Ulatri Cliffs location start in the crash game

Hi
I started playing with a new character today after the patch.
the game crashes when you go to a location Ulatri Cliffs

Hey, Welcome to the forums.

Without knowing your system info, game logs and in-game settings, it sounds like you are probably running the game at high in-game settings?

Here are some things to do:

  1. Verify the game files if you are using Steam. Very important

  2. Make sure that you OS is patched and that you are using a recent graphics card driver - doesnt have to be the lastest but at least something from the last month or two.

  3. LE (obviously still beta) has performance related instability that is directly related to in-game graphics settings… Temporarily set your game to 1080p, 60fps framerate limited (NOT vsync) and all other settings to very low or disabled… With this exact setup, try and play the game (especially the places where you have crashed before). If the game plays fine and is stable, then this is the problem. Next, increase ONLY the resolution to whatever you want to play at and test again, if its still fine, then increase the framerate to whatever your monitor supports or LESS… Do not leave the game unlimited - it gets too unstable. PLay and monitor your GPU usage %… if its in the 80-90% all the time then drop the framerate limit to get the GPU usage into the 60-70% range - this is most stable. Now… with the game stable at the res and framerate, then you can start increasing the graphic settings… do it one at a time and test as you go (watching GPU usage too - you dont want the GPU maxing out all the time). It is recommended that for players having hassles that you do not go above Medium for any single setting…

  4. Note that this is due to the state of the game and not your hardware - even people with the latest ryzens and 30 series GPUs have to be conservative with settings… Once the devs get to dealing with the performance issues as a priority then we can all enjoy more eye candy… for now tho its better to be conservative.

  5. Also, do not use any overlays (steam/nvidia etc) while playing LE. Make sure that you temporarily disable or do not run any other applications while testing LE - there are quite a few instances of totally irrelevant software messing with LE so while you are trying to get things stable, be sure not to run anything.

  6. If none of the points above resolve it, then there is something else going on and anyone that tries to help will need your info (as linked above).
