Resolution resets on loading screens

I play on a resolution lower than my screen (1280x720) for a better performance but on most of my loading screens after reaching the Outcast Camp (before that point in the campaign it didn’t happen) it changes my resolution after every loading screen to my screen resolution (1920x1080). The Settings still says it’s on 1280x720 and the graphicsmanager.ini also still says it’s on 1280x720 but the game actually displays in 1920x1080.
If i change any setting (other than the resolution) and hit apply it changes the resolution to the one displayed in the settings menu (1280x720) but that gets kinda annoying to do after every loading screen if i don’t want to have bad fps.
Is there a way to stop the game from changing my resolution on loading screens? I tried the different modes for fullscreen and maximized windowed and they did not solve the problem.
Best Regards
Ben

Hey… Welcome to the forums…

I do recall someone mentioning a similar problem to this a while back on the forums… but for the life of me I cant find it now to see what the solution was…

So… some suggestions:

  1. Your OS can be patched to 19042.

  2. Seems like your AMD Radeon R9 200 Series is using a pretty new driver so that should be ok

  3. I am concerned about the Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 integrated driver tho… that is pretty old… and some people on the forum had had problems with integrated & discreet GPUs messing with each other… Maybe you have a similar issue… As a test, see if you can temporarily disable the integrated graphics card in BIOS (if you can) and see if the same res reset happens. No idea if it should work, just something to try.

  4. Your monitor - could it be trying to reset itself to its default res (Google search says its 1080p) - your comment about the game saying its still on 1280x720 but it isnt made me think of this potential issue… maybe the monitor is getting a hdmi signal when LE loads the maps and its thinking it needs to reset to default? No idea… just guessing again… Check the monitor config (usually buttons on the monitor itself and see if there is any auto feature that could be doing this)…

  5. Advice on your in-game graphics - enable framerate limiting (not vsync)… in the ini file it shows you have a custom framerate of 31 but you have not enabled the feature… The limit will help LE preform better - especially with your old GPU.

  6. At the end of the dxdiag file is a Diagnostic section that shows errors that are happening on your system… there are some that I recommend you look into as they potentially could be pointing to other problems on your system… Specific ones that caught my attention are:

LiveKernelEvent 141 - this is not a good one as it usually points to faulty GPU drivers or something wrong with the GPU hardware - both 100% related to your problem with LE… It could even point to overheating problems - which, unless you are actively monitoring it, your old card could suffer from. Thermal paste etc degrades over time and the GPUs slowly start running hotter - which obviously aint good. I would advise a clean graphics card driver install via windows safe mode or using something like DDU. I would also suggest you monitor your GPU usage and temps (plenty of unitilities online, just pick one) to see if its maxing out or overheating…

There also seem to be an inordinate amount of RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 and RADAR_PRE_LEAK_WOW64 error messages… These usually refer to memory issues and most of the time, its just something that went wrong in a particular application/game… However, there are quite a few of them in your dxdiag - I dont normally see this many… It may be that you need to check your windows error logs and see if there are memory related issues and you might want to run some memory testing (again EHG has some suggestions here but you can just search Google to find something to use if you dont have)
