Visual cues for enemy attacks are too dull

I would have thought this thread from ages ago would have address this (Poorly Telegraphed High Damage Abilities) but apparently not.

Its kind of annoying to keep getting snuffed by ‘invisible’ enemy attacks, the contrast for some AOE attacks are so low that by the time you’ve noticed the damage circle on the ground, its too late to evade.

Don’t let me get started on the ice maps, because those are the worst. I’ve also noticed that the terrain could obstruct AOE visuals.

Even for melee attacks, there seems to be some visual lag between when you’ve been hit and when your hp actually drops. Seen some funny 1-hit KO scenes where I take a solid 2-3 steps before dying…and no its not by poison or damage over time.

That said, Visuals for damage of time (like poison) barely has any visuals… your only key hint is your hp dropping fast.

The game could use some major visual/texture optimizations.
