All that is fine and dandy. But how many builds in PoE work based on the assumption that you will clear the screen before you get hit? Most of them?
PoE gameplay is mostly about this. In fact, in delve, it’s the sole requirement for a build, because at lower levels you can’t tank the smallest hit. And clearing maps isn’t any different. It’s basically a requirement if you want to do ritual/breach or any of the mechanics that spawn packs on top of you.

Also, there’s an important distinction to be made. You say that the build isn’t viable, it just uses other mechanics to abuse survivability. However, can that be done with any other skill?
If not, then it’s clearly linked to the skills, not the build itself.
If so, then why don’t we see that for every skill, underused or not? One would think it wouldn’t just be an outlier and would instead be the norm in any rogue build.
