I had gone back and forth for awhile on if I should try the game. His thoughts and talking about the game actually made me try it out, and I’m glad I did. It’s clear the devs are actual gamers and really care about this project and it shows. Happy to support them and be part of this community as it grows.

It’s been a lot of fun watching him play and experience things for the first time!

This is fascinating.
I don’t mean any offence, it is just so far away from the way I think/behave that I have to ask…
What made you go ā€œback and forthā€ instead of just jumping in and trying for yourself? The price?
Why would a ā€œvideoā€ with a static background image convince you? Did you know this guy before and trust his judgement?

Again, no offence meant, genuinely curious, I am from another generation and I don’t follow/trust social media in any form…

No offense taken at all. TLDR at the bottom but: More so just wanted to make sure it was worth my time, I actually started a few days ago before that video but I’ve had bad experience with EA stuff before. Raxx is just someone I’ve followed over the years on and off who I’ve had very similar opinions with regarding Diablo specifically. I’m coming over from D4 which we all know how that is currently, and the timing just worked out to where I was looking for a new ARPG. I’ve played POE before too it’s just not for me. This game seems to fit perfect for what I am looking for. The fact that it’s this good and this much fun prior to release shows great promise. It reminds me of D2 and D3 after many years. Add to that the community seems great, I’ve not seen any toxicity only constructive feedback. I’ve seen the devs on Twitch interacting with chatters and people talking in general chat to each other genuinely helping out. It’s something I’ve not seen very much of since I played Vanilla WoW all those years ago.

TLDR it’s fun and refreshing to see game devs and a community that work together to push the game in the right direction and produce quality content that shows they play their own game, understand what is fun, and value what the players want. Very much looking forward to launch of 1.0 and the bright future I think this game has. I’ve already recommended it to a few friends in the same boat as me.

Why are you so angry? Can you list some examples how these two have contributed to damaging the gaming industry?

Raxx has 270K followers. His interest will boost attention and awareness to LE. I’m pretty sure the hard working dev team gladly welcomes his streams and subscribers.

You seem jelly. Them making money doesn’t affect you.

Relax.

Sometimes if people aren’t happy with a thing they don’t want anybody to be happy with a thing (& tribalism, which is also pretty common).

Hopefully there’s no double posting, pikey train internet is pikey…

I just ask myself how much of his liking for LE is coming from playing something new. At the end of the day LE offers the same as D4 as of right now. Do a stupid level after a stupid level while the game is done at 85 where you get a good item once every blue moon. To me this is like running nightmare dungeons again in a game thatruns worse then D4.

Still I hope LE will be good and make a good first impression at release but right now I’m I bit sceptical my hopes will come true. Then again Raxx liking LE brings some new players or at least intrest to the game and there is nothing wrong with this.

Omg I am so happy for him now my day is good hahhahah

yes he does

Same this raxx was part of the blizzard paid D4 hype group who deceived thousands of people into buying D4 saying how d4 is best game ever.

You see, that group of people had the opportunity to play whole D4 , long before release and no, i am not talking about beta weekends. They saw D4 has nothing to offer, yet they proceed to lie in every video of theirs. True , they couldn’t reveal what’s endgame all about because of their contract , but they were paid to say game is best ever.

Do we really need people like that ? I know i don’t.

I mean, more Last Epoch marketing = more people = more money = more stuff in game , but i am positive LE doesn’t need raxx to be good , because Last Epoch in its pre release state is already better than D4 game made by blizzard and game that’s 10 uptades and almost 2 seasons in.

raxx has been changing his mind and oppinions often , which screams insecurity.

Would you mind to show that contract? Raxx was one of the most dissapointed D4 stremers i wittnesed. I made my homework when it came to D4 and Blizz devs simply lied what they will add to the endgame and what edgame will be on release.

Everyone knew what they were up to playing the first closed playtest up to lvl 25 so to speak. There was not much change at all outside of killing uber Lilith.

We can only guess if Raxx or other streamers had any contracts or if this is made up by a person who spews crap that isn’t proofable. We’ll never know.

Still more coverage of LE = more people know LE is a thing = more potential LE buyers and players = bigger chance LE will still be a thing even if the release is terrible. For LE every big streamer that talks about LE is a win BUT there are already overhyped people again that will crash hard when they realise how little there is to do in LE and that the game is done far earlier then level 100.

Raxx is one of the most down to earth streamers out there who delivers quality content without thinking the whole universe revolvs arround him. He simply likes to explain stuff and help with theorycrafting while playing a game on stream.
Then again I think he overhypes LE and some people will have a rough time sooner or later but for LE it is only helpfull.

A wild guess at the end: I think Raxx positivly covering LE did more for LE then the rest of the LE maxroll team did combined. They have an intresting roster of people covering LE but to me it looks like Raxx created more intrest in LE in one day then they did since the maxroll LE community was a thing.

There is no way this is a bad thing for EHG. Some players might be dissapointed at a certain point but we’ll see how everything works out.

He is a hack and slay streamer to make things short. Diablo 3+4, starting with PoE and LE. Competent dude who did a lot of theorycrafting and numbercrunching and guide stuff. Not more not less but I think the ā€œnew shiney game!ā€ situation is at it’s best (worst9 because there is a lot of overhyping involved.

If you’re doing closed testing you’ll be working under an NDA.

rax himself said he cant reveal the endgame because of contract clause ,are you really that dumb to ask his contract from me?

Buddy, you are simping for a guy who don’t even know you exist…

He sure did and he was in the endgame beta test that is under nda sure. Then again what he said after was under the premise of Blizzard keeping their word and not some tinfoilhat gamer gate.

D4 was already in a bad place in the closed and open beta and everyone intrested was able to see it. Sadly some pepole took Blizzards word for granted that a lot of things will change and be added in the lategame. THIS is the big problem because all the Blizz devs did at this point was telling people lies and everyone who had high hopes this changes come true had a bad time with D4. I bought, even preordered ^^, D4 and I was well aware it take them at least 3 seasons if not an expension to make a half descent game.

Yeah he talked about the publicly available information Blizzard gave to anyone. You act like you know everything so instead of calling other people dumb offer the information that made you take the statement above. You simply make up stuff and that is not okay.

funny how he mentions that he doesn’t like the uber-uniques in D4. Well, he’ll find plenty of those super rare items (or rather not find them) in LE…

Isn’t he also one of the streamers who came up with the ā€˜Open Letter’ to Blizzard on things that D3 needed for improvement? IIRC, he worked with his viewers, and other D3 streamers to make the list, categorize and prioritize it. It was pretty good work, from what I can remember.
