Synchronized strike doesn't generate shadows when used with low fps

My fps sometimes fall very low, and when this happens, synchronized strike doesn’t generate shadows, and performs only 1 attack, the one coming from the character itself. It happens pretty much every time my fps drop to around 5 and my screen becomes a choppy mess (I usually play with 20, no problems there). I haven’t been able to replicate it in other conditions. Shadows generated through other means (Shift, Decoy, and Smoke Bomb) seem to be working properly.
