What is the point of "PLAY OFFLINE" button?

I was so aware that servers gonna fall, but why do i even have “play offline” button if i cant play offline? Why offline = server connection? isn’t its main purpose to secure PLAYABILITY that does not depend on server status?

Try the PLAY FULL OFFLINE from STEAM menu before game starts, not the other option.

That is the “fake offline” mode which stores player data locally but has some online features available, like ladders and chat. Thus it requires a server connection. There’s also the “Full Offline” mode that doesn’t require any connection and can be run no matter what.

No, offline stays offline (locally). You can’t transfer between online and offline, and vice versa.

is there really a point to play online ? Cant trade with friends without mats.

-Playing with other people (even just getting help to kill a boss or something)
-Being able to trade with MG
-Leaderboards
-Being able to use MTX

Other than that, not really.

You can give them stuff that dropped in the same session you’re both in while in a party, even without resonances.
You can both be MG and you can trade things that way.
