otherwise you will miss it alot of times becuz no one full clears a zone in monoliths
Donât know if itâs the case in monos, but in the campaign entering a zone with a Nemesis thereâs a small green text message in the lower left that mentions Nemesis remains are ânearbyâ, so if thatâs not in monos theyâll hopefully add it in with a patch in the not too distant future.
you get that message only if you are near to nemesis but it should show the message if the nemesis have spawned anywhere in the zone so then you would know you need to clear zone to look for it
I think it would be neat to have a popup in all maps, and also let us know how many of them spawned. I once had a map with two of them. So it would be helpful.
so right now its very stupid that there isnt indicator i have went through 20 instances without seeing nemesis becuz i have missed it probably cuz im not doing full clears of monoliths no one is
I am doing fullclears, does it mean I am no one?
yes you belong to the 0,0000001% of people who do that
Source?
You do know alot of people play games to have fun right, to take their time and explore? Not everyone has the time, or desire to no-life rush to the end game. You do you, and leave others to play as they wish without you trying to exercise some sort of superiority complex over them.
Should the game also show a popup if thereâs an exiled mage? And another if thereâs a chest?
If you want to farm nemesis, either full clear (or at least run around the map really fast) or do the old exiled mage trick where you find a favorable map and you go in and out until one spawns close.
But the additions of Lost Caches, Exiled Mages and now Nemesis are exactly the direction they want to go into, to make clearing echoes worthwhile.
EHG wants to incentive clearing echoes and they will continue to add more things like this to further incentive this.
Also if you would get a notification when entering the echo, this would lead to some strategies, where it is ideal to âfish for nemesisâ . By leaving and reentering an echo over and over again until you know there is a nemesis.
This would create a very bad meta strategy for nemesis farming.
To be fair, there are some layouts where you can already do this with mage.
Also, it remains to be seen if Nemesis are like Mages and are present in almost all echoes.
In 1.0, at least, almost every non-arena echo I went to had both a cache and a mage somewhere in the map. So I would assume the same thing for Nemesis.
Even if this werenât true, Iâm pretty sure itâs way more efficient to just rush the echoes as before and grab Nemesis that show up on the way, rather than hunt for them.
Even if you had a popup, you probably waste a lot more time trying to find him than to simply continue to play as normal and only do nemesis that show up on the way to the objective.
This is just another chase item option, like the Exiled Mage and the Lost Cache, only this one actually tells you itâs there when you get somewhat within range. The others donât even do that.
do they get good later? out of 16 items 1 was decent so far.
they offer absolute crap to me this early
i banish them when the items suck and i banished most of them. feels meh. hoping it gets juicier later.
1: I dont promote tinhat conspiracy, if i see something strange i call it out.
2: if your playing with 99ms lag, half the mechanics on screen are invisible. Borderline unplayable if you do comp.
3: deterministic loot is better, you can set its power scale once and never do ot again. Just add a lot of item basis and problem solved.
4: not sure why you think poles meant polish. Poles is clearly referring to how they use public poles to look for feedback.
5: i said fix all useless uniques, not that every unique is useless. I would say about 30% of the total uniques are useless.
The sign of tinfoilhattey is seeing strange things where there are none. Which you do quite often. Like with the FOTM tencent.
Deterministic loot means you get your gear once and have no way to improve it. So thereâs no more chase. So players will leave.
Probably because the word youâre looking for is polls, not poles. Poles is either short for polish people or a (usually) cilindrical length of wood or another material, like telephone poles.
Having niche uses (like leveling or for a niche build) is not the same as being useless.
That is not a problem of 99ms. The game is actually very playable even with 150-200ms. In fact LE has the most smooth experience out of any ARPG I played with a ping in this range.
If you have issues with mechanics not being visible that has very likely a different root cause.
LE already has loads of very very deterministic system. So much so, that it has more than any other comparable ARPG. Some random aspects however are still there and that is good, because it makes loot more exciting and unpredictable.
100% deterministic systems are too predictable and are not a objectively better way to handle loot.
The way you say it makes it sound that it would be objectively better, but itâs not. Itâs preference.
Too deterministic means less longevity for a large portion of the player base.
Then you mean polls and not poles
Uniques are not useless, there just have very specific niche use cases in a lot of cases. Or they are deliberately not super strong but have low level requirements.
Uniques are not meant to be Bis for all builds and having variety in power is totally fine.
You do, there was that video about Tencent & RNG.
No they arenât, at least, not for me. Just how bad is the internet in the US?
And how are you making the higher power items not available immediately? By making them either more expensive to make (how GW2 did it), by gating them behind harder content or by making the player grind their nuts off. Unless you just want BiS now in which case, be honest about it.
Youâre referring to a poll. Pole is a shortening of Polish & how one refers (in a non-derogatory way) to Polish people. Google pole & poll.
Even non-native English speakers are getting right.
Agree 100% on this one, actually came to the forum now to create this thread.
During the campaign, youâre not really missing out on much with them (aside from the very late parts near Majasa, when your items start upgrading into Tier 7s), but in Monoliths itâs a crime to not give us an indicator right away. (Or even make them appear in EVERY map, considering they are the Cycleâs mechanic.) Specially when you find Nemesis with eggs, so you put in your legendary for a free upgrade and end up not finding a Nemesis again for 25 more runs.
Seriously, it already feels weird enough that itâs not an âevery monolithâ mechanic considering itâs the appeal of the Cycle. (You could argue itâs the Pinnacle Boss, but does anyone really believe the whole community will bother with him? The Cycle are the Nemesis, the Boss is just extra.) At least give us a better indicator of their presence. I donât even mind looking around for them, but Iâd like to know if Iâm wasting time looking in the first place. Tell us itâs there from the get go, give us no indicator. At least I know Iâm not suffering through the whole thing for nothing.
Honestly I see some people saying âOh you want notifs if exile if chest if stuff bla bla?â. No but this is a new cycle mechanic and I never cared to full clear monos and this forces me to play in a playstyle that I do not like/want by full clearing in hopes I am finding it. Either give a notif for the nemesis if it is in your mono or do as PoE does with some leagues and put the nemesis right where you spawn in the mono. This is exactly why PoE does this with many new league mechanics. It is always where you spawn or close to it because some might be tedious to chase around like a headless chicken.
People who always full clear wont mind cause they always full clear but people like me wellâŚgive me a few more days of monos and I wont even know there is a new mechanic in the game even if it seems very fun and rewarding but I will not care for it a single bit since it alters my entire gameplay.
