Your Cosmetic Feedback Could Shape What’s Next in Last Epoch

So first of great to see communication in this direction, keep it up.

  • I would say Armor for me is the highest value after that skill effects and than things like footprints and portal and stuff like this
  • Hard to say what themes to see and what not i thinks this is highly personally. For me i really like high fantasy/fantasy themes with cool medieval armors
  • I avoid items that doesnt represent the price

I would like to say that i think the visuals really need to step up as an example the last season with the supporter packs the 60€ was decent but not good enough for 60€, the 10€ doesnt have stuff that i value (like i said in the feedback above i value armor and skill effects), the 30€ is simple not my theme(and also the armor doesnt look good ingame too much brown) and the 40€ is again not my theme and i think the 40€ pack is just not the right package. Hope this helps

I am someone who loves spending on things I Enjoy. I have spent over $4000 on PoE over the last 8-10 years.

  1. The number 1 cosmetic that people care about will be skill effects. We want to move fast and usually look at the mini map and not our characters but we will ALWAYS see the skill we are using. If a skill looks boring, why would I want to use it for hundreds of hours?

  2. Armor sets needs to have a complete theme for each slot. I dont want to buy a back attachment and have zero armor that fits or or vice versa.

  3. People love themes in general. If you make a primordial armour set, try to get skills that can match. If you make an oceanic armour set, get skill effects that go along with it. You will see a large uptick in sales when someone sees they can live out their character fantasies.

Hello,

To be honest, I find your cosmetics visually unappealing and absolutely not worth paying for. When you choose to charge for purely cosmetic items — especially at high prices — they should bring real appeal and a significant added value to the game. That’s clearly not the case here.

Considering that the game’s graphics are largely below those of the competition, players are far more likely to spend their money on cosmetics in games with superior visuals.

Before thinking about cosmetics, you should first bring the game to a stage that truly deserves to be called 1.0 — with the full campaign, all skills implemented, and, above all, without the major bugs and lack of balance that currently ruin the experience.

As far as I’m concerned, there’s no way I’ll pay again for an expansion on such an unbalanced and unstable game. And since I don’t play games for which I don’t own all the expansions, there’s no point mentioning cosmetics — I probably won’t be playing much longer anyway.

It may seem harsh, but it’s the reality.

Putting on a unique item and having it look just like an item from a lesser rarity set sucks, I’d like it if uniques and set items had their own appearances, not just the weapons

“Which items do you feel offer the best value or appeal, and why?”
Supporter packs — I think they offer the best value since they’re the only ones that currently have a good variety and well-designed skins.

“Are there specific themes, styles, or item types you’d like to see more of? Less of?”
I’d definitely like to see more Void-themed skins, since that’s an essential part of the game and its story.

“Are there any items you’ve avoided purchasing, and what influenced that decision?”
In general, I’ve avoided shop skins because I don’t find them very appealing, and also skill skins, since they’re only rarely available.

Additional feedback:
I’d love to see more variety in skins overall, and more frequent skin releases in shorter intervals. Thematic skins like “Void”, “Poison”, or “Lightning” would be great additions that fit the game’s Characters different builds. It would also be amazing to have matching skill skins that deliver a stronger visual impact than the current ones. In general, I’d like to see more creativity and attention to detail in future skin designs.

I just think there should more of everything?

Skill MTX should be a bit of a priority as most people have said.

But also, I think you guys know how to think outside the box. I don’t want to just point to a competitor and tell you to copy them, but MTX with interactions outside of combat could be fun, like something with crafting like projecting the total tiers of affixes above your character for all to see once you have used up all the items FP.

Just have fun and make a variety of stuff because everyone has different tastes.

I’d like to see more realistic weapon and armor sets. Everything on MTX right now looks like it belongs in world of warcraft. The shoulder armor pieces especially look clunky and incredibly large. The swords are also comically thick, and look more like slabs than swords.

Need a lot of variety for MTX, and need to have much more available to sell for each slot. If there’s only one shield skin (just an example. I don’t recall the exact number of skins available), and I don’t like it, I’m not buying it, and that means I’m probably not buying other gear to go along with it.

DISCLAIMER: Grain of salt required upon digestion, there plenty of exceptions to everything I’m saying below.

I’m a low-key, grittier basics kinda guy when it comes to what my character is wearing. I’m been waiting for transmogs just so I can be using most of the base line models of much of the armor stuff. I think all of the classes have at least 3 or 4 good baseline models that’d I’d prefer to use above almost all of the cosmetic purchases.

I’m not fond of the big flashy over-the-top renditions of things in main armor pieces especially Body Armor and to a certain extent helms and boots.

I don’t mind flashier stuff for peripherals, like weapons, catalysts and shields, though there’s a line that can push these too far. For instance, the fire spear/glaive (can’t remember the name) looks much too silly for my tastes, but the fire based shield that is new looks great.

I like a lot of the pets and most all of the skill/movement cosmetics. As well as the portals and cloaks.

I’ll preface this feedback with that I am generally someone who don’t spend much on MTX. It would have to be something that really appealed to me, and I would take into account how much I have already spent on the experience vs total hours spent and what else I could get with that money.

That said, of the current MTX offered almost none of the armour items interests me. I bought the Soul Eater set and Necrotic Shroud as those had an appearance that wasn’t too over the top, and I selectively use them to override base visuals I don’t enjoy or that clash too much with what my character is wearing.
Even then, the forced special effect of the body slot piece has is annoying, and I find the horns on the helmet silly.

So in general, I avoid items that has too much going on, or has ridicilous proportions. If an armour piece looks like something a WoW character or the main character of a manga/anime would wear I have zero interest.

For styles, I’d first and foremost just want to see things be completed. There’s several one-off pieces in the shop that don’t really combine well with anything else for sale. Beyond that, basic sets themed around a class and its available core elements/weapons would be nice.

And best value would be skill effects, I’d love to unify the theme of my character and that would first and foremost be through what’s already the most visual aspect of them.

Ive bought a few supporter packs but I dont use many of the items.

  1. I primarily use evade, footstep, pet, back, and skill cosmetics. These help accentuate the type of character build im going for. I like seeing visually progression when i go thrlugh the campaign so i avoid weapon and armor mtx.

  2. Id like to see variant packs for the basic armor and weapon types that feel more like alternate versions of an abosidian dagger instead of the one mythical lagonian dagger i can put on at level 1. I also love variant portals that i can theme with a build, like a fkre portal for fire build, bloody portal for rip blood, etc.

  3. I avoid item skins that make my character look like they walked out of a mtx store. I dont buy overly glowy, complex, armors that make my character look like a demigod.

In summary i would like pets/portals/effect/skin cosmetics that let me finetune my character appearance to match the build theme im playing in grounded, realistic ways, with any dramatic accents or over the top visuals focused on skills, not armor/weapon skins.

I love playing the game and appreciate how you’ve developed Last Epoch so far!

Allow us to upgrade our supporter packs through steam.

Introduce color palette changing/editing. Then sell colors/pallettes.

Make more. More pets. More complete sets for weapons/armor.

Follow the Meta. Halfway through each season, introduce cosmetics for the most popular skills.

More sales. I would say lower prices outright but you can use sales to see if lower prices would get better results.

And most of all: Be Transformative

Minions, companions, and transformations desperately need more transformative cosmetics. Lets start with the cheapest most profitable additions you could be making. Make EVERY model available for pets, minions, companions, and Transformations.

Example: Give Skeletons a skin for: Ravens, Bears, Sabretooths, Wolves, Squirrels, Liches, Scarabs, Ice beetles…everything.

You have all the models in the game for every kind of other creature already in your system. Do the same thing for pets, more pets, and most pets. Do it again for Transformations like werebear form, tree form, lich form etc. Don’t forget enemy options. Every kind of enemy should be an option. Abomination into Giant Squirrel. Ravens into Raya Bird people. Skeletons into Seige golems. Every enemy is a model ripe for use as a reskin. Raptors into Hereots. Open your minds, there’s a gigantic pile of money just waiting to be made with assets you already have. Then make them cheaper (like $2.00 apiece for existing asset reskins) and then make bundles like ‘Pick X reskins for your for XX% off’. It could literally even be a slider or a scaling discount…

A scaling discount for the same slot would actually be absolutely genius. Like every skin you get beyond the first for the same slot gets a multiplicative 5% off. First wraith reskin? Full Price. Getting another? now it’s 95%. Getting another? 90.25%. After about 12 skins it’s a little over half off for skins for that slot.

First Transmogrification would be the first thing that would really help.
Some of the default 3D models from various items already look great, but look stupid if combined with certain other ones. Being able to even use all the base 3D models without any of the cosmetics would be a huge step forward.
This can be mixed with some of the cosmetics as well.

Secondly I think what is very important to have different cosmetics of every slot with different colorschemes. So recoloured cosmetics of already existing cosmetics would help fit together sets of different cosmetics and make them look a bit more cohesive.

Thirdly within a certain cosmetics theme I often do not like individual pieces, like the Gloves, or Helm or mabye I don’t like the Pauldrons of the body armor. So having slightly different variations of the same pieces within the same “set” would be great.

Fourth and last I want more Back Attachements that are not Wings. The Founder Backpack is one of my favorite Back Attachements together with the Cape/Spellbook one(can’t remember the name).
But generally back attachements that look a bit more realistic and are not over the top with bags, pouches etc are very appealing to me.

  1. First of all the skill cosmetics, because we all like beutyfull kill mobs in games like this. Secondary - armor and weapon cosmetics, because of fashion
  2. More thematics, like pure knight set or something about frost, this two things a thirst staff what about i’m thinking.
  3. None

Please Add Vanishing MTX so we can hide shields or other item slots!

  • What I want: skill effects, level-up celebrations, portal skins, elite enemy finisher effects. (These are what I have purchased for PoE.)
  • No particular preference for themes or styles.
  • What I’m not interested: equipment skins, wings, pets, footstep effects.

I like to buy supporter packs to get points, I choose mostly on the price point (between 30-60€) and if it has a portal or a very spectacular armor (big and shiny). I buy them so that I can spend points mostly on skill skins and portals. As for a theme, either very “red/blood” or “cosmic”.

Last Epoch’s current cosmetic direction leans heavily toward high fantasy with clean mysticism rather than grimdark or dark fantasy. Most armor and weapon designs appear polished, safe and broadly “magical” but without emotional weight. They feel like an idealized, childlike interpretation of a hero rather than the embodiment of something powerful, terrifying, or awe-inspiring. Please see my feedback:

Current Tone

  • Feels high fantasy and clean, not grimdark or emotionally charged.
  • Doesn’t evoke power, dread or consequence - more “storybook hero” than “force of nature.”

Emotional Impact

  • Each MTX should make players feel something:
    • Divine → dread or reverence
    • Evil → corruption and weight
    • Void → emptiness and despair
    • Time → decay and inevitability
  • Many MTX look polished but lack soul or mood.

Visual Grit

  • Add imperfection, asymmetry and wear.
  • Light should leak or bleed, not glow cleanly.
  • Power should look earned or cursed, not decorative.

Consistency

  • Each set should feel like a complete identity, not a one-off piece.

Art Direction

  • Shift from “magic is shiny” to “magic has cost.”
  • Make aesthetics tell a story, not just decorate the player.

While PoE leans into corruption; Last Epoch can lean into entropy and temporal decay. LE doesn’t need to copy PoE’s hellish imagery. Instead, it can make time the corrupting force. Let players feel that their power erodes the world around them, that bending fate exacts a price.

Hideout! I would spend an ungodly amount of money if I could buy decorations and stuff for my hubworld between echoes. That might need to come with some bigger changes to the social side of the game for others to find value in it, but I’d buy that stuff just for my own enjoyment.

As for the current form of cosmetics, I find often that I like the way an item looks but my character is using a different form of weapon or item that the skin doesn’t apply to. For example one handed melee weapon vs staff or what have you.

Currently I buy the most recent and highest tier supporter pack and plan to continue doing that. I tend not to buy extra armor sets and skins because I like the ones that come in the seasonal packs.

I really like getting skill cosmetics for skills I’m using.

I find myself using the base portals for monoliths because I’m accustomed to the green portal being my exit and I don’t really see my other portal very often.

Also, anything Diablo 2 themed will be an automatic purchase from me. I know you can’t really license true assets from them, but things modeled after D2 stuff I will buy every time.

Lower prices of MTX or double the points we get from buying supporter packs. Ya need add way way more MTX and they need to look appealing, just look how good POE MTX look. I bought Woven Legend pack n been using those skins from pack instead of buying any on MTX store cuz they look bad lol. Didn,t use any of my 300 MTX points for 2 seasons xd

Any changes to spell VFX would probably have the most appeal to me.
I would love to see holiday themed items in the game.
I tend to avoid particle extra effects and glows to maximize my clarity in game.
