i have treid shadow daggers and shurikens and it feel like they do no dmg for blade dancers compared to the dmg you get from shadow cascade.
even if you take the chakram node it still do rly low dmg compared to other skills in blade dancer tree. its fun to get free shurikens cast in shift and dancing strike tree.
shadow daggers feels rly underwhelming and clunky to proc and they dont have much suport in talents. shadow dagers feels like a fun mechanic/playstyle for blade dancers. so far all i see in builds for blade dancers is always around shadow cascade in one way or the other.
i know that rouges just came out and dont know what the devs have planed for falconer and the futere for rouges otehr specialisations but personaly i wuld love to see som more suport for shadow daggers and shurikens
That would be because neither of those are melee attacks while Shadow Cascade is, so all the added melee damage from your weapon would be used to increase the Shadow Cacade base damage but not the base damage for Shurikens & Shadow Daggers.
Hopefully Throwing attacks (that the Rogue has quite a few of, not to be confused with Bow attacks) will get more love from the passive tree.
I believe that Shadow Daggers is an ailment so thereâs no way to increase itâs base damage but you can increase itâs damage via % increased physical damage (& any âmoreâ damage nodes on the skill that procs it assuming they donât specify âhitsâ).
My Bladedancer uses bleed Shurikens in a line with extra projectiles, using 2 rings with - mana cost to make them free - its actually my single target skill and I use Shift with Cascade throwing daggers and bleeds
when I want something to die immediately I use Smoke bomb > Lethal Assault, this hits hard, creates approx 5 shadows, which all throw Shurikens with 200% extra bleeds from Smoke Bomb plus I use the â5 bleeds per 3rd hitâ it appears to work, so im throwing approx 25 Shrukns at them
You want âincreased damage with a swordâ idols as they are pretty big, plus use an axe in main hand with âphys damage/damage over time and bleed%â
I can stack up to 90k bleeds on the dummy which isnt out of this world but definately does not feel bad
Yes, ailments are in a good place for the Rogue, so many ways to get so much ailment chance & a lot of ways to apply them. If youâre going for Shurikens hit damage though and you arenât stacking flat throwing attack damage (as I assume the OP wasnât) then they would feel as bad as using a melee skill without a weapon (or any other source of added melee damage).
I was chatting with a friend on Discord last night whoâs just starteda Rogue & as he was levelling up & unlocking new skills and saying thereâs so much stuff that looks good & Iâm like, âyeah, thatâs good tooâŚâ. Thereâs just so much good stuff. Makes the other classes look decidedly limp in comparison.
Theres a streamer on right now Twitch who is using Shurikens with ricochet - his build is full of uniques but he is doing decent throwing damage, no idea on their actual build though
I didnt even bother with hit damage, infact I basically played every skill on BM until monoliths until I did a full respec into bleeds with Shurikens because I knew the âthrows in a lineâ would be exactly like Spriggan its not as strong but in early monoliths at lvl 56 I was one shotting Siege Golems in a 68 zone with it - im at 100 zone now and slowed down but definately decent - you only need 2 T1 throwing affixes and any sword/axe can work with extremely easy to craft rares
Yeah, about all I can tell is that heâs using Riverbend gloves & using shadows to get more shurikens. And crafted rings/amulet so heâs probably put a load of Ballistaâs (& maybe some Cursed shudder) prefixes on them for damage. And a Cindersong/Soulfire of all things (given that Shurikens canât be converted to fire, and I donât think Smoke Bomb or Shift can either).
