Response to MTX Store

This.

I’m thrilled about the Templar pack, but $20 is too expensive; it’s literally more expensive than the game itself cost.

Is the game not 30$?

The Templar pack is $30, rounded up by a few cents.

Last Epoch costs $35 currently at retail.

The purpose of the supporter packs isn’t really to be a fair trade of money = goods, it’s a way of providing, well, support. While I think all the supporter packs should be valued equally, since the only real difference between them is a subjective cosmetic skin taste, $20 or $30 is in no way too expensive.

It’s basically a big ol’ “I support EHG and want them to have my money,” option.

I’m still of the opinion though that either they need to make each supporter pack the same price, or make it so it’s cumulative, meaning the more expensive pack contains the skins from the packs that came before it. With or without the extra EP, but that’s just my own opinion, and I’m sure someone else would disagree on that choice.

No, it was in the kickstarter.

Yup, this is the most baffling part of the pricing structure. They say art and appreciation thereof of subjective (it is) then go and put a higher price tag on some items than others…

Yes, it’s on the pic for each pack & they said on stream that the more expensive packs won’t have whats in the cheaper packs.

Not arpgs apparently. Maybe photo-realistic fps or flight sims?

Trade is coming, PvP may come & in this genre the chase for better gear to do harder content is the entire point.

I doubt that. If you’re changing 1 number, it’s almost as trivial to change 2.

Would like to see the supporter packs take the “Equal and lesser” value for the tiers, would give a bit more incentive-ish to buy the most expensive one.

Overall nice clean and clear changes

I hope they take good note that “gamers” are never satisfied and just do the things that benefit the longer term health of the company best.

Now I hope that when I invite someone random to a party I see them with cosmetics. Likewise, I will not spend more than 100 dollars a year and you will have to work for it so that my visa has legendary potential

Thank you for listening to your community and continue in this line. POE, DIABLO IV and LE. let the hunger games begin

That was my first thought as well when I read the announcement and the responses to it.

You can make fun of it, if you feel better. Do you think the EHG guys sat in their rooms and were totally shocked by the community response to their initial post? Because they were not aware of the predatory nature of the model? Really? And they come up with a 180 not even 24 hours after that?

And they even didn’t just let the people draw the conclusion “oh wow, the devs listen to the community”. No. They also needed to tell that fact right away…

Oh really? How fortunate.

This reads like a satire.

Just watch:

The best way to sell a $2,000 watch is to put it right next to a $10,000 watch. (Whens that ETA the game is coming out 2027?)

yep, instead of being the “company that listens” what about being the company that does things right in the first place without nebolous communication? things have really changed in the last months.
and being the “company that listens” requieres creating dissent and outrage in the first place, so i don’t know why EHG would want that title for them selfs.

thats not how you earn that reputation.

Thank you for the update, for sure the step in the right direction.

Already in the thread but I will also add the suggestion to pricier support packs should come with more EP. Since the packs doesn’t seem cumulative - buying the highest one don’t include all others - it will be great some discount to buy all of them.

Keep the good work and looking forward for next week patch.

I’m not a lawyer, but I would assume there’s a reason it’s never been done before (EA box-price game → F2P at launch).

I will forever regret not being here when the prior packages and kickstarter was a thing. Seems like these new supporter packs are designed for a much lower pricepoint.

However good they may be, we aren’t getting to design uniques for $50.

There’s just too much FOMO I missed honestly. I’d see someone in town with something I could never get every few minutes, and it would kill the entire experience for me.

All these first world problems are laughable.

Yes. Well. There could be any number of reasons it hasn’t been done (assuming that is the case).

If you’re seriously suggesting that they would be “sued into oblivion”… you might provide a stronger argument than “ianal never heard it done before”

Thanks but I don’t see that in the pic, I only see that it will include +150 EP but not what the actual “items” are in the pack. I can assume that maybe the Eternal Traveler will contain a portal skin, a cape/cloak, and a pet, but I’m not sure that’s what they intend by the picture itself.

Safe to assume our existing points from previous support pack that we have not been able to use yet will be available right at launch of .9.1 ?

Witch hunting intensifies.
