Sets need love

I love the LP system, the weaver system, the exalted crafting, the experiental crafting, the new egg mechanics. It make every item worth looking and considering.

And then there’s sets item…

Could you create a fun way to interact with them? A new crafting option for them.

Sets have been underwhelming for quite some time and the devs already said plenty of times that they are going to revamp them eventually.
No idea on when or how that will be done, though.

Set items are in a bad place in terms of balance and design. They’re largely underpowered and are dead end items with no way to upgrade them. We have plans to add a system in future that allows you to do more with them. But until that’s in, set item rewards are relatively unexciting, and we’re aware of that.

Anyone can say whatever they want. Mike, however, has so far always said that sets will NOT be revamped in 1.2, even going so far as to say that they haven’t even started looking at them and deciding what they want to do with them yet.
