I could say many things I would like to be prioritized or changed… but I really don’t care about the priorities and direction. This is what I personally think:
I really hope they follow their own “vision” and go to the end with it. When a game is made with passion, it somehow leaks to the players and they will get the praise they deserve.
I really hope they are able to manage the technical aspects of the game, seems they are quite challenged with them.
Actually no, PoE is so vast they dont gain new players by shifting everything so even experienced players cant help newbies
Er these players could of already been playing PoE, the thing is they arent aRPG players, they are MMO/Blizzard gamers
I would love to see the reaction of D4 gamers if Blizzard added in 10% exp loss on death
Haha you sound pretty screwed up if a company that hasnt poisoned your towns water supply or something to be so angry at. I think the D4 world is good, even the map ingame matches the lore map almost exactly
In terms of LE’s direction I gave up caring a while ago regarding balance/ideas/timeframe, I played when MP released for a few weeks and was enough, ill play when new Masteries are ever released. LE needs a major endgame shakeup and to loosen up a bit I think as the games way too rigid. More unique class passives in the top tree
The major issue is LE is great at first, then becomes stale very quickly and becomes a struggle to keep playing as item drops arent exciting and character progression is tiny, its quite a kin to D4 except D4 lets you obliterate bosses if you can without this games ‘variable damage reduction’ and D4 has much more content and is very polished. The Paragon board is actually more complex than it seems
After playing LE for a long time and D4 for maybe 500? hours I would actually hold them comparable. D4 is a better game right now BUT the skills selection in D4 is pathetic and is really going to hold it back
We will have to agree to disagree, I guess congrats to a multi billion corp on making a “better” game (even if it lost 70%+ of its player base which equates to 7 million players in a month).
Arpgs lose the vast majority of their player numbers in the first 2 weeks of a release of a season. Games in general lose the vast majority of there players in the first 2 weeks. People point at these playerbase drops like their strange, it’s just normal.
I know, I am just more upset than normal at how D4 turned out, but ultimately I am to blame. I knew the game would be soulless, yet I was there day 0 screaming take me money.
I think the devs are doing a fine job. I’m not too concerned with which parts get polished first, I’m just excited to have a game made by people who actually play and enjoy the ARPG genre, who are willing to listen to/work with their player base!
