Tit an Quest 2 has all i want and need

Tilesets are a happy medium for content that’s speed farmed to add variety (I’m thinking of old Warframe) I’d learn the general patterns and layouts and my friends and I would parkour race to the objectives. But in the campaign, a static handcrafted map is 100,000% better than procedural generation.

Edit: forgot to say why I find tilesets a happy medium. They’re handcrafted tiles that are stitched together with specific requirements to make pseudo-random layouts without being the true procedural generation. It works for smaller map sets but not something for an entire campaign like D2 Online.

I consider tilesets as procedurally generated. It’s a variant of the same thing, really.
That is what both D2 and PoE use. And, when you just want to speed run the thing, they’re as annoying as full blown procedural generation. Mostly because they shift the exit around.
To this day, I genuinely hate the first few zones of act 3 in D2 before we get to Kurast.

The thing I dislike the most about procedural generation (or tilesets) in a campaign setting is that they very often force you to backtrack. And backtracking through an empty map is something you should always avoid in a campaign (although LE also does this at times).

Yeah, I hated their implementation in D2, but Warframe was never an issue. I assume it’s because the maps in Warframe had larger tiles and fewer of them (depending on the planet).

i quite like this feature tho it will force players to want to hit 100 on all their characters. it now becomes the new minimum requirement for end game optimization BUT if you’re going for optimization, you’d likely want to hit 100 anyway. so its an overall win to me.

i like potions have on use effects, not too keen on them having permanent effects tho. cant recall how it works.

this kept me playing to lvl 40. i was doing all content at +5 so everything was level 45. for a game having no “end game”, i quite like this implementation.

the ceiling for this game is low (+5) but allows players to try many different builds and still make things work. its something i thoroughly appreciate, compared to a game where players need to push to corruption 300-500. to me it just shows that the game is imbalanced.

i say that knowing some builds in TQ2 are too OP. tho i hope the devs do nerf those builds tho.

i love the ability to twink. also i love the ability to mix and match gear as long as i have enough stat requirements. it makes the game way more interesting.
