We need a answer before launch regarding cycle duration

We need to know before launch tomorrow how long are cycles going to last for exactly so we can make a decision where we want to play.
Thank you

Mike has said in his streams that cycles should last the normal amount of time in other games, namely 3-4 months, closer to 3, but that the first few cycles might get delayed if necessary to release the stuff they want to, since the first few cycles are meant to add core stuff to the game, like missing skills.

Theyve (mike) stated multiple times in the official stream they dont know yet.
Its the release and they first want to see were things will go and how much they need to adjust before they look into the next cycle. The rest DJsamhein explained while i was typing i see

On top of it I donā€™t feel any need to know how long cycles are at all.

It should also be noted that the first cycles wonā€™t have anything new other than a fresh start and leaderboards. Legacy will get the exact same content. So you can make a legacy character and not miss out on anything until that changes.

he does though, he cant pick anything if he doesnt know. I guess we will see him in late cycle when 1.1 gets announced

Yeah but I#m a bit allergic to that ā€œweā€ posts because I never can tell who we is and if the op dares wo include me in there.

3 months, for maximum revenue.
Seasonal game design is for investors, not players.

Yes, we are aware that you have looked into the souls of EHG employees and saw the green greed monster looking out. Every single post you make is about it.

I want to ask if everything is okay, or you need some help? It feels like your attitude isnā€™t actually caused by EHG (which have, so far, done the exact opposite of what you say for a few years now).

What?
They added a MTX shop and force you to see others in town so whales can show off.

I mean, gauging from the Tax the Rich side of the aisleā€¦ EHG is, by its very corporate nature, greedy, and out to exploit us commoners.

There are exactly 0 whales in the instanced Monolith zones I play in. If you just want to sit in town all day, and not actually play the gameā€¦ arenā€™t there text-only chat rooms, that would fit your playstyle better

Ignoring the fact that all of the major ARPGs currently do that, Mike has repeatedly said before that MP towns are solely due to performance issues. He even said that in reply to that exact question.

What you are doing is just being needlessly rude and offensive over and over again without a shred of evidence on your part other than that you feel bad about something in your life and are taking it out on the forums.

The devs are adamantly against adding an option to allow you to turn off seeing others in town.
I havenā€™t been rude to anyone, unless you find criticism towards a company(who isnt your friend, none are). rude.

If you or anyone else is envious about what other people have then thatā€™s a you problem. Iā€™m very good at completely ignoring other people and running down the tunnel from a to b without even looking at what other people have.

On top of it ARPGs are the beggist MTX grave because if you are in skill screen vomit monster kill heaven you most likely arenā€™t able to appreciate the golden glow of your newly bought golden armor.

Get a grp and donā€™t make up problems when there are non just because you belive something they way you imagine it isā€¦ pretty please.

Really? Iā€™d like to know where the devs have adamantly refused that, considering that they havenā€™t even replied to any of those threads. They havenā€™t pronounced themselves one way or another on this issue. Iā€™m sure youā€™ll be able to point me to it.

Youā€™re not criticizing a company. Saying Blizzard only cares about the money is criticizing a company,. Saying that a company that has a handful of people are greedy is criticizing those people directly. Especially when youā€™re repeatedly saying they donā€™t care about the players when theyā€™ve shown again and again the exact opposite.

Youā€™re salty about MP towns. I get it. Thereā€™s no need to make 20 posts per day where the only thing you do is attack EHG for the same thing, no matter the thread subject.

Unless Blizzard has become a sentient gestalt hive mind like the borg, then Iā€™m assuming itā€™s actually full of people who make the decisions as individuals which appear to outside people to be greed/money-centric.

But saying that might imply that those people are being greedy, which, of course, one would never say.

Thatā€™s not what I meant. I meant that Blizzard is a huge company and no one knows whoā€™s making the greedy decisions.
Whereas EHG is a small company and we know who is making the decisions. Thatā€™s the main difference.

Criticizing Walmart is impersonal, criticizing a grocery store that only has 1 employee is very personal.

It doesnā€™t matter, thereā€™s still people making decisions. Even in a country, thereā€™s still people doing things.

Thatā€™s just a difference of scale. Youā€™re still criticising people, you just canā€™t see them. Kinda like the internet.

I know no company that isnā€™t caring about money outside of maybe Disney ^^.

Itā€™s a fair point. But the fact that you canā€™t see them, and that you can with EHG, makes it more personal in this case.

Criticizing Blizzard is an abstract criticism aimed at the amorphous idea you have in your head of what/who Blizzard really is.
Criticizing EHG, especially here on these forums, is criticizing Mike and Kain and the rest of the small team they have. So itā€™s more personal and it becomes more rude.

Thatā€™s the way I see it, though I understand you might see it another way.

Of course. But there is a difference between caring about money and being greedy and money being the main priority. EHG have shown that isnā€™t the case with them repeatedly.
