You’re absolutely right, unforeseen circumstances can happen, and it’s understandable.
However, how developers address those situations speaks volumes .
Clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and transparency throughout the process can significantly impact the player experience, even when faced with unexpected challenges.
So what? i didn’t buy the game because they said all those things. i bought the game because it’s fun and i can cope with losing 34 euros if it all goes wrong.
it’s not about excuses. i’m not even talking about the developers. i’m talking about me, as a customer, you “bull”.
Do you truly believe studios go around asking each other about these challenges and actually get answers? 99% of the time you can’t even match solutions because of largely differing services you implemented. Sure there are general best practices, but an external studio won’t invest time in helping you out unless you already have a relationship built.
And why would your competitors help you out with something like this… And I’m living in dreamland.
In the USA, in the military, you generally are working for less than minimum wage. Based on the fact that you get paid a very strict amount, based on your rank and time in service. The hours you work in a day or week on the other hand are unlimited and nothing says they can only put 40 hours on you. I did make the statement I was in the navy when I was working 24+ hour watches with less than minimum wage pay.
I wonder if it is possible to get a refund after 600+ played hours? I agreed to be a beta tester before the release. But after release, I don’t want to wait another 200+ hours to play the finished game. P.S. No one paid me for the beta test!
I’ve been a project manager myself, with 10+ years experience, plus currently a project lead…
“Keep rambling about how they are a tiny studio and justify their lack of knowledge and troubleshooting.” Makes no sense, did I ramble? Stress testing is a thing in a virtual container, could have smashed 200k+ users in a test and see what would break…
But ok, I believe you’re NOT a dev.
Alas, this week all should be sorted, no realse of a game has been perfect first time…
What is your point here? You are compairing Military with a Gaming Studio? Sorry but the always say that they are passioned Gamers and Stuff like this… So at this Point Money shouldnt be a part of my working mindset in my opinion.
Last epoch become Loading Epoch - EU is doomed 3 min loading time. This is slower then average guy doing a map in POE.
Fix your stuff EHG ppl aren’t happy with this.
almost all of blizzards games are good to go within just a few hours of release. and for the most part once you are in game most people can play just fine. its the login ques that are the problem with blizz.
Here this is one of the worst game releases ive ever seen. almost a day later and its still unplayable for online play. even if i do get in i cant load into the forest gardens.
Super shocked that this company never did a stress test…
Welcome in hell:)
For me (and many others) offline mode doesn’t work at all which is another insult.
If i bought the game yesterday i would refund it already, unfortunately i bought it 4 years ago…
