, if the Totems aren´t cast by yourself, but only passively by your Idols. Too bad, would have loved an extra-speed-boost!
