Hello everyone, I would like to give my opinion with constructive criticism.
Currently the game is very good we have, trade, variety of builds, end-game (scarce), dungeons, rated arenas, but the problem I see is that as soon as you get to the end-game people get demotivated after throwing aberroth, for That’s why I would like to give you some options:
1: It would be adding a traveler’s book, where he proposes challenges from simple to more complicated, for example: killing treasure lizards to killing Uber boss, depending on which challenge you do, you would be rewarded with a different cosmetic.
2: Add guilds and fix friends list not working very well.
3:Fix the green sets, my proposal would be: add an npc or a wardrobe, where the sets can be left and once their bonuses are completed they are added to the character, in this way we would give these objects a good life, creating new builds and interest in them.
4: I love the monolith, but it is true that people see it as very repetitive, crafting mechanics could be added and even the missions of each island could be suppressed by boss fights prior to the final boss of each island, it would also be convenient to add Another farming area with different and fun mechanics to have more farming options.
I hope that my criticism can help you in some way, greetings
I really like the idea of receiving the the bonusses from set items once you have collected them all but I would make them extremely rare than so it gives you a really good feeling when finding them although wearing them would make them completely useless. On the other hand nobody wears them now anyway.
CoF rank 4 says hi & would need to be removed.
Main issues to fix is performance, this game shouldnt run at 10-15 fps with this graphics, movement / attacking feels clunky, often feels like there is a delay - its hard to see if its because of fps drop or simply because it is a delay.
PoE might not have had the best content additions early on, but they had some proper performance, and a snappy combat feeling and that is why they could keep growing. This patch introduced the worst performance ever in this games history, game is unplayable on steam deck in monoliths, high end machines sound like a boeing taking off, game becomes laggy after a couple of hours of playing… Before they add and any new content this game needs to be snappy, and well performing. First prio in my opinion.

Love the idea of something like dailies/bounties to add some variety. They’d need to be balanced to not be required or else they become a chore, but also not so insignificant that you’re wasting your time. A hard line to straddle.
-
Guilds add nothing to the game. There’s no raids, no guild activities (and none that make sense for an ARPG imo), and the only possible benefit (guild storage) defeats the purpose of LE removing free trade.

EHG agrees that sets need work. They’re fun to use (sometimes) just not worth the power loss. A simple option would be to just give sets a Legendary variant with LP, but that just adds them to the list of “the problem with LP”

I agree the monoliths can become very repetitive, but I’m not sure what your suggestion is offering, could you explain in more detail?
I run at a steady 45 fps (I locked it there at half my refresh rate in my optimization settings and turned off in-game vsync) w/ medium settings (some low) on my steam deck oled in handheld mode. I guarantee your computer is more powerful than the steam deck. Try tweaking settings or it’s not performance and is latency with online.
I’ve personally hated dailies in every game I’ve played so far. Almost always it’s reason enough to quit playing.
PoE doesn’t have all that either. And honestly, the guild stash is just a side benefit. The main point of a guild in a diablo-clone is a glorified chat room and ease of finding players to group with.
It also creates some affinity where you go out of your way to help clan members.
Haha, I love dailies when they’re done well. I never bothered doing bounties in D3 because they were rarely worth it aside from getting that one ring for Act 1 bounties (reduced set requirements by 1). I hate dailies that feel like a chore (do these or you’re not being optimal!) because then I end up doing the dailies and stop playing.
I did get an idea for monoliths while writing this. In Vermintide 2 the game kind of revolves around just running missions over and over for loot with an optional roguelite area. But they also have “Deeds” which randomly pick a mission, give it a modifier to make it harder but give you a bonus reward when you complete it. A similar system could work great for Monoliths. Add some optional variety with a high risk, high reward mentality. Not required for progression, but would make them more challenging and fun, imo.
I think my problem is, when the guild serves no purpose than to be a glorified chat room, I would only make one with friends I had outside of the game anyway. Before FFIXV had party finder, you had to stand outside the raid and shout for parties or join a guild and be put in a static raid group. With party finder you could just randomly pug with people or just make your own static with friends (what I did) and guilds lost their purpose of being something other than a chat room.
Edit: So without a purpose other than to chat with the same group of people and make it easier to find a party with people who you get to know, guilds don’t really “do” anything.
Edit 2: I guess my point is, instead of having EHG code a guild interface, just… Make a discord?
Hello people! I’m going to try to answer some things I’ve read regarding my post:
-
is for escipion0419: the idea of the monolith would be to add some type of mechanic that adds bonuses and you can craft the islands: like adding more enemies, more magicians, more nemesis encounters, something different from what you simply get for going to the island (this would be with the current content, more things could be added).
-
the brotherhoods: it is on a social level (as long as the list of friends that is not going very well is fixed), also to the brotherhoods you can add bonuses to encourage people to be part of a brotherhood. This goes focused on doing more activities within the game like the achievements or traveler’s book that I have suggested.
3.The daily missions, I don’t see them either, it’s a non-MMO arpg.
4.(If any admin reads my post, I would love to say that you have a gem in the rough and that the next patch will add more end-game content, another area for example of farming different from the monolith with its own unique mechanics, and also if you put Corruption ranking would be great so you can see who advances the most through the monolith corruptions.) Greetings!
Can I ask you your setting on steam deck? Cause at now for me the game still suffer moments of heavy lag, and eventually completely freeze after an hour of gameplay, or In some specific monolith
I play in True Offline, so ymmv.
Firstly, in the Steam Deck quick menu (right button with 3 dots) on the Performance Tab, turn on “per game Profile” and set the FPS limit to 45.
Secondly, In-game:
Master Quality: Medium
Display Mode: Fullscreen
Resolution: 1280×800
Vertical Sync: Off
Limit FPS: Unchecked
Shadow Quality: Low
Detail Shadows: Unchecked
Antialiasing: TAA
Grass Density: Low
Reflections Low
Volumetric Lighting: Low (only because of a few zones being REALLY bad with this any higher and turning it to ‘Very Low’ breaks the graphics. Try it where you fight Orian in the prologue. It’s hilarious)
Everything else: Medium
This gets me a steady 45 fps even with 18 minions on the screen and lots of effects. I had a few areas drop me lower but it was spikes and not constant.
Wishful thinking…
Make the game playable again from a technical point of view. I have this product that I can’t even use because 10 fps after the last patch is unplayable.
There’s this thing called minimum requirements. Do you meet them?
I’ve been playing this game for 2 years and had 0 issues up until the last patch. A jump from 60+ fps down to 10 is not what I call “optimization”.
Dailies = Chores. Chores are not fun. They are work.
Totally agree. This is not MMO. Online ARPGs, for better or worse, are much more single-player oriented.
The game needs to play proper on every single device, the current graphics is about 5-10 years old, and the game should be running 150-300 fps on an old machine, stop making excuses for the team - i love the game as much as you do, but the game is running so bad on nearly every device i’ve tried playing it on, and it shouldn’t… Its rather simple, movement feels laggy, monoliths feels laggy / restarts the game even on high end devices… Performance needs to be fixed before this game have any future, you cant keep adding more laggy / buggy content, on a laggy buggy game its rather simple.
Hello DJ John, you seem a little bothered by the issue of how it works, I’ve been playing this game for 4/5 years and it’s never failed me.
It depends on where you have the game installed and it also has a lot of influence.
Are you playing online or true offline?
While it is true, it is worth remembering that we are looking at a business model where you are expected to come back every three months (in LE’s case, 6 months) to repeat the same tasks, forever.
The frequency is different, but the spirit is the same.
