Atm if you play with WASD you can´t bind a skill into mouse1 without moving interaction key into some other bind. It´s super awkward. Hope this can be fixed soon!

P.S. The new graphics are really nice!

I just tried WASD and immediately had this problem too. Was gonna make my own post, but you beat me to it.
EHG this is a deal-breaker for WASD!!! Needs to be fixed ASAP. There is no reason to not allow the player to use a skill and interact with left click. With WASD we are very limited in the buttons we have at our disposal for vital game actions. Taking away the most accessible one (left click) is a crime.
Yes I have strong feeling it´s gonna be fixed pretty fast
Hm, I agree. This was the first thing I noticed after enabling WASD…
But we gotta keep in mind they made it very clear this is an experimental feature, meaning they sure got a lot of work to do before it’s a definitive version.
/agree plx change it
after 4 hours played and tested WASD i must say… its nice. The move and use funktion from mouse 1 is nice.
You would think the first thing that comes to mind from the design team is to unassign movement from left click when WASD is chosen. How this was missed in implementation and testing is beyond me. I also have this issue, if Q is bound to left click alongside move, while you WASD, it will indefinitely cast as well. Quite literally unplayable right now.
WASD is currently in “experimental” phase … It will be improved over time. Consider WASD to be in ALPHA/BETA for the moment.
It was not “missed”…
If you’ve played LE for a while, then you know the current implementation of the left-click itself is a mess in this game… You can even set it up so it will use the assigned skill instead of moving when there’s an enemy on the mouse cursor, but it’s just beyond buggy.
So, before they can make this work properly with WASD, they have to fix how the left-click works as a whole.
Agreed, left click was always wonky, been like this since EA, and now we’re in season2 and WASD was introduced, so I would’ve figured a left click rework when WASD is enabled is a valid assumption. Apologies, not trying to throw shade at the devs or anything, just had a different set of expectations.
I was about to make my first post ever. It’s such an obvious easy fix. And it makes no sense why left click moves your character when WASD already serves that purpose.
I feel the same. There are a lot of bad QoL things like this in the game, sadly. And its obvious these kind of things are not the team’s top priority, though they should be (alongside bug fixes).
You can put a skill on LMB along with interact/move. You have to keep the interact/move bound in Keybind settings, and use the skill bar to assign a skill.
The side effect of this is that clicking will still move you around (which is super annoying), but they have said they are working on being able to separate movement out of that.
It’s a really big problem using ranged skills because it makes you walk into melee distance.
I came to the forum to post the same thing. With WASD, we can now use the left button for skills but have to map the interact to a different key which is horrible. I can’t play the game like this. I hope they fix this soon.
It’s a really simple fix;
You can press shift+skill button and it will make you attack without moving
That’s not what the issues is relating to. Please read the OP post and you’ll see the problem.
Having the movement and interaction actions on the same button is killing the game for me. I cannot properly use Sentinel’s Vengeance. I cannot exactly click on the ridiculous mobs’ hitboxes, my character is moving around them. I don’t want to spam left click to attack. I don’t want to move with left click while still being able to interact with the loots.
WASD movement is about not having movement on left click. This game is quite unpolished.
This. A simple decouple of the hotkeys for activate and move would fix this. At least if you allow left click to be used for multiple hotkeys.
I switched to WSAD and when I click change input keys the key bindings come up but I cannot exit out of them by any means then force closing the game via task manager. I also cannot change back to default point/click from wsad. It doesn’t save no matter how I change it
But constantly holding shift would be even worse. So it should be optional. I play melee, but still prefer separate keys for skill 1 and interaction, for not picking up trash loot instead of attacking.
