Eleventh Hour Games has 11 to 50 employees.
If this doesn’t apply to this studio, I don’t know what it applies too. But you do you friend.

incorrect, they have over 90 now…
Are you genuinely comparing the PoE tech and server stacks with Lost Epoch? Everyone is a game developer nowadays.
11 to 50, keep pulling numbers out of your ass so you can feel better about yourself cause you dont wanna take your rose tinted glasses off, its unacceptable no matter the size
Didn’t they say they were around 90 people now in one of the podcasts or interviews? I may be misremembering though…
Even at 90 people its still mid sized studio at best.
linked in says 51 - 200 employee’s
And where in laws of your country is written that people can(and should) work for less than minimum wage? No thoughts appeared that this is maybe something kinda illegal to do in first place? No offence of course, different things happen and different reasons for such things can exist, but that’s not normal in the first place simply by the logic.
About plans - there is always factors that mess with any, even the most precise calculations, and (based on my own experience in IT) its almost impossible to ensure everything will go smooth like butter. Yes, they could deploy additional servers for example, but this could lead to lots of other troubles from here. Other ways like optimization of netcode can get too difficult to be able to fix all potential problems before launch, and they totally don’t want to delay launch as it will make them lose reputation much more easily than just some server issues on the start, which happens everywhere. From all big arpgs right now only POE could somehow manage to make league launches quite smooth, but they still have huge queues in the first day.
I appreciate your perspective regarding other launches.
Has this release been any less successful than any of those from big name developers such as Blizzard or Bethesda?
I would not say so, but why not learn from the failure from other companies?
One could also argue that, these are established companies with a well known brand name, and such is less impacted by a faulty launch day.
While Last Epoch is minor in comparision and have more to lose with this launch.
While comparisons exist, focusing solely on them doesn’t address the specific concerns players have raised about Last Epoch. Transparency and communication are crucial for any developer.
Ultimately, the goal is to see Last Epoch reach its full potential, and constructive feedback can play a key role in achieving that.
And if they did all that, then suddenly it wouldnt be possible for anything to break or not work as planned, right? You clearly have no idea how these things work, the complexity. And take in account that this load will only last for a few days to a week max, do you think it is wise to invest so much as a company for just that small period?
quiet large considering its one project being worked on… You have never been a dev.
60 is considered large for 4 groups, 20 a piece with a project lead, product owner, HL/LL testers etc.
there is a reason these companies also fail. its because shit happens you cant predict
Loading screens still taking forever and sometimes failing. Awaiting further updates. ETA of having a playable game?
Aww, the maturity. I feel sorry for you, really do. Grow up, get a life, play games when time is right. Remember gaming is just a supplement in your daily life. Its nothing to live for.
I’ll guess you’ll find out in some years …
what kind of messed up logic is that? “big comapanies lie and have no integrity so it’s cool when everyone else does it.” just because you say “my bad” doesn’t make it ok.
Stucked in 12,000+ queue, is this normal?
Brother I’ve been a game dev for 14 years… Stop assuming stuff you have no business assuming. Worked on everything from indie mobile companies to FIFA & Battlefield.
We had 120 people on a single floor of a 9 story building. 90 people is really not much, especially since we don’t even know if they’re counting contractors or not.
I am comparing 2 companies that provide services in a relatively comparable field of work.
Its not about the amount of workers you have but how you use them efficiently!
Keep rambling about how they are a tiny studio and justify their lack of knowledge and troubleshooting.
Still convinced they could have done a way better job asking the competitors, who failed miserably like that before, how to solve such issues with given personel!
if it makes you feel better just tell yourself they couldnt have done better! You do you!
No. This will come for every major update in the future. We do have return on experience since a long time now with other game of the gendra, there is just no excuses to not have forseen this and crash test it.
Yes it is wise and worth some money. I think a lot of people already refunded the game and will continue to do so as long as the game not work as intended.
Damn Elon help em out we wanna play.
