You appear to have forgotten Abom’s view on what’s viable/good or not.
Okay that looks a lot better. I don’t think I can bring myself to play spriggan though but at least it can work for people interested.
I’ll play my FG spine of mal shield throw with Sigeon and stack reflect. Probably can get 15-20 mil dmg everytime you press shield throw.
This sounds sick, have you put together a build planner with what you would be going for?
Hmmm LE tools not letting me import it atm maybe cause it just switched to legacy? If i can get it to work ill link him he’s 100 lvl. Used him for some Arena pushing too.
Okay it works now here is what I played last season.
Just got the chest, immediately extremely fun. It’s a walking simulator, except you occasionally do a few thorn shields and plant a vine for rage regen.
It’s like judgement aura, but much larger radius.
Most fun so far has been to have a good map for it, really load up on thorn shields, then switch to bear and rampage for a long time and watch everything die in my path. ![]()
This is my build so far, still pretty scuffed (only 3 reflect idols) but so far loads of fun.
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BglMMOko
BTW, this does kill everything, including cocoons, but cocoons have a front and a back, apparently, so you need to run around them until you find their “face” ![]()
EDIT: It also kills lizards as they’re running away, apparently. Maybe they face us with their tails? ![]()
So, an update:
Ran the confluence echo to raise corruption to 700c. Still walking in echoes and everything dies.
My character is currently kinda squishy, which I’m working on, but the best about this chest is that you can actually avoid getting hit and will still reflect.
Timeline bosses die under a minute at 700c, did regular Aby and killed him in under a minute.
Aiming to improve the build to see if Uby is doable. Although Spriggan Form is very limited in what it can use. Gathering Storm is useless since I found the chest, but there isn’t anything else that will be useful.
I guess I’ll return to Summon Spriggan, although he’s annoying to keep alive. Still, it used to be bad because mobs would target him instead, but with the chest that’s not an issue anymore.
Other than that, I don’t really see anything that can be useful in Spriggan Form. I could drop Bear and go into
I’ll definitely swap out Legacy. The rage regen is carried entirely by tears of the forest. Gloves could use an improvement and I’m waiting to be able to use the Seed Helmet.
Current build:

This is my paladin, up to 500c, very cool build. after I finish gearing ill probably go druid which is likely squishier but has infinite more damage.

I’ve been able to play ~5-10mins & have got to the first camp (on account of still being at a family wedding till Monday evening).
That is no excuse. You should have convinced everyone there to buy and play LE, creating a sort of impromptu clan on the spot. You’re just lazy. ![]()
Would you trust an airline to transport a tower pc intact without the cpu heatsink & 4080 breaking free?
You can play on Steam Deck. What kind of wedding did you go to that didn’t offer Steam Decks to everyone? You should get better friends. ![]()
A family one (groom’s family) & we’ve been mostly ignored by the bride & groom. If I could come home early I probably would…
Ok, so new update and a call to the think tank on how to upgrade this. It’s going to be a longish post, because I’ll break it down section by section.
First, how it’s going:
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/ApZ2X2LB
Still farming 730c, trying to get blessings with good rolls.
Echoes are piss easy. I basically stutter walk (holding down left and right click so I walk a bit between casts) for a bit to maintain 20-30 stacks and get haste from Maelstrom, place a vine for rage regen and then run for a bit and everything melts. I can tank pretty much everything, including champions, mages, nemesis and rift beasts.
Doing Lagon right now and he dies like a little b**ch. His whole health is gone before he even tries to do the sweep attack and I get teleported down before it even reaches me.
The Harbinger sometimes one shots me with the beam attack (6.5k damage), but when I stutter walk I can avoid it, so that’s not an issue. I can sometimes tank it as well, and I usually tank all other attacks as well.
Shade has killed me 3 times in a row, though part of it is because I suck at boss mechanics
. If I stutter step less and only bring stacks up in safer situations, it’s doable, but lots of attacks can’t be tanked.
For giggles I tried Uby. I got him to the first ward in about 15-20s. Then I died to something or other (I think the void “corridor” he dropped on me?). It was the first time I tried him and I don’t know the mechanics. The fact that we can evade without losing much DPS makes me think that a player that has good knowledge of the fight can kill him kinda easy.
Not a 1 minute kill, though. That’s for sure. It will probably be about 3-5 minutes, depending on how much you need to evade and how many stacks you lose doing so.
Although I can get attunement up to at least 150, so that would be a 50% damage increase, which would make it easier.
I could easily do 1k+, if I could get tankier. So what can I do to improve?
Passives:
I don’t think I can get much more tankiness from it. I’m currently way overcapped on endurance, which I intend to fix with some gear changes. Currently at 3.3k health (which can still be improved) and 1.2k threshold.
When I use evade (which I often forget) I get 15% DR from aspect of the boar.
I don’t see any other passives I can take to help me survive more.
Skills:
I don’t think I can squeeze more out of Maelstrom, Eterra’s Blessing and Spriggan form.
The other 2 skills are useless because very little interacts with Spriggan Form. I never even bother summoning the Spriggan because he keeps dying and sometimes mobs face the other way to attack him. I rarely use bear form either.
If I had 4 more points I could reach the thorn totems node, which would allow me to maintain rage with them and drop the amulet, but I don’t think that’s possible.
Blessings:
I don’t think I can change much, to be honest. I could switch the endurance blessing for armor, but I already reach armor cap anyway and this would allow me to change something in the gear. All I can get are better rolls (they’re not great yet).
Idols:
They’re mostly to give health and fix resistances. A few reflect ones, since those are hard to find. Although the total damage from reflect idols, if I had all of them with it maxed, would be about 20% increase in damage overall, so not too impactful. I’d rather use them for health/resists.
Gear:
-Helmet:
I don’t see a better option to Seed. The mana nodes do nothing, since we have none, but the threshold and the chance to get 0 damage are good. Need more LP so I can add more affixes, but they’re hard to get with 2LP+.
Amulet:
Necessary for rage regen. If I could get more Spriggan Form levels I could switch to thorn totem regen, but I don’t think that’s doable and I need all the current nodes. Needs more LP, although only health regen is useful to me in amulets.
Weapon:
I don’t think there’s a better option. The chance to cast Thorn Shield is too good to give up, since Thorn Shield itself counts as a physical skill, so we’ll get double casts often, which is a great DPS increase. I also don’t think I can get better affixes. None of them scale our damage or boosts our defenses. Even the mana cost is kinda irrelevant since vines cover all our needed regen. We don’t hit and we don’t even get on kill effects (guess they die by themselves. “Why are you hitting yourself?”
)
Chest:
Well, nothing much to say here. It’s our defining item. Need better rolls and more LP so I can slam Attunement and health. Maybe even drop the flat reflect, since that’s about 10% of our damage.
Shield:
Nothing to say about it either. Build will suck without it. Also needs more LP so I can slam more health. Maybe even drop flat reflect for block chance.
Rings:
Red rings seem like the only option here. I’ve only found one. Imprinted it in the 2 nodes I can in the weaver tree, waiting for the second one. Preferably with 1LP so I can slam attunement in them.
Belt:
Legacy of the forest does nothing for the build. All it does is let you stay idle without going back to human form. Brewmaster’s Buckle seems like the best option.
Gloves:
Trying to find a Ravenous Void I can slam attunement into. I have one with Cast Speed (which I think is preferable, since it boosts both offence and defense), but with the current stats on gear, I need the attributes to get to 180 for red rings. Currently sitting at a total of 185. Ideal would be a 2LP with both.
Boots:
Foot of the mountain does nothing for the build. It’s incompatible with Aspect of the Boar, we’re overcapped on endurance and the cost reduction is meaningless. Currently still there because of attributes and because I got a 3LP which landed 2 nice affixes.
For options I think I only have 2:
Eterra’s path gives health, movement speed and it has the QoL of casting vines for rage regen on its own. Only have 1LP at the moment, needs at least 3LP.
Best option seems to be Advent of the erased, mostly because of the 35% reduction to DoTs (we always have haste and frenzy because of Maelstrom stacks). But getting one to roll with T7 Attunement + cast speed + health seems like it will take some time.
Lastly, the relic:
Again, I don’t see many alternatives that will benefit the build. The one I have rolled with +3 Spriggan Form and T7 cast speed, which is very good. The +4 to Spriggan are definitely important. The only point I could currently drop in the tree is the bear transform, since I rarely use it anyway, but a point alone won’t make much difference at this point. Only another +4 would.
So that’s it. The build definitely can do damage. It just doesn’t have much survivability against bosses. Any thoughts on how to improve or did I reach the limit, other than just min-maxing LP and stuff?
It seems your Crit Avoidance is missing. You only have 7 points in Harmonious Wisdom (Druid), and your Spriggan doesn’t have the Crit Avoidance aura ![]()
I’d get Dodge Rating.
- Spec Spriggan into Aura of Evasion. 99 * 4 = 396 flat Dodge.
- Replace HP blessing with flat Dodge, up to +200.
- Farm for a higher LP amulet, get flat Dodge and %inc Dodge on it.
This gets boosted by Maelstrom stacks.
It should put you only around 30-40% Dodge Chance, but the real reason we do it is the conversion from Foot of the Mountain. Goal is to cover your whole HP bar in Endurance Threshold. And you can always try to get more Dodge if you want to ![]()
Blind was changed to be 100% chance to not crit iirc, which means this build which perma blinds the whole screen cant be crit in any realistic situation.
Also parry is good to add too, swapping to maybe a t5 cast speed + t7 parry results in 12% chance to not take damage, pretty good.
The chest blinds all enemies, I can’t be crit.
Spriggan can’t stay alive at high corruption. I never bother summoning him anymore. It’s only specced because there’s nothing else and I don’t like seeing the empty slot.
And without Spriggan we don’t get much total dodge to be worth it.
I think replacing the boots would be better, especially because in the hard fights I can’t just stand still. Preferably with Advent, but since that one is very hard to roll properly, Eterra’s seems to be the next best option for some QoL.
This is a good suggestion. Especially because the mana cost reduction is irrelevant.
Actually, no. Parry can’t roll on sceptres. I did go through all the affixes available and I didn’t find anything else that seemed useful, so I was finding it strange I wouldn’t have noticed that.
EDIT: it can only roll on melee weapons.
ohhh thats a shame actually lol.
Yeah, I don’t trust Blind ![]()
Since Spriggan is not used, why not Warcry? Bear’s Roar uses Warcry tree. There’s +4 Maelstrom stacks per Roar, 1s invulnerability, healing, cleanse … and Frailty that lasts for 10 s instead of 4s for some reason ![]()
