The developers apparently don't care about EU players

I hate this stupid game and its developers
Not only that, I haven’t been able to connect to my EU server for 3 days, or to others either.
I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TELEPORT FROM THE CITY TO THE FIRST LOCATION WITH TELEPORT FOR 5 DAYS!
I haven’t been able to play this game for 5 days due to the simplest impossibility of making a teleport!!!
I click where I need to teleport, the loading screen appears and THE END!
I can hear the music, I can press the menu and other buttons, but I just get a loading screen and NOTHING HAPPENS!
Steam doesn’t want to refund my money because I spent 7 HOURS IN DOWNLOADS AND STILL DIDN’T PLAY!

Thank you for scamming me for 700 hryvnia!!!

I too am disappointed with the status of the servers and would love to play online with my cosmetics and chat and others. Indeed the current situation is mega frustrating and I understand that you may feel bitter. However, please remember that however cheated you may feel, the developers are also people who want us all to enjoy the fruit of their years of work. I, for one, have stopped feeling upset and decided to play offline until everything is back to normal. Since I got such functionality and paid for this wonderful game I’m not going to spoil my mood because online doesn’t work. Don’t be discouraged, a little patience, it’s just a game. I’m sure you are a cool person and I wish you a nice day :wink:

they literally have been focused on patching your region to the exclusion of almost all else recently, idk what more youre expecting here. shit takes time, and they can only fix it as fast as they can fix it.
you really only have a couple choices, and the easiest of them is to just go play something else for a week or two and come back to this after they’ve had time to fix everything and it calms down. You can try contacting support from LE, but they’re probably also swamped so it will take a while too I imagine.
That said, calling the game a scam and saying the devs dont care despite all the major work theyre currently doing specific to your region is just inaccurate. Play the game in offline mode if youre that desperate to play RIGHT NOW, since thats always an option.

It’s unfortunate to have issues on release, but indie games releasing into live servers (hell, even AAA titles from big devs releasing onto servers) have issues all the time. Its not a scam just because they ran into some problems, that theyre working hard to resolve. Coding takes time, they dont magic it into existence

Well, one issue might be that there’s only one EU server. Otherwise… indeed, in the first couple of days the EU server in particular was a mess. I did manage to play on the US East server without too many issues.

However, please keep in mind the following:

  • I was fully expecting up to one week stabilization period post launch. After all, much bigger titles have had issues.
  • They did fix the EU server, since yesterday it’s running without any issue.

this is version 1.0, this is not beta not alpha
If the developers could not prepare for online ONLY 200k, this says a lot
I paid full price for the game, this is not free POE!!!
12 homeless people made a clone of Pokemon with online in 2M and there were no problems there, noname made a shooter with online in 3M and everyone played fine, but here the studio with a beta test could not handle 200k online

Game have been running decently for many hours yesterday and a couple of hours ago on EU west.

While EHG’s servers had many troubles, people usually were able to play in between. If it didn’t work at all on multiple gateways, try verifying your files over steam, it might help.

Its absolutely fair to be disappointed or angry if something doesnt work right after your purchased a game.

now, @OP i play on EuW, stuff seems to work ok for a day except for some rubberbanding here and there. did you try to play again?

I had few issues yesterday, and when I logged in just now, it was just as quick as offline.
They ARE getting there.

Btw, they have one EU region, not one server.

I made 6 bug reports through the game
Thread in bug report form
and in those support with logs

iI’m in a chat for Russian speakers, many CIS countries are having the same problems as mine

really weird. on discord some people said the same. i got no clue about how servers work myself, but thats crap. im sorry bud.

German player here: I play offline most of the time but just checked 5 minutes ago:

  1. Zero queue time
  2. Pretty long transition time but was bearable. Might be different for the campaign.
  3. Monolith appears to be ok, transition times still pretty long, though.
  4. About 30ms lag, as in beta and some of that I attribute to WLAN and WLAN repeater.

However, unless you are settled for coop I would recommend online-offline. Works like a charm and you even have the chat. No more intermittent disconnects as in beta.

Try verifying your files via steam.
Maybe try a VPN if available.

Since you have problems while others can play reasonably well, it seems there is another cause for your issues.

Really? I thought all of the servers were having issues that they were trying to fix rather than just the EU one.

Things have been getting progressively better each day even in prime time so I’m not sure how it’s the EU server’s fault if others aren’t having the issue that you are.

At lunchtime when most players will either be at work or school. The load would be significantly heavier in prime time and at the weekend.

For one thing, I never said anything about fault or complained about the servers though? I’m unsure why exactly you thought my reply was a complaint, as nowhere in my post did I actually complain about the servers.
The past two days their major updates have been specific to the EUW servers, the servers they’ve acknowledged have the largest issues… as they SHOULD be doing. The US servers are already just fine imo, I have had very few issues the last few days and exactly zero of the long transition times that were the biggest complaint other than disconnects for the first days of live 1.0

I also never said theyre ONLY working on EUW servers, I said its been their RECENT focus ALMOST exclusively… because it has. It needs the most attention, so of course it has. They have more than 1 or 2 people on their teams, they can work on multiple servers at once while still focusing the most attention on the biggest problems.

My entire point here was that they’re already doing plenty to prove they give a shit and are actively working to improve things, so saying “devs dont care, this is a scam” is patently false. The discussion is about the EUW server specifically, so why would I be bringing up the other servers? Hope this helps clarify, since you seem confused

is this still an issue for EU players? We’ve been seeing good progress made on the servers on the US side. Seems to be working OK atm.

No worries, just wanted to clarify. There have been a LOT of people complaining in the forums lately so I honestly dont blame you for thinking I was one of them.
I’m honestly pretty happy in general at the situation: for being as messy as it has been, the devs have been great about keeping us all appraised of the situation, and the news today on the forums says theyre planning mid week updates weekly for the foreseeable future.
They also said theyre planning a more in depth breakdown for players about what exactly happened to their back end to cause problems, once the back end devs are less busy.

There are still plenty of things that can be criticized in the game, but its 1000% clear that the devs are doing their best and communicating very well with us players, which is exactly how devs should be imo. I’ve been very impressed with their level of transparency and communication.
