Release your league 2 weeks prior PoE 2 not 1 week

surely they will release 2 weeks before PoE 2 not just 1 week unless they want to lose majority of playerbase just 1 week into their new cycle they changed their date previous time becuz they know how important are not to collide with each other

They are not going to be able to do that again. Move their date I mean. Especially forward. Now this time it is on EHG as POE2 was announced to be launching end of August before.
I don’t know why they choose those disadventageous release dates. It’s also Gamescom, so they also loose a lot of free advertisement from streamers.

yes very weird decision from EHG 2 weeks would be plenty enough for MOST people to be done with this game and do everything they wanted there isnt much to do yet in this game so 2 weeks is okay but now majority will only play for 1 week wich is a real shame i really wanted play it for longer like before but il always choose PoE 2 over LE so would majority

I would push it ahead one week just because GamesCon starts that weekend and every streamer worth streaming will be there and not playing

Do not a rush with conclusions.

what conclusions? they already delayed their first cycle becuz of PoE 2 and made it 2 week apart from each other wich was the right decision if they want to make money they need as many players as possible they are not gonna get that if just 1 week after is already PoE 2 for most people 2 weeks is enough to be done with LE since theres nothing much to do

What if they can’t release 1 week earlier? You’re asking for 3 week delay then.

Tides are shifting. PoE 2 had a terrible season 2 and many refugees started Last Epoch because this game is actually fun. This now caused PoE 2 to launch after LE because they don’t want a repeat because they been missing the mark with content and are moving too slowly with changes.

PoE is the one that should be worried about their Season 3 not Last Epoch. As of right now PoE has nothing going for it’s next season and Last Epoch stands to gain more PoE players and ARPG players.

At no point should LE move their date now because it doesn’t make sense. LE has the advantage and it’s their advantage to lose. I’m sure Season 3 will be a bigger success than Season 2 and likely people will stick with LE and not bother with PoE 2 till much latter in their season when they make more changes.

PoE 2 is a game that is 30% finished and Season 3 for them adds too little and most are now writing it off til they are actually closer to launch when they add more classes and weapons.

POE2 is absolutely a threat to LE. I think they are adding three acts next season? And POE 1 and 2 will be releasing seasons every two months or so, alternating between them. So there is a window tLE can slip into between them. Either by releasing next season a few weeks after POE1’s next season.

Things will only get worse once POE2 leaves early access and everyone has access to it.

Was last season isn’t this season. LE needed a huge Season 2 and they got it. LE needed to release Season 3 on schedule and they are. PoE 2 had mostly negative reviews in Season 2 and they are trying to ā€œwin backā€ their audience.

I’d say PoE 2 launching close to LE is more of an inconvenience for ARPG players than a threat. It’s just not ideal but we can play LE a finished game for a few months then head over to see what PoE 2 in early access added.

They have nothing confirmed, in fact they have made statements that the expected druid and swords aren’t coming either. Which is what a majority of players are waiting on. I myself am waiting on swords.

I play both games and am playing the end of PoE 2 Season 2 currently while waiting for LE Season 3 which I will play for at least 2 months on release.

LE is a far better, polished, finished game with a clear vision. PoE 2 lacks core systems, classes, class design, campaign, weapons, loot, crafting and is a bugged mess. PoE 2 has no clear identity and the players and Devs seem confused. PoE 2 has massive work to do.

Cleary one game currently has an advantage going into Season 3 and it’s not PoE.

PoE 2 latest season had more players than LE had in their peak by your logic LE last cycle was also terrible

you are coping so hard not even funny LMAO PoE 2 have far bigger advantage over LE and will always have even their small leagues have more players than LE had in their peak and PoE 2 core systems are much better than LE already you can tell me again how LE have advantage over PoE 2 1 week after LE cycle is out and PoE 2 new league is released

You obviously need a history lesson.

PoE 2 Season 2 had a huge launch due to hype and expectations and was MASSIVELY hated! PoE 2 reviews of their new season was overwhelmingly NEGATIVE. Only 13% positive. It was so bad that GGG needed to have emergency meeting to fix the dumpsterfire and interviews speaking on it.

Season 2 was a massive failure for PoE 2 and lost over 50% of it’s players a couple weeks latter when Last Epoch launched it’s season. Everyone quit PoE 2 because of how bad it was and left to play Last Epoch. Then Last Epoch had a huge successful season based on the fact they more than ā€œdoubledā€ their players from Season 1.

Season 2 was such a disaster for PoE 2 that it’s 80% overall rating dumped and is now 69% and cause Jonathan to have that spicy interview with Ziz where he lashed out.

If you think Season 2 went well for PoE 2 you are hilariously wrong. It was an epic disappointment for the players and GGG.

I’ve pointed out factually how this isn’t true. You have done nothing to offer any counter argument because you don’t understand the situation or facts. Instead you are just saying Nuh uh. Which doesn’t get you anywhere in a coversation.

PoE 2 suffered major losses in Season 2 that was devastating for the game and it’s brand. We can factually say this because that is how it historically played out. I’ve now educated you on this history so hopefully this makes more sense now.

GGG didn’t have emergency interviews, patches because Season 2 was good. The reviews obliterated that game.

Again… This fact remains

I’d also like to be clear, I want both games to thrive. I really hope PoE 2 fixes all the problems they have and can speed up development. Until then Last Epoch is in the driver seat, they are in the lead. All EHG has to do is keep delivering great Seasons.

you are still coping lmao and refusing to admit that so called PoE 2 ā€œfailureā€ had more players in their small league than LE ever had in its peak how is that ā€œnu uhā€ literally look up steam chart numbers about both games they had more PC players alone than LE peak not even counting console playerbase that makes up for like 50% of PC players that is my argument by your own logic LE is a total failure aswell then and the fact stand indeed PoE 2 have far more advantage over LE they got far better player retention they still manage to keep 40k+ playersa after 2 months in their league unlike in LE just after 2 weeks its already down to 10k or below becuz LE still have almost no endgame content unlike PoE 2 wich have far more endgame content and its just 0.2 version while LE is full release so keep coping blud

I did that and proved you wrong above with the chart numbers. You are being completely dishonest and ignoring the facts.

Because I laid out very clear history of facts on what happened and you aren’t making ANY COUNTER to those facts. You are saying words like cope and ignoring the conversation because you have some biased echo chamber in your head.

The only one coping here is you by ignoring PoE 2 massive failures and how they are in trouble with their player base. PoE 2 needs to win them back in Season 3, key words ā€œWin them backā€. The pressure is on GGG not LE and EHG.

Let me link this again since you didn’t read it the first time. It’s a detailed history of the numbers and timeline.

Wrong.

LE DOUBLED it’s player base in Season 2 and PoE 2 LOST MOST of it’s player base and had overwhelmingly negative reviews. This is basic common sense that LE was a massive success while PoE 2 was a massive failure. LE is improving and PoE 2 had a massive decline that caused GGG and Jonathan to do an apology tour in interviews and patches.

It’s like you are ignoring everything that actually happened.

Every statistical metric showed how much of a dumpsterfire Season 2 was for PoE 2. This is why Jonathan and GGG had to apologize for what happened. Last Epoch players just had fun and welcomed all the PoE 2 refugees. Just keep ignoring the facts though, only one here looking silly and coping is you.

Good luck, take it easy and everything is fine. Well PoE 2 isn’t fine but at least we have LE.

poe1/2 will always win the ā€œpopularityā€ contest.

but LE has a god damn lot that makes me gravitate towards LE.

if a person likes poe more than LE, why bother competing.

make LE a great game for LE fans.

not a good game to attract a group of people who want something else.

you literally didnt look them up and are now just low quality trolling and baiting atleast put some effort in it will you?

LE highest ever peak concurent players on steam chart (256k) PoE 2 a massive ā€œfailureā€ league numbers had 250k PC players concurent and another 100k console players concurent that means 350k overall please explain to me how is 250k greater than 350k blud doesnt even know basic math

the only thing you laid out clear is your low effort for low quality trolling without making any actual counter argument just made up numbers from your ass you have some biased echo chamber in your head

so called massive ā€œfailureā€ had 100k more concurent players in their so called massive ā€œfailureā€ league than LE had in their so called ā€œgreatā€ cycle season LMAO blud still coping learn what actually means massive ā€œfailureā€

everyone didnt quit PoE 2 at all you just coping and trolling they had great player retention even after 2 months in their massive ā€œfailureā€ league they still had 30k players concurent LE after 2 months had 10k players concurent left in their ā€œGREATā€ succesfull cycle season

Explain to me how going from 256k highest peak to 150k in their next cycle season is ā€œDOUBLEDā€ their playerbase? they have 100k less concurent players than their peak as i said you are jusr making up random assumptions out of your ass and just doing low quality trolling people 10-20 years ago atleast put some effort in trolling anyway

good luck take it easy everything is fine well LE isnt fine but atleast we have PoE 2 and PoE

That’s a bit deceptive:

  1. Season 1 saw a massive drop from launch because it didn’t change enough and people were bored with the launch endgame
  2. Season 2 took 9 months to release and overhauled the game

But yes LE was able to capitalize on POE2’s unpopular season.

POE2 is still a much bigger game than LE and google trends will give a decent snapshot of the general interest in both games.

https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=now%207-d&geo=US&q=path%20of%20exile%202,last%20epoch&hl=en

Both games directly compete with one another, especially when releasing updates at roughly the same time. A one week window for LE is simply not enough imo.

finally somone with a real common sense and i completely forgot it took them 9 months for their next season and it still had much less players than what PoE 2 cooked in just 4 months and was bad league

From my personal experience the people I know either don’t care about LE or don’t care about PoE. For some LE is far to easy and they have no fun with it and others say PoE is a slog of a game with the most stupid crafting crap. This goes back and forth for whatever reasons but there is a clear divide with the people I know.

So from my experience all arpg’s could starte at the same time, what would be kind of stupid yeah, but people would still play the arpg they enjoy first and if they have time they look into other games. It’s the same with release dates. Remember the time when most stuff released on september and you don’t know wich of the 6 games you want to buy first? This was no issue back then and it’s no issue today.

I don’t force myself to run down one game just to be ready to run down the next. For example Hero Siege start a season in the same time frame and I will most likely play it because I can unwind pretty well playing HS and therefor it’s my #1. When I played HS enough I look into the next game.
