I’ve been suggessted a warpath reflection leveling build, but I have no idea what that is.
I don’t know who told you that, but they were wrong.
Reflection is only really feasible with the new primordial chest and once you have that you want to have purely defensive skills. Warpath would do absolutely nothing in a reflect build.
They were trolling you.
Although, now that I think about it, Pally reflect is currently the easiest build to create. You just need the reflect chest from the primal vendor, the Thornshell unique and then slap attunement everywhere you can and the rest is just defensive stuff, most of them automated.
Until they nerf the chest in 1.4, this is the most braindead build currently, being just a walking simulator.
It is incredibly boring.
I’m a minion player, boring has a different meaning to me. ![]()
I actually enjoy reflect builds and walking simulators.
Yes, a reflect build is boring but as easy as you can get for the most part. One big problem is that if something isn’t attacking you you it takes a very long time to kill it. Lizards for example.
Nah, the new reflect chest takes care of all of that. In fact, you don’t actually want to get hit anymore. So you can invest in full on defense and just evade stuff while they die.
But how does that take care of killing things like Lizards that are just running away from you? If you’re just dedicated to defenses, where is the kill power of attacking?
Admittedly I haven’t tried a reflect build since the Primodial items came on the scene.
The new chest triggers your full flat reflect twice a second on any mob facing you (and lizards running away from you are, for some reason, facing you). It even kills the woven cocoons, although for those you do have to find which side is the “front”.

The only issue I’ve had with the chest is in chapter 10 in the campaign where you have to destroy 3 thingies and one of them isn’t targetted by it, so you have to do it manually.
Awesome, I didn’t realize that.
Yeah, that would be the dragon egg clusters that have the sky chain frozen up.
No, if a mob isn’t attacking/facing you they don’t take damage. So if a lizard pack spawns & half of them are facing you the other half don’t take damage.
When was that changed 'cause it definitely wasn’t when the item was introduced.
Just for kicks I decided to try this Paladin reflect build with that Primordial armor and it is an interesting build.
The Lizards to take damage apparently even when running away if you are in range. I got a Lizard Shrine and had to keep up with the ones on one side (didn’t take long before they were dead), then went after the others. The started dying as I was approaching them, even though they were facing away from me.
Yes. Lizards and some other monsters are always considered facing you, for example everything that behaves like an unmoving, stationary tower.
It was always like that. I remember in the (very long) thread we had discussing the Thicket that I commented that once I got it, which was a couple days in or something.
