Upcoming Bugfixes to overperforming Builds

Hello Travelers,

We wanted to follow up regarding the survey we sent out Friday, and initial reactions. For some of the questions, there’s a fair amount of division, and others you have all been quite clear on. Two of these areas that have been quite clear are: Fixing bugs that cause skills or items to highly overperform, and being notified via public forum posts in advance when a bug fix or balance change will end up nerfing a highly overperforming build.

As it has only been a single day for us, we still need to have conversations regarding the survey results and feedback from the community, and make decisions based on them. However, in keeping with these initial results and feedback, we wanted to get out a post today. This week we are planning two major bugfixes which impact highly overperforming builds to be included with the patch (in addition to Dive Bomb’s change where Cloud Gatherer can only affect one Smoke Bomb at a time).

  • Fixed a bug where Profane Veil’s Vampiric Pool gave 40% of the consumed minion’s maximum health as ward, instead of the listed 4%
  • Fixed a bug where Runemaster’s passive node Sanguine Runestones’s threshold bonus (15% of health regen applies to ward) was scaling with points allocated

In keeping with initial feedback, we want to reiterate, these changes are being made as bugfixes, not as balance changes. These are not intended to balance builds using these passives/abilities, but to fix bugs with them which happen to affect their power. We plan to be back later this week with another post regarding the results of the survey and feedback, and would like to thank everyone for their participation. If you have not yet had a chance to submit your feedback, you can find the survey here: https://forms.gle/4fZaNNP65oH7HFdA8.

This kind of quick and concise feedback is exactly what I’m looking for in a company to support. Big W for me.

Nice. You should also fix the bug that makes base minion hp from Bone Curse not scale with levels.

You levelled a build to capitalize on a bug. A bug that has been hotly debated, with an overwhelming majority of people calling for a fix, to a development team known for being very receptive to feedback, and willing to course-correct when the feedback/response is compelling enough. In a game where nothing is set in stone to begin with. Kinda your fault.

once again, a statement is a statement, they deliberately said that the interaction was ok and it wouldn’t get fixed until next cycle…

Please fix wraithLord in coop : basically the wraith lord playing in coop sees minions to “consume” but there are none so it becomes unplayable

We have a fix for that internally. We’re currently expecting the fix to be released this week.
