I tried creating a second tab in addition to my “general” tab. However, the new tab just looks like a copy of the general tab. It has the same items and amount of free space. If I create a third tab it’s the same. If this isn’t broken I don’t get how this is supposed to work? Shouldn’t a new tab be empty?

What you are describing should not be happening and is likely a bug…
Does this happen after you restart the game? Do the new stash tabs still contain duplicates after restarting?
Is there any way you can post a vid or some pics to help us “see” the problem?
In the pic you can see the general tab and the “gear” tab I created. I can toggle between them but nothing changes. They look identical. I can configure the tab name and color but it’s just a copy of the general tab. I can create additional tabs and it does the same thing.
Hmmm… It looks like you have made another Category… Not a stash tab…
The top row is General and gear… those are categories…
The next row with the little + shows the actual stash tabs. - it only looks like you have the default one… no new ones.
If you have no tabs assigned to a category, then it just shows the same tab…
Does this make sense?
