Why is there so much "if you are gonna fail we are gonna make you pay" in this game?

It happens with crafting. and Echos. I finish 15 Echos’s at 15% for my next echo quest, I fail the next one and it goes to 4% for my echo quest. I smoke 15 echoes and get to 15%, yet when I fail I lose 10%. This is getting ridiculous. Crafting, if I fail, can’t upgrade my item. With echoes, I lose 1 echo, JUST 1 ECHO, I lose 10% on my quest progress, why? Why are you punishing us on playing your game? I get it you want us to play your game. You know there are people that play this game because they wanna play new builds right? I would love to try new builds, but it seems I can’t because there are so many if you fail once your screwed, sorry, thats just the way it is. Atleast give us a chance to retry on items, even if its a rare drop. You have made crafting the most important aspect of end game gear, yet you make us fail if we try for low odds on them(which I still think youre odds are incorrect.} I understand this is an ARPG, its a loot game. Well when you make the lowest drop rate items, garbage and not fun to use, that leaves us with crafting. Well when you have crafting tedious also it makes the game boring. Gold is used for gambling. Gambling takes fucking forever, because of how toxic it is. I am sorry but if I get a unique to drop or set item to drop, I get upset, because I know that was wasted on a good yellow item. Thats not how it should be. If you want crafting to be the end game item game, let us edit Uniques/Set Items. If you look at all the end game builds, you will notice, they require the same YELLOW items with the same affixs. It really makes the game boring. I litterly use the same 6 items between 5 different characters, because they are that good. I know its still EA, but after my GB post you guys changed it. You guys need to buff Unique and set items, or make them drop more. Right now Yellow items are pretty king of every build. If thats the case why have Uniques(which makes no sense)/set items drop less when they are trash for most classes and specs. I am confused.

Also this comes from someone who streams this game, and has there friends watching and ask why all of this shit happens. They have never played the game. They wanted to but after seeing all the shit I go through, they just say no, because they don’t want to deal with the bullshit. Which I don’t blame them. Even though I love this game.

I prefer these mechanics over… oh I died randomly and now i have to regrind the last 10h worth of exp!
Crafting is not new player friendly and rng is rng that’s a bit strange from time to time yes. But loosing some monolith progress is no big deal in my eyes.

I agree, but losing 10% on an echo that you failed on the last 2% of it is fucking ridiculous. I didn’t play smart for 1 sec of the echo, now you lose 10% of the quest echo. HA GIT GUD NEWB. is fucking stupid.

I have no problem with losing progress, but I should lose progress on what I deserve, not what the game thinks I should. Its horse shit.

If you mess up things go south yeah. At least you don’t blame the game alone for it :p. Making 10% progress in monolith takes how long? 20 mins or something if you take your time? I think that’s okay.

Yes it takes time, but 1 fail shouldn’t take your time back twice as much. Espeically when I paid for this game. There is a reason why Grim Dawn and Chirocon have done so well. Its because the don’t fuck you for trying something new. Which this game does. LIke I said. I love this game and will continue to play it, it but it wont get new players because of this nonsense.

TLDR: I want no punishments and everything to be given to me in a silver platter :rofl:

800 for Last Epoch,

hmmmm it gets old being this wrong.

In fact Last Epochs max players hasn’t even been close to GD’s least amount of players what do you have to say about that?

It really gets old being right all the time.

If you give more constructive feedback with possible solitions it will help the developers be able to listen better

I did that in my first post, Borardman21, I respect your input. You are one of the few I trust, But what I said doesn;t detract from what I said, when it comes to the masses.

LE 300 people play on average, lots of shit can fail, GD, 3000+ play, no failing on anything. I am not wrong. I want LE to be just as good if not better than GD. but right now it isn’t happening because the the LE team doesnt know what the public wants.

this game is even beating LE and its made by one dude.

My facts must be getting old.

My solutions, get rid of fractures, make upgrading materials harder to get, make uniques actually worth using, make set items worth a shit. Unless you want crafting items to be end game, if thats the case, reduces them dropping and make UNIQUES(which makes no sense) higher drop rates, also SET pieces(because they are garabage also) higher drop rates. If you want me to goto in higher details lemme know because I can.

You do know steam Doesn’t account for all players as there is a standalone? You do also realize this game is in beta? Alot of players are waiting for more features. Multiple. And/or official release to buy/play/ come back?? Your facts are comparing apples to oranges Jist lose the attitude and give feedback of shat you dislike and what you would like to see. Only way to help the devs make this game you say you love better.
