Further to this, if your damage is DoT from things like Ignite or Poison, those are ailments, not spells even if a Spell caused them, and they get no benefit from Spell Leech (or indeed anything that says “spell”). Just a thought.
@Llama8 provided you with the link for it.
For future reference, go to that link and import your build to it, then share the link here.
Great, glad we could solve it.
As little extra info. This node is extremely useful to purposefully disable leech if you are playing Low Health Ward Builds as Acolyte
Ok will do. On Paladin at the moment but will link my build when I switch over.
It seems your issue was already identified, but it doesn’t hurt to link it. At the very least you can get some tips on how to improve it or things you might be doing “wrong”.
Spirit Plague seems to Leech for me now, so I’m not sure what you mean. I know spells are supposed to leech and not dots but I do seem to leech again as a poison melee Warlock. I’ll quickly relog to ensure it’s not just the initial hit of the Spirit Plague though. 1 mo.
Thanks, I’ll uplink it in a moment. It’s designed around a Nurgle Knight (melee poison) so I don’t expect it to be optimal.
That’s why I put wrong in quotes. Because the most important thing is that you’re having fun, so there really in no “wrong”. But you might get tips on how to optimize it and maybe learn a few more things that you can carry over to other characters.
Everything in LE can leech, as long as you have the right leech type for it.
Even ailments can leech. Most leech sources specific “on hit” though, so they don’t work for DoT or Ailments.
Spell Damage leeched as health will work for both hit based and DoT based damage (as long as it’s a spell), but not for ailments.
Lich Mastery Bonus and Soul Maw passive are undonditional leech, which works on Hit, DoT and Ailments and all other types of skills like spell or melee
Here is my current build. A couple of the skills may be a little off, as I lost my weapon and I had the Spine sword that pretty much gave me +5 skill points on most skills, but you’ll get the idea what I’m going for…… kind of.
I’m sure there’ll be a few errors in judgement, I’ve been placing points where I’ve been struggling, so, slow dps and I’ll start spending dps nodes, surviving and it’ll be defensive.
Enjoy, I believe the principle is there and it’s REALLY fun to play!! I just wished that I was a little faster in the movement area. But I guess I’d rather be more tanky thematically.
Edit:
I’m not sure why it states lvl 100, as I’m lvl 96
@DJSamhein @Heavy
Feel free to rip it apart by the way. I’m not of delicate constitution and it would be nice to get other peoples view on it.
I’m not a great at analizing builds, tbh. But there are other players that are pretty good at it, like @Llama8. I’m sure someone will give you some insights on it
Ok thanks.
As I say, it’s not a min/max build but, it’s VERY fun to play. Wandering spirits and Harvest for mana regen. Fissure and Spirit Plague for dps. Wandering spirits kind of fill both dps and mana though. Spam fissure for spike dps.
This is the most important part of the game. As long as you’re having fun, it’s all good. I expect some players will give you some broad options on how to improve your stats so you can have some more fun with it
Most gear slots and idol slots are empty, so something got lost in translation if you imported your character from LE.
Anyway, if a substantial portion of your damage comes from DoTs (poison, Damned, etc) you might find you leech more from Spirit Leech in the Warlock tree than you do from the spell leech in Lich. That allows you to leech from all sources of damage (Spell, hit, DoT), including double dipping on Harvest which already gives you health on hit.
Ok thanks. I’ll have a look when next I’m on.
I didn’t put idols etc in as there’s nothing of interest there, just small idols that bring my defences up. Gear is random purples with necrotic/DoT damage or poison damage affixes. I just put the named items on my sheet that offer benefits, like my Relic that gives me 5mana per Harvest use.
You don’t have to put anything there. You can import directly from the game. You just need to specify your account and your character name and the tool gets all info from LE.
You don’t have to fill everything manually. There’s a button that allows you to input your LE account and character name and that just fills in all the slots.

I have to admit, I’m not a fan of using 3rd party sites and importing my data to them. I tend to only use my computer for the game/Steam/Discord and my iPad for everything else. I’ve had a friend previously loose an account for a game he played because he used a 3rd party site. I’m not sure of all of his details but, I like to steer away from that sort of thing due to online security.
You do realize that EHG has already given this site access to your game account. Otherwise, entering the name of your account and character would not return any details.
