So. I play in NA, and connected just fine earlier today, played for 2 hours without issues, changing zones etc. My friend from EU got the game, and as soon as I invited them into party neither one of us were able to change zones, it would just get stuck on “entering area” For reference I was connected to EUWest
I’d quit to try and rejoin, and I’d be stuck in loading simulator for hours. However, after I left they’d be able to quit to menu, and rejoin instantly, and no longer have issues changing zones.
Until I used a VPN to change my area to EUwest, (UK) I would just get stuck connecting for over an hour over and over trying to reconnect from character menu. I suspect there is some issue with group online play cross region just bricking our game instances and forcing me out into being stuck loading, because as soon as I flip on the vpn for the location I WAS connected to (EU WEST) It connects me instantly and I no longer have issues changing zones.
Playing with the vpn on, me connecting to eu west, we are able to change zones without issue, no connection/zone loops.
Nevermind, still having zone changing issues. Can at least get into the game though. There seems to be some kind of issue with group play preventing joining a new zone.
I also can’t get into the game unless I use a VPN, it always ends up showing “Lost Connection: You lost connection to the game server.” The second I use my VPN, game works fine.
I also cannot get past the character selection screen unless I use a vpn.
