PoE 2 is several times bigger than LE even now PoE 2 got concurent in last 24h 35k peak players count another 10-15k from consoles while LE got 2k the console community alone is bigger than LE PC community these 2 games will collide with each other becuz are only 2 days apart of their new update and LE will lose in this if they dont delay it i personally will play LE new cycle anyway but im just gonna be the minority most casuals will play PoE 2 over LE so do they have plans to delay the cycle so they dont lose alot of players for their new cycle?
i think you give poe2 too much credit. it has super long tedious campaign and no end game. i played it and not interested in touching it again unless there are some major changes.
wdym too much credit? everything i said is literally a fact and true they had concurent like 800k players wich is several times more than LE had and even now they got 10x times higher player count you can hate all you want on PoE 2 and how it was boring to you it matters not becuz you are the minority and PoE 2 still have far more endgame than LE so you are just glazing over LE without looking at facts
I very much doubt that EHG is going to postopone the launch. At most, they will anticipate it and release 1 week earlier. It wouldnât make sense to postpone, considering everything that has gone into this release.
I find it much more likely that GGG will end up delaying the launch for 1 week. Especially because of how they have set themselves up to be âthe bad guysâ with this. Iâve read lots of people saying that GGG have done a âBlizzard moveâ and itâs never a good sign when your company starts getting compared to Blizzard practices.
@deviant.
i mean you give it too much credit to think that most of the people who played it will go back to it. a lot of these people were expecting something completely different thats why they tried it
also Poe2 was a brand new game and hyped up more than the second coming of christ so everyone wanted to try it out, so the high numbers were always expected. will be interesting to see how many people will go back to it. IMO unless you want to try huntress there is no reason to go back. the end game is just so bad, the economy will be busted again after week 1 because of all the bots and RMT. but hey if chain running augury maps is your thing then have fun with it.
im pretty sure GGG wont delay it becuz its not them who need to delay it its the ESG becuz GGG are much bigger company than ESG like for example blizzard dont care about PoE/PoE 2 they never delay anything even if those 2 games come out in the same day becuz blizzard dont care they are much bigger than GGG same applies here either ESG release it early or delay it but its them who need to make the move
LE also was a new game? they got 200k peak in their full release so that argument make no sense both were new games and PoE 2 got alot more recognised becuz GGG simply could afford it to advertise better becuz they are much bigger company wich is my point its the ESG who should avoid to colide with GGG and you said PoE 2 got no endgame before but now you say it have bad endgame wich is TRUE but big difference between bad endgame or no endgame and i am curious to see PoE 2 numbers too but they will be still very high compared to LE becuz GGG got alot bigger playerbase
Itâs EHG, not ESG.
Itâs not about needing it, itâs about your public image. GGG have set themselves up to be the bad guys, beating up the smaller brother, much like Blizzard did the same thing a year ago.
However, Blizzard is a multi-billion company that has a huge PR department that works on countering this (and even then there are still many players that despise Blizzard), whereas GGG doesnât have the same PR department and budget.
They didnât use to (at launch), they do now.
i also forgot to point out the first LE cycle got ruined by gold duping and destroyed market permanently you seem to have forgotten about it
why its the GGG who put themself as bad guys and not the EHG? the PoE community dont want any more delays becuz they want 3.26 patch for PoE 1 and GGG said they will only start work on it when they are finished with 0.2.0 patch for PoE 2 so there is no way they will delay it even more
Because EHG announced their release over a month ago and GGG was very aware of the release date?
GGG said months ago the new patch would be around April? so its EHG fault for ignoring it?
No, they didnât. They never gave a date for the next patch. In fact, most players were expecting a PoE1 league in March and a PoE2 league in May.
It was only when they declared they were going to do a PoE1 event (and postponing their PoE1 league) that players started speculating a new release might happen in April. And when they announced the event, EHG had already annouced their Season 2 date.
The number of concurrent players at any o e time isnât the size of the community, itâs just whoâs playing. But yes, PoE 2 is substantially bigger than LE.
Loose what exactly? Is there a prize for highest concurrent players in the first X days of a patch/league? I, personally, donât care which game has more players, Iâll play whatever game i want whenever I want without the need to get all tribal about it & swing a metaphorical dick because âmy teamâ has more players and is therefore better so that means I am betterâŚ
It doesnât matter. Just be happy playing your preferred game & let other people be happy playing theirs regardless of whether thereâs any overlap.
Also, grammar & punctuation are a thing.
I doubt that, it would mean less time fixing stuff.
yes it does matter if 2 arpg games clash with each other with their new content patches its bad for EVERYONE i shouldnt need to choose to play LE or PoE 2 becuz i want play both many want to play both thats my point and no one wants to play these type of games late in the league becuz of timed leagues
There is no difference between Season and legacy in LE, other than leaderboards and possibly economy if youâre MG, so you wonât miss out on anything by joining later.
Likewise, everything being added to PoE2 is core. So you wonât miss out on anything there either.
These games arenât like PoE1 (yet, anyway) where you will miss out if you donât play the league mechanic because it gets put in core in a watered down version, and you have the seasonal MTX rewards to chase.
Other than economy or chasing leaderboards, it makes no difference for either game, at this point, if you start on day 1 or day 50.
exactly im playing for economy many are playing trade faction in LE i wont be playing LE if 90% of people have already quit by the time i start play LE market would be dry thats my point these type of games is important to play at league start with everyone else wich is why its bad if these type of games colide with each other and make you choose what to play becuz you want to play both im still pretty sure EHG will delay it eventually you can @ me later and make fun of me if im wrong
I want to play both PoE 2 and LE, and I want to jump in right at the start of the league and season.
Maybe it doesnât matter to you, but for me, the launch hype and the freshness of everything are crucial. Without leagues / seasons (live service), and an active community, I donât think Iâd even play ARPGsâIâd probably just stick to MMORPGs.
Economy resets are one of the best features of seasons and leagues and why we are so hyped. However, if you join late, you start behind everyone else, which is a major issue for many. So yes, you end up losing quite a lot because of this.
thank you thats literally my point im trying to make
Hence why some of us are quite upset about the way GGG decided to place their new update
