From your point of view and compared to other products in the same industry this might be true. I still think grred is involved because without greed the costs would be to much to carry on. Imagine they only sold a box price game without MTX because this won’t be greedy. No different editions because that’s greedy as well… they would be out of business years ago.
As much as Blizzard showed it is in recent years. In diablo Immortal you had to buy a key with real money to be able to play a dungeon. If thats not greedy to you i dont know what is.
Yes, that was the point I was making.
Blizzard turned away from fans and only cares about money now. Rather than making a balance between players and money, they choose whatever gives them more money.
Whereas EHG obviously cares about money, they all need to eat, but they have shown that they also care about the players. If all they wanted was money they would have released ages ago, they would have implemented P2W, etc.
I still play D2R because D2, to me, was the best game ever. I also play PD2.
And, if I’m honest, when Blizz releases D5 I’ll probably try it out as well, because D1/D2 defined so much of my youth.
But whereas I used to support Blizzard because they used to do things right, now I just continue buying Diablo in the hopes that they’ll eventually get it right again.
So no, I don’t support Blizzard anymore, I just support Diablo. And no, it’s not the same thing. If someone bought the rights for Diablo and made a new game, I would buy that one. But if Blizzard releases a new (non-diablo) game I just ignore it, whereas up until D3 I bought almost everything they did.
i was joking, i know Llama plays the hell out of D2R. I was just teasing him.
yep and iam the same, i bought the game for the same reasons as you mentiond aswell and will buy D5 in the hopes of being good despite knowing it probably wont be for the long run. I wont buy any DLC’s however, i dont think they deserve that atm.
I played it for about 10 mins then got pissed off due to the lack of “modern QoL” & haven’t played it since. I’ve no idea if I’ve even got 1 character out of act 1 yet.
I am a casual player, my time is limited and i am sure i am not the only one who wants to know this answer so you know will get to make a decision on what we play…
You guys need to chill out.
Have a great evening o/
If you’re not sure if you have enough time (meaning you don’t plan on competing on the leaderboards either) then you might as well just play legacy. The content will be the same.
