Tnx for fix
Really really really dislike this action, you are basically crippling a build which people dumped 100hs of hours into getting right & farming necessary stats mid season. Guess the fun ends here, gg was a fun experience while it lasted. Guess I am swapping to PoE then.
Edit: It is high school math, how radius affects an area, the talent probably results in a pretty basic function, they implemented this peer reviewed it, tested it. And are now bricking a singular build for it. People commit to builds, and spend their time grinding for it. A fix like this should have been out of cycle, playing OP shit during seasons which is not always intented is what makes ARPGs enjoyable (for me atleast). If this is going to be the direction of the game, any implementation fuk ups can be rolled back whenever you guys feel like it. It creates distrust and makes people reluctant to sink time into builds. Should do fixes like these outside of the cycle. Like someone said before; what about+ other top builds? We have no way of knowing there are no badly implemented talents and/or abilities which could be âfixedâ next.
Sir this is a fourm for a game. This is not an airport. There is no need to announce your departure.
And who are you? Deciding what is allowed? Go white knighting somewhere else. Not everything has to fit in your narrative or should abide by your sense of necessity. Bricking stuff mid season, after the economy has been ruined by it & leaderboards settled is the dumbest stuff they could do. And does not give much trust for what is to come. So to voice that this pushes me, and others, away from the game is something the devs should hear.
Did you miss you flight? Was it delayed? Not sure why your still here.
Within the patch, could you also tone down the visuals for the ballista explosions?
My mates have been getting headaches from the exploding ballistas
Wait isnât that falconeer character in your account basically the perfect copy paste from allie streamer build? The ward bug abusing build that was overloading the servers lol

Hypocrisy has no end.
I disagree with this change because I disagree with the threshold of âhighlyâ overperforming.
In my opinion, the previous bugs had a much bigger impact on build performance, which I operationally define as how high corruption they can comfortably clear.
In my opinion, this bugfix is more appropriate for the next cycle, because it makes the build considerably less fun without reducing its effectiveness greatly as I have operationally defined it.
I am curious how the team concluded that this bugâs effect was worthy of a mid-cycle nerf.
Copy paste from who? You think if some streamer have a build, then its their own and nobody else couldâve figured it out? What a big brain you are, sir.
U could also check my other chars then and i am sure that u will find more builds that prolly some1 streamed.
Shadows on falc got nerfed, perfect, i wasnt bitching about it, the build is not dead, i am just trying to find another way around, because there are a couple.
Did i started that build because i watched your streamer? Eh, wrong. Did i got my gear and decided on it because of your streamer? Wrong again. I have 2k+ hrs here, so its enough time to know a lot about how things work here
So hypocrisy? I am rebuilding what was nerfed, using my own brain. You are crying on what u didnt create and dont even want to think how to improve.
This is a fair take as the threshold wasnât provided. The ballista change is estimated to be over performing at 400% whereas the previous was overperforming at 1000%.
Where do you think the proper threshold should be set?
yeah sure
Kekw. As you wish.
So why do you not want to find another way around ballista? Bring some changes into that build, make it a better version etc etc?
Because iâm not investing more time for a build that could be nerfed after a week with no way to me to know if there is some bugged interaction.
The nerfed build is not an issue. The issue is that i canât trust the game.
Okay. So how does ballista performs after the nerf?
There was a guy, who pushed 6k C and his build got nerfed hard, like it became completely unplayable. While ballista got to 5k and received a not so build breaking nerf. That dudeâs build just stopped working, while ballista should operate pretty normally
How much dex do u have and do u have amy more ways to increase ur area? What area ur ballista covers? Half screen? Screen? Two?
Iâm looking at performance as how high corruption the build can comfortably clear.
Also, I consider the âoverperformanceâ to be relative to other builds, rather than the intent of its current build.
Letâs take the nerfed warlock wardy thing. Its ward was 10x what was intended. But is the build, then, 10 times as powerful as other builds? (maybe it wasâŚ)
This boomie is (pi?) times bigger than intended. Does it make the build 4x as powerful as other builds? I donât think so, since the damage isnât overperforming.
I think the mid-season nerf is appropriate when a build is greatly outperforming the next-best set of builds, not when a particular build is overperforming relative to its intended function. The latter case is for cycle changes.
My thought for the threshold is probably something like a third. Iâm a layman, though, and donât know how much power is required to push players into a single build.
I think another, possibly relevant thing that separates this bug from the previous two is that itâs not readily apparent that the scaling is for radius instead of area, and that this was unintended.
For one thing, that difference isnât something a non-tech person would spot in practice. If I remember right from school, we perceive circular areas by their radii (diameters really) and not so much by the actual area. So having that diameter scale up linearly as our dex goes up makes sense.
And for anotherâŚ
The tooltip could have been wrong!
I thought blowing up the whole screen was a ton of fun, an interesting choice by the devs that would survive just one cycle, and not a bug.
I noticed it was scaling radius instead of area, but figured it was just unclear description.
A=piĂr^2. When r is increasing linearly then that value is squared it should be noticeable when compared to Area going up linearly.
In the end you can stack +area on your gear to get your full screen clear or close to it
Nah, thatâs where the obvious part comes in. Itâs not 5% difference that needs a ruler. It is, depending on your dex, easily double the radius it should be. With the 150 dex your character has, the circle should have a radius ~7.1, but it had ~18.9. Thatâs only a minor 2.6 times larger. Thatâs easy to miss.
Now, itâs absolutely possible that you were innocent or naive enough to actually believe that this is how this game is supposed to behave.
Anyone who has played this game with more than one class with area skills should recognize that this is not how this game works in other instances of increased area.
Thatâs what I assumed, yeah. Nice that you consider yourself a pro. If I copy Lord of the Rings, am I a pro writer?
