That wasn’t my point. If you get drops only for your class, then most of the drops are gonna be meh, cause you’re just looking for the stuff you want. But if the drops are for all classes you can have a pretty good drop for another class that will get you excited about. Maybe even go “Wow, I could maybe make a build out of this”.
If it only drops for your class, you’re not going to be creating new builds for other classes because those items will only fall when you’re playing that class.
I know that some people like that system, I’m not saying it’s bad. It’s up to personal preference. I was just stating that I prefer to have good drops for other classes as well that make me excited to try them out.
The D3 system made it super easy to gear up for one class. And you look at the others and maybe decide to try one or more, but if the playstyle doesn’t appeal to you immediately you probably will never play it. I know I never played crusader after the first time trying it because I didn’t enjoy it much.
However, in LE, Rogue is a class that doesn’t appeal to me, but I’ve already had some drops that make me want to try one out. If I hadn’t had those drops, I probably would never touch rogue at all.
